"S-sorry, ma'am..." Rheaus had spilled his third pitcher of water that day with a jarring crash. He was really out of his element here; it even made the more psychologically inclined coworkers posit that this was some sort of subconscious slip which found its way through the fish frontal lobe into his behavior. This, however, would require more testing than any of them were willing or capable to doing, so the proof remained aggregate as they whistled and clapped from behind the counter.
"Alright, get to work, assholes!" Someone wasn't so amused, though. Not so much angry with Rheaus' blunder as he was disappointed in his other employees. Towels were snapped and the pie jockeys were back to flipped and shoveling dough like crazy in no time.
"Woah." He stepped in with his acquaintance, looking over the establishment. Simple, everything in decor of a watered-down italian restaurant shaded mainly in red. Tabletops were checked and the decor with paintings were simple. Yet, this simplicity was greatly appealing. Everything smelled fresh in baked dough and assortments of things to go over it.
"This is wonderful. I burned down a place just like this months back. It's nice to see there are others just like that one." His eyes grazed to their corners looking over to his demon friend. "So, how's this work exactly? Do we just... sit down?" Cackle knew nothing about eating out at places. It never occurred to him what went down with human lives and surely there had to be some customary action when you ate somewhere. Food didn't just suddenly appear.

"This really isn't a good idea. Ever since Adrasteia's death I've been... I don't know. Skeptical? Why do you want to go here, anyways, dear?"

Not healthy? What? He shook his head nervously, and sat down. What was this? Some sort of pizza place..? Gross. Dionysus smiled softly, and pulled out his chalice, tapping on it to fill it with wine. "What type of pizza would you like, dear?" he motioned for one of the workers to come to the table, and waited patiently as they got their notepad out. "I'd like two slices of pepperoni pizza. This is grape juice, by the way, and she'll have..." he glanced at Aphrodite, then, and his eyes began to glow.

Dio nodded to the waiter as they walked off, and he let out a sigh. It's not that he didn't want to be in the mortal world... he just, well no, he didn't want to. He hated mortals. Especially dealing with teenage fathers. Why did they have to have sex all the time? He should've made every one infertile. Dionysus smiled at the beautiful Goddess, and pulled out another chalice. "You know I always bring an extra. Of course you can have some of the finest grape juice." he winked, tapping the chalice gently and handing it to her. There was a small clunk at the bottom, but he was hoping she wouldn't notice. "Drink this carefully.. You'll choke if you chug it." he warned, not mentioning the ring that had 'accidentally' fallen into the cup.

"hm?" she peered into the chalice, fishing out the ring with her fingers. "How?.... How did this beautiful thing get in there?" She asked.

Dio's eyes lit up, and he chuckled softly. "Hm, I suppose it must have fallen right into your drink. How strange.." the God mused, before gently taking the ring from her hand. He stood then, and glanced around the practically empty pizza parlor. The waiter was trying her best not to stare. Dionysus kneeled on his knee, in the crummy little parlor, and looked up at the beautiful Goddess. "Aphrodite, I remember the first day we met. I never imagined proposing to such a crazy, bubbly girl like you. But, you've grown into someone that I don't ever want to lose. So.. will you marry me?" he tried to keep the smile from spreading across his face.

The thoughts running through her mind. Her hands went up to her lips in shock. Her eyes filling with tears. Out of all these years, no one. Not one person asked for her hand. But here was Dionysus, asking her to be his. The one thing no one else did. Someone who loved her for her heart. The dam broke, her tears spilling down her face as she tackled him onto the floor, kissing him passionately. "I will marry you Dionysus! I love you!" She sobbed. She had never felt so happy in that moment. No words could explain what her heart was feeling."

Dionysus grinned and went to speak, but was pinned against the floor. He felt her soft lips against his, and smiled. "And to think I was worried you'd reject." He chuckled, holding her close. After a few moments, he helped her up, and stood up, brushing himself off. "So, um, are we taking this pizza to go?" he smirked, glancing at the waiter, who was tearing up.
