Listening to: La Lune┗━━━━━━━━━┛ April tried to clear her head after another long day by taking a walk around town. What usually helped was a large meal, but she was a long ways away from her dorm by now. She sighed, a bit angry with herself for going this far without thinking to bring a snack. She squeezed the shoulder straps of her bag as her stomach growled. It was time, sooner than expected. If only she hadn't rushed out the door this morning. Maybe then April would have packed back up food like she usually does.
The hunger came quickly in fierce tremors of her stomach.
Her eyes darted left and right, but nothing quick was nearby. Suddenly, she heard a whimper behind her. Turning around, she saw a stray dog looking for scraps. Normally, her heart would hurt for the poor creature and she would share her food with the mutt. As of right now, she only could see a meal. She barely had the thought to make sure no one was around. The dog could sense the girls intent, and started to back away into an alley. April followed, and as they went into the shadows, her jaw unhinged grotesquely as she devoured the animal in two bites.
After the deed was done, April felt ashamed of her beast-like depravity. She loved animals, and would never eat one unless she really had to. This was one of those times. After mourning the loss of the pup for a few moments, she started to go back to the dormitories. Upon feeling a warm sensation on her chest, April realized that her shirt had blood splattered on it. Pretty badly too. Embarrassed, she ran into the community hall, knowing it was usually empty when not in use. She will have to clean herself up before showing herself to the public.

Mood: RelaxedLiustraes did not feel like going to his class on his first day, as he felt they probably did not know he arrived, or they probably did not care if he showed up. The man looked around, as he wanted to explore the large town. He truly enjoyed walking, and he also was curious about going to the Community Hall. Liustraes had heard that it was a good place to go to hangout or to have some peace and quiet. To him, that sounded like a great idea, it was until he heard an odd crunching sound. He disregarded the sound, as he knew it probably meant nothing, unaware that it was April devouring an animal. The man looked away for a moment before seeing April run into the Community Hall. Liustraes decided he should go inspect what was happening, so he followed the girl into the community hall and asked, "Hey, is everything alright?" He did not see the splatter of blood on her shirt. The man thought to himself, I wonder if she is okay. Was she the reason I heard that chomping noise? No, that's stupid to assume. (to remind you to quote me biggrin )

Listening to: La Lune┗━━━━━━━━━┛ Luckily, April had brought her bag with her. She often kept wet napkins and other cleaning supplies in case something like this happened. Being a ghoul made her very prepared. She took off the bag and started rummaging through it when she heard the door open behind her. It was then she heard a familiar voice. 'Oh no…what do I do', she thought to herself. No doubt, her mouth was covered in blood, as she could still taste it when she licked her lips. April kept her back turned toward him, knowing that if she looked, he would see. She would have to make him leave so she could resume getting cleaned up.
"I'm fine…just…just go away…please"

Mood: RelaxedLiustraes was curious to why she was telling him that she was fine, but telling him to go away. He felt something was off about the situation, and he thought, Was I right? She's human looking... The man sighed and said, "Don't worry, I'm not going to judge you. I sometimes do things that I don't want to either." He only said that because he was not sure if she did something, so he was letting her know in case she did do something that it was okay. Liustraes was forced to kill many things without having to think about it, so he was desensitized to it. However, he still wondered about if other people did that too. ()

Listening to: La Lune┗━━━━━━━━━┛ He was speaking as if he already knew what she had done. April wondered if he had seen her when she went inside. She must've looked awfully disgusting and suspicious. The thought of someone like Liustraes seeing her like this made her upset. She was hoping they could be friends. It seemed to her that it was hopeless now, even though he was saying it was okay. She didn't see him understanding what she does, even though he claimed to get it. She doubted that he had to eat raw meat and often kill animals to survive, and more importantly, prevent a feeding frenzy.
"How can you say that…when you don't know what I've done?"
She turned to face him. April was preparing for what he was going to say next, she figured that if she just scared him away with all this blood now, it wouldn't hurt as bad later on. No reason to prevent the inevitable, anyway. Still, she couldn't bring herself to look at his face. Instead, April was staring at the ground anxiously.

Mood: RelaxedLiustraes truly understood what she had to go through, as he survived on the island of Solaria for months before he had found the rebels. He sighed and said, "Because in my past, I had to do similar things. I had to survive on an island for months before I could find any help or civilizations that would protect me against the capital. I had to kill animals, and even people to survive. I may look human, but looks betray. I'm a synthetic demon; born human, but changed to a demon." He did not like talking about his past, but he figured he should let her understand why he thought it was okay. When she turned around, he walked up to her and gave a gentle hug. Liustraes knew his shirt would be stained, but he honestly did not care. The man said, "You can't always help your instincts. It's what drives you to live and to not die. Sometimes you have to deal with that, and it helps you become better at dealing with it in front of people." He made sure his hug was gentle, as his skin was infused with metal, so he could very easily crush a person accidentally. ()

Listening to: La Lune┗━━━━━━━━━┛ While she sympathized with his story, she couldn't see why he thought it was the same. April wasn't stranded in the wild, she was in society and was expected to act like it. She thought that once he saw her, he would be disgusted or uneasy. To her surprise he started to walk over to her. He put his arms around her, and she stiffened up, but soon relaxed once she realized what he was doing. After letting his words sink in, she found that they might have more in common than she originally thought. April was changed into a ghoul against her will after she had died. She still looks human, but fears that she is just an 'empty' body. For someone to understand that and still want to be around, it was indescribable. Her eyes started to fill with tears. She couldn't help it, the flood gates were open.
This morning they were strangers, and now April was getting blood and tears on the poor guy. She wished she could turn invisible, this whole exchange was very embarrassing for her. The least she could do was hug him back, so she did.

Mood: RelaxedLiustraes did wonder if she had a similar story about her race, but he was not going to ask. He knew he stretched out on a limb to get her to feel okay. When he felt her tears, he knew he hit a tender spot, but it did not feel like a bad hit; it felt like something she needed to hear. He gently patted her on the back and said, "What I find most interesting about the world is that the seemingly completely different people can have a lot in common. Hell, they can even surprise each other." He pondered on that last statement, What exactly makes us different though? We're still people; we have reasons to be the way we are. It was in that moment he realized the hug had lasted quite awhile. Liustraes genuinely asked, "Are you okay?" This was the big brother coming out of him; he wanted people to be happy. ()

Listening to: La Lune┗━━━━━━━━━┛ April wondered why she seemed completely different to him, if that was what he was talking about. He did seem like the kind of person who would get along easily with people, maybe that was a big difference. Maybe she seemed like the kind of person who was a loner. 'This isn't the time to be focusing on those kind of things', she told herself. She just wanted to be happy for the moment. April had calmed down when he asked if she was okay. She nodded, pulling away from him.
"Yeah…Oh, oh no." she frowned, "I'm so sorry, your shirt…h-hold on."
After quickly wiping her eyes, she grabbed her bag from the ground, taking a few wet napkins from a container. She offered them to him.

Mood: RelaxedLiustraes noticed she was thinking about something before she was frowning about what she did to his shirt. He looked at her and smiled before saying, "Don't worry, you got the lower part of my shirt. My jacket will cover it. Plus, I have other shirts in my backpack just in case." He gave her a warm smile before asking, "Do you ever wonder why we have instincts still, like other than we have them for survival?" He laughed a little, as it was a bit of a dumb question, but he figured he should be the one to say it. He sighed, as he sat down in one of the chairs, offering her a seat next to him. The man wondered about many things, but he knew many answers. He always pondered what was the point of illuminating a tunnel of knowledge when it had no end. Liustraes's response to that was always: to keep mankind moving forward, never stopping, unless necessary. He took a long look at April before saying, "I've always been a person to ask many questions. I don't always give a lot of answers though, even if I have them."()

Listening to: La Lune┗━━━━━━━━━┛ Since he didn't need them, she used it to wipe her face clean. If he kept extra shirts with him, maybe he has a similar problem. That problem being an insatiable hunger for raw flesh. What a terrible thing to have in common. She had an extra shirt in her bag as well, but she couldn't change in front of him. She will just have to make do by trying to cover up the mess with her sweater. Once he offered her a seat, she sat down, a bit taken off guard by his question.
"I think…self preservation is the only reason. No matter what, your body wants you to keep going, even if you don't want to."
She felt that answer was correct, as she couldn't think of any other answer. Listening to his next statement, she felt he was a kind of person to want to see all perspectives. April didn't think that was a bad quality.

Mood: RelaxedLiustraes smiled at her answer, as he always thought that, but he wondered if that was an instinctual trait or not. He realized that she could not change in front of him, so he said, "Uh, I'm going to go change my shirt, and you can trust me on this, I won't look when you're changing. If you're still skeptical of me though, I can walk outside of the building." With that, the man took his jacket off, actually looking at how much blood was covered on him, and to his surprise it was actually very little. He guessed that most of it dried on her shirt. Liustraes said, "I'm not very comfortable with changing outside with all of those strangers, and I apologize if I make you uncomfortable by changing here." He looked around seeing if there were any private rooms, but he had no such luck. The man unbuttoned his shirt, and took it off, revealing the three bullet scars on his back. He did almost a complete 180, opening his backpack and pulling out a new, blue shirt. With that, he put it on, buttoning it up, and tucking in the unnecessary fabric. The student went back to pick up his jacket, putting it back on and sitting down again. Liustraes put a thick blindfold on that he could not reach the knot for over his eyes, just to reassure her that he was not lying. (I apologize for the second quote; I needed to add a bit extra.)

She preoccupied herself by grabbing the clean shirt from her bag, along with a plastic bag to store the bloody ones. April got up after he blindfolded himself, she thought it was overkill but it did make her feel more comfortable. She took off all her layers and put on the fresh long sleeved shirt. No matter what she wore, April was always a bit chilly, but the heavy layers were comforting to her and it did seem to help with the cold, if only a little. She changed as quickly as possible, putting the bloody articles in the plastic bag.
"Okay…You can look now"

Mood: RelaxedLiustraes waited patiently for her to get dressed. He did not like taking advantage of people, and when she said it was okay to look, he took the blindfold off. The man opened his backpack, pulling out a plastic bag and putting his shirt in there. He decided that later that day he would discard the bag in a trashcan. Liustraes gave a smile before asking, "Do you have any questions? I am willing to answer now." He had a feeling that she had more questions than she was letting on earlier, so he felt like asking. ()
