Whether you arrived here through the portal on the gym wall or by walking around the outside of the castle, the view is the same. Tables, games, and booths dot the area, and a large moon is rising in the sky behind an odd beanstalk you could swear was not there yesterday.
The music playing inside sounds muffled out here and is rendered slightly off key by interference from the portal and the gymnasium walls. Floating lanterns and candles illuminate the area, their highest concentration near the frog table at the center of the activities. The light fades the farther you get from the frogs, but guests milling about in the ring of shadows at the edge of the clearing should still take heed: the gnomes are watching.
Please do not erase any posts. If you roll incorrectly, just reroll!
You may continue "playing" after you have played! "Per day" availability of games only counts for your first eligible roll(s). You may play games for RP flavor as much as you like after that, they just won't be counted.
You don't have to play games at all! Feel free to use this thread as an outdoor RP venue instead.
A mysterious beanstalk stretches into the sky just past the rest of the activities. If you try to climb it or fly to its top, an invisible force stops you.

Scattered around the game area are a number of large, woven carpets with rows of colorful dots adhered to them. If you express even the slightest bit of interest, a gnome scampers over and spins a plastic dial at you, barking orders when its hand goes still. You can move on and find a carpet of your own, but expect a lot of grumbling from the Twister-loving gnome.
1. Roll 2d20. Paste this code at the top of your twister posts so that people know you're playing and can join you! If you want to play a private game, there's no need to use the code.
The first die indicates the appendage you should aim to place on the mat.
1-5: right hand 6-10: left hand 11-15: right foot 16-20: left foot
If you are missing any of the body parts you roll, please place another of your existing parts on the appropriate spot. Or, you know, don't. This is just for fun! please keep it pg tho omg
Quote:
The second die is the spot you place your body part on. Please see the image at the top of this post or right here for reference.
There is no way to win or lose! If you stick around though, something might happen!

On a table at the center of the activity area sit two velvet pillows, each topped with a small jewel-bright frog. Your task is simple: pick a frog and kiss it.
"Go on, lay it on 'em." The gnome watching you seems far too interested in what you're going to do next.
1) Choose the male or female frog. Don't worry if someone else has already won the frog on display, you will receive another frog from our back catalog if you win while we're away.
2) Roll 1d8 and match your roll to the list below. RP kissing your frog. MWAH!
Quote:
The frog responds to your lackluster kiss by hopping off of its pillow to take its union mandated break, revealing the chunky plastic ring it's been sitting on. It doesn't look like much, but you're surprised to find it's just your size.
[ This ring allows your character to hop as high as twice their height when they are wearing it. It does not work indoors or once prom had ended. It may not be given away, even if you have more than one. ]
You win a Ribbit Royalty minipet! It will include all of the frogs won at this booth over the course of prom as alts, but it is not yet available because there is no way to know how many frogs will be won!
With a startled squeak, your frog leaps onto the ground, lost for a moment in the folds of the dark tablecloth. It soon begins to grow rapidly, finally stopping at a height similar to your own. Your frog has become bipedal and humanoid, though whether it's as royal as advertised is up for debate.
Please do not RP your new date until you have been quoted by TiH Student Council.

A thin branch twined with vines and colorful flowers hangs suspended a fixed distance off of the ground. Every hour, the branch descends and that distance shrinks. A couple of gnomes are passing the time by walking right under the branch, high-fiving each other on the other side. You suspect it might be a little more challenging for someone a bit taller.
How low can you go?
Roll 1d10. If you roll lower than the number listed below, you have successfully passed under the branch.
The branch's current height is 5.
If you do not, you may return tomorrow, though it may only be a few minutes or hours later for your character!
If you roll under the current height of the branch, you win! Please edit this form into your winning post.
You will receive a silver seed for each day you successfully limbo under the branch.

A darkened tent sits at the edge of the activity area, its canvas flaps waving slightly even when there is no breeze. If you decide to enter, a wizened old fairy godmother greets you with a warm, fetid grin.
"Hello, dearie! Have a seat and I'll tell you your fortune."
The inside of the tent echoes unnaturally, and every so often you can hear faint laughter and moaning. Or maybe that's screaming. Eh, whatever.
Roll 1d12 and match your roll to the fortunes below! Each character may have their fortune told three times a day and you may roll all three of their fortunes in the same post, if you're so inclined. Please paste the code below at the top of your fairy godmother posts for organizational purposes!
LOOK INTO MY FUTURE, O FAIRY GODMOTHER!
Quote:
"You will enjoy something blue very soon. Now get out of my sight." "The next student you dream of shall be your lifetime companion. Apologies." She hands you a single Petal. The oracle tells you a fifteen minute story about bad eggs. There are three Petals lying on the table between you and she doesn't notice when you take them. "Beware of the minipets," the old woman warns. "Here. For the damages." She gives you two Petals. "Don't stand out in the rain! You clothes will shrink!" She pats your hand. "How would you react if I said... underpants party?" The fairy godmother passes you four Petals. "Get yourself some nice ones, dear. You wouldn't want to be a laughingstock." "You should start a band!" The old woman gives you a double thumbs up. "I sense you are a nice little creeper at heart, but something horrible is about to befall you. And not the good kind of horrible." She hands you five Petals, probably out of pity. "If you promise that you'll go out and buy the fanciest dress two petals can buy, I will give them to you." If you agree, she hands you two Petals. "It's not worth it to get stranded at a sleepover. Take some money to call your mom." The fairy godmother gives you one Petal. "Do you like crabs?" "Someone stole something from the chickens." She eyes the beanstalk. "You probably shouldn't get involved."
Please keep track of your own Petal wins! We will only be checking for duplicate uses of Petals when they are cashed in for Face Painting or with the Suspicious Merchant, so keep links to where you won them handy!
Also please note: Each character may only spend the Petals they won for themselves and Petals may not be transferred between characters.

A handful of eager gnomes armed with paintbrushes and tiny sponges mill about the area just past the photo booth. They know how to paint faces in five different styles, as indicated by their handy placard. If you'd like them to paint yours, make sure you have enough Petals, then take a seat. Petals may be won from the fairy godmother in the post above this one!
They will also attempt to paint other things, but custom paintjobs not only cost more, they are also not guaranteed to be devastatingly lovely.

A number of posters picturing Rapunzel during one of the lower points in her life decorate this corner. The gnome watching over the area hands you a clump of hair attached to a pin and gestures toward one of the posters.
Roll 1d6. If you roll a 3, you have successfully pinned the hair onto Rapunzel's smooth, flawless dome.
You receive one of the minipets below! Your choice! (Though we would prefer if you didn't ask for two of the same one.)
Please edit your winning post with the following form:

An unmanned table sits to the left of the portal. A glass jar is balanced on its top and a bundle of index cards is stacked next to it. There are pens too, a whole handful near the cards.
A small sign on the jar reads:
GUESS RUMPELSTILTSKIN'S NEW NAME WIN A PRIZE!
This game lasts for the entirety of prom. Each player may only enter once.
To play, guess Rumpelstiltskin's new moniker from the list below and post your choice in this thread. You may not choose the same name as anyone else who has entered, so please check the second spoiler tag to see which numbers have already been picked.
The list of names:

At the end of the event, 1d100 will be rolled and the person who chose the name closest to that number will win any RE on the minisite that is not retired! If there are two or more people within equal distance of the winning number, ties will be broken with additional rolls until there is a single winner.

The longer you wander around outside, the more likely it will be that you will come across the suspicious gnome merchant and his suspicious black trench coat.
If you're not afraid to approach him, he'll show you what's in that coat.
Surprise! It's minipets!
Each prom mini is three Petals, which can be earned from the fairy godmother. If you would like to purchase one, please fill out this form:
WHAT'RE YA BUYIN'? I want: (name of mini) Minisite username: Proof of Petal wins: (3 Petals for each mini.) You may purchase as many of each as you like. Each character may only spend the Petals they won for themselves and Petals may not be transferred between characters. Please make sure all the Petals you link were won by the same character.
Immediately to your right as you enter this area from the portal in the gym is a tall, generic photo booth with a short privacy curtain separating its interior from the outside world. Nothing seems to happen when you enter, but it is a photo booth, right? Maybe you should pose anyway.
If you'd like to enter for a chance to be rolled for a photo strip like this
pretend there is an example here it will be cute and it is free what could go wrong
post the form below, along with some RP of your characters having their pictures taken by a seemingly broken booth.
One winner will be rolled at the end of prom.

Please only enter twice per player!
