Quote:
You will make an introductory post and roll a 100-sided dice during your introductory post. This post is basically you walking onto the stage once more with your Pokemon in a Pokeball or next to you.

Then your opponent will do likewise, also rolling a 100-sided dice. Person with the highest roll goes first.

HP/Attack bonuses count if your Pokemon has them. Pokemon that cannot evolve any further have 1000 HP. Pokemon that can evolve one more time have 900 HP. Pokemon that can evolve two more times have 800 HP.

Now for every attack post, you roll one 6-sided dice which will let your opponent know how to react to your post. 1 = your attack misses, 2-5 = your attack hits for 100 damage, 6 = your attack hits for 200 damage. Even stuff that normally does not do damage - such as growl - will do a kind of unseen damage in that it will hurt your opponent's dignity or whatnot.

Super effective/resistance/immunity/whatever do not count. Although please don't say you punch a Ghost Pokemon in the face. That's just not elegant - try to make all attacks seem reasonable and keep beauty/grace/cuteness/etc in mind. Also try to humiliate your opponent if possible - you are making your own Pokemon look good and your opponent's Pokemon look bad!

At the end of every post, please include your Pokemon's HP.

After 5 posts from both sides (10 posts in total not including the intro posts), time will be called and the battle will end regardless of if a Pokemon has fainted or not. You will be scored on both how much damage you have done, your general performance throughout the battle (so RP your best!), and your creativity throughout the battle.

A response post from each side after the 10 damage posts in response to a KO or finished time is allowed to bring the battle to a culmination. Judges will post shortly after to let you know who won.

If you do not make a post within 24 hours (subjected to change) of your opponent's last post, you are automatically disqualified and your opponent wins the battle. We will then alert you of your next battle.

Arissa was delighted to see that she and Kumirou had scored highest out of everyone in the first battle round. She gave him a big hug, then sneezed when his fluffy feathers tickled her nose. "You did great! We're moving on to the final round!" she told him. Kumirou and Kishin both gave happy chirps, then the Archeops spent the rest of the wait time preening her son, smoothing his feathers so he'd look his best.

When they were called for the match, Arissa gestured for Kumirou to fly ahead of her. So he glided into the arena, his wide wings brushing the doorway as he passed through. He managed to keep himself aloft without flapping his wings until he reached the center of the battlefield, where small twitches of his wings halted his movement and left him hovering instead. Arissa entered behind him and stepped up to the trainer box, awaiting the start of the match.

At last, the time had come for the final match. This would determine the winner, and the normally calm, composed, and perfect Ai Bennett had to struggle to maintain her composure. Excitement and uncertainty was a knot in her stomach, twisting her thoughts as much as her organs. She could not afford a moment's doubt, however; it did not matter that they were entering this contest as underdogs, having scored lower than their opponent in the previous match. This time, however, would be different. This time, they would prove that even underdogs could come out on top.

The young woman walked onto the stage, her high heels clacking with each step. She held her head high and fixed a bright, winning smile on her face. Her face did not betray the storm of emotions within her. She was here to lay all of the chips on the table-- but would they be enough? No-- she mustn't doubt-- a moment's hesitation could cost her a fortune.

"Show them you're a star, Kumiko!" she shouted in the peppy voice she'd practiced in the mirror. She lightly tossed the mew's masterball into the air, and the legendary pokemon burst free.

While Kumiko took in the audience, Ai decided to start things off nice and simple. It would serve to calm her nerves, warm up the audience, and tame her young pokemon's excitement all at once. "Sunny Day!"

Kumiko began to glow brilliantly. He was showing off that he was a star; an ethereal aura flowed around his body, highlighting the whites of his fur and causing his markings to stand out. His eyes reflected an entire galaxy, providing him with an excessively cute and innocent appearance. The mew slowly drifted around the stage, waving to the audience and dropping tiny pieces of light like so many fireflies as he went.

Arissa actually recognized this Mew; she'd battled against him in a contest before, though with Kishin instead of Kumirou. He and his trainer were certain to be a seasoned competitor as well, but she was determined to beat them.

"Well, if he likes stars, let's show him a whole galaxy! Swift!" she called to Kumirou.

Kumirou chirped an acknowledgement, then began to glow, a pale golden light seeming to emanate from within him. He gently flapped his wings and began to slowly rise into the air. As he did, the light condensed on his feathers and flowed down their shafts until each feather was tipped with a bright golden point of light.

When Kumirou reached the exact center of the arena, the stopped rising and began to spin in place instead. The tiny stars flowed outward along his wings as if pushed by the centrifugal force of his rotation, though more soon appeared along his body. They hung there for a moment before continuing onward, floating in the empty air to either side of him.

They did not float straight outward however; immediately they began to curve backward even as they were pushed outward by the stars that continued to flow from Kumirou. The result was that soon the Altaria was at the center of a formation that resembled a spiral-arm galaxy, which soon took up the entire battlefield.
