[Alaska] Almost as soon as she'd disconnected Skype Aurora had set off to ready herself, an enthusiasm that she hadn't felt in ages overtaking her. In truth her father's funeral had been the last time she actually put much effort into her appearance. Washing her face, she rid herself of the makeup she'd put on earlier, starting from scratch. The hair she'd been neglecting with simplistic styles she set at with a comb and ties. Time melted away as she primped and preened, trying to put together something that fit the occassion.
It was only because her phone alarm went off that Aurora finally decided on what to wear, brushing the dust off her jewelry box to accessorize properly. She couldn't completely disguise the subtle hints of fatigue or slight weight loss, but in the end she actually looked nice. Fresh even.
It wasn't a long drive to the airport and Aurora arrived 15 minutes before his flight was scheduled to get in. Nervously she waited at the gate, her fingers sprinning the bangle on her wrist mindlessly. The tiny airport didn't have much traffic, Azzo wouldn't have to search very hard to find her among the dozen or so people .
Where was the plane? Where was Azzo? It seemed as if time was standing still. When the plane finally began to taxi towards the gate she began to hold her breath without noticing it. And then there he was, her breath coming out in a subconcious whining sigh. Excitement. Longing. Relief, relief most of all. It was like she had been in the desert for weeks and finally, miraculously, she'd found the most beautiful oasis.
To believe it had been over a year. The missed birthdays, holidays, and aniversaries. The simple time stolen away when Aurora had just been reminded just how short life truly could be. Sure they had talked on the phone... He'd sent her messages through his ring, each one precious and adored. But it wasn't the same as seeing him. It wasn't this.
"Azzo!" She called out happily, rushing towards him as soon as he was far enough away from the door, weaving past a stewardess and the roped line. Any hope she'd had of not crying had been dashed in mere seconds, and by the time she was close enough to touch him there were tears streaming down her cheeks, her voice cracking with emotion. "Azzo...."
She pressed herself against his chest, hoping to have weaseled her way into his embrace. Her hands rested against his chest, her fingers moving minutely as if to stoke the fabric beneath them, asking for proof that he was actually there. Her cheek leaned on his collarbone until his scent hit her. And at that moment her lips pressed firmly against his neck, going against her usual distaste of public displays of affection. The salt of his skin, the soft musk of his pheremones. She could smell him, taste him, feel him. He was there, he was finally there in front of her.

Azzo's plane ride had been one full of either boredom, awe, or nervousness wondering how Aurora's family would react to him. When he got off the plane though and walked a few steps he saw her running towards him. He was ready to be tackled but when that didn't come he stopped as she placed her lips on his neck. He could feel the red hot sensation of being slightly embarrassed though pushing that aside to smile at her and wrap his arms around her. "Ahh At least I've found my princess. It seems you've been locked away in the tower for far too long." He decided a little dramatics wouldn't be unwarranted.
He sighed and rested his head against hers for a second before whispering. "Maybe we should... wait till get somewhere a little more private? We might be blocking the runway." He gave a little nervous chuckle though he took in her perfume as he spoke. As he felt her fingers against his chest. It was so nice to be able to see here again, touch her. Though before he guided her off the runway even if she didn't let go he whispered. "You're never leaving my sight for that long again. If I can help it."
He felt guilty for not being able to come up and see her sooner, but he also didn't want to get in the way. And with his history with his own family being unpleasant there was only so much he could bare. To watch her dealing with her father would've surely drove him even more crazy.

When she finally relented to his embarassment it was simply by ending her strange kiss, seemingly still unwilling to leave his embrace just yet. "It seems like I've been locked up forever." She huffed dramatically. "But at least my prince has come to free me."
For the briefest of moments she looked disappointed, dashed even as he asked for some privacy. Wasn't he as happy to see her as she was him? But the moment didn't even last a full second, because she knew him and she knew what he meant by it. On most occassions she too would likely be asking the same of him.
Letting herself be guided she slowly shifted from in front of him to his side. Her arms wrapping quite possessively around his left arm, as if she was afraid he'd disappear the moment they lost direct contact. "I certainly hope we never have to go through anything like this again. No.. I won't let anything like this happen again."
"It's too hard... being without you...." She trailed off with a soft sigh, putting pause to a conversation far too emotional and sensitive for the moment at hand.
Something more fitting for an airport she insisted to herself silently. "Do we need to pick up any luggage before we head out?"

He gave a contented sigh, "At least my journey is over. Well, the finding part, the quest back home is one riddled with surprises." He smiled cryptically.
He nodded, "You were there for him which is the important part." Azzo said as he rested his arm around her shoulder. He paused, "It was more important that you tend to him. I should've come up before now to see if I could help. I might be a whimpy city boy now but I use to be able to do some chores on my grandfather's farm." He grinned looking at her as if he expected her brothers to challenge him.
"OH! Yes my luggage hold on~" He slipped away for a second and grabbed a garment bag and a suit case. "Okay!" He wrapped his arm around her shoulders again. "Now we can leave."
He paused, "I'm meeting the rest of your family right? Anything I need to know?"

Surprises huh? Aurora looked skeptical for a moment, before simply shaking her head. Who knew what he was talking about or had in mind. She almost had to stifle a laugh as her thoughts ran to Snowballs comments early about a dirty house. Surprise, a house to clean! Of course it wasn't that, but the idea amused her momentarily.
"I don't know.. bison are pretty big.." Aurora mused, picturing the idea of Azzo trying to handle one of the big bovines. Well.. it wasn't that much different then Niflhel taking on giant youma.
The airport was small, there wasn't a need for many terminals and gates with the minimal number of planes that landed in the airport each day. She didn't need to lead the way as the path was entirely straight forward, nonetheless there seemed to be a slight speed in her step.
"I'm not sure if Mato will come by.. But I'd certainly hope he does. Everyone else is still staying at the ranch, so it'd be hard to miss them. Wanting to make a good impression?" She teased. It wasn't like their disapproval would change her opinion on Azzo or anything. Even if she wanted to it wasn't possible to for her to tell them all the reasons she loved him.
As they went out the doors they were greeted with a comfortable coolness. Mid 60's, sunny, and the gentlest breeze. The sound of a jingle could be heard as Aurora dug a set of keys out of her pocket. "Tokala taught me to drive." Just wait until he saw the dainty young woman try and crawl up in the big old truck the keys belonged to.

Azzo just smiled as she seemed amused. "I bet they are. I'm sure it's nothing I can't handle." He flexed his arm as if he was showing off how 'strong' he was. Obviously that worked a lot better when he was powered.
He shook his head and sighed just happy to be with her. "Oh? Well yes, I mean if I don't know what they're expecting how can I live up to it? What if they think I'm not good enough for you?" He teased a little. After all he'd dealt with that back in the city. Others thinking Aurora was soo many grades above him in class.
"Never thought I'd be soo pleased to see cooler weather." He said as he stopped in the cooler breeze for a moment staring as Aurora dug out a set of keys. "Ohhh~ So the princess has been entrusted with a car? My, looks like we'll have to invest in one at home." He laughed, "Well... it'd be handy anyways for some of the errands if we don't feel like walking or a drive in movie." He'd leaned how to drive he just didn't really care about it because he hadn't needed it.
"Though I'm not sure what car insurance is like in the city." He waited for her to be ready to go. "It's so lovely up here. We'll have to take a vacation up here every so often so you can check up on your brothers." He seemed at ease.

"My knight." She crooned playfully to his show of strength and vigor. "Just be careful how much you volunteer yourself to everyone. I don't want to you tired from ranch handing that you can't help me pack and lug things."
Though they had been apart for such a length of time, it didn't mean she'd forgotten him or anything about him. Aurora knew quite clearly how strained his relationship with his father was. How trying and stressful family get togethers and situations had been in the past. "Well it doesn't really matter what they think, now does it? I've been told I'm fairly stubborn." A reassuring smile. Having never brought a boy home before she had no clue what reaction they'd give.
The mention of a car brought another laugh out of her and she motioned mildly to the large pickup as they finally neared it. "I rather liked walking around Destiny City. If anything I think I'd prefer a beautiful steed." Yes, a beautiful cream colored horse, she'd look quite stunning up there. Of course that was entirely ridiculous and impractical. "If you'd like a car eventually we can look into one. But regardless, it's a good life skill to have."
"Never know when you're going to have to cart someone to the hospital." It was a somber thought, but very true in their 'line of work'. And she seemed to realize immediately how dark and dreary it was, even if it was true. Quickly she changed the subject as she unlocked the doors.
"You can put your bags in the bed or in the front if you like. There is a little bit of room behind the seat." Grasping the railing alongside the door, she hoisted herself up into the big truck. It was quite obviously a work truck, dirty exterior and the scent of feed heavy on it. Aurora shot him an amused grin as for a moment she towered over him in height.

Niflhel laughed "Of course, I'll be tired when we get home." He said, "We can take an extra few days off from work." He said saying it as if their line of work was fairly natural. At least in the city it had become a rather sort of night job.
He paused, "I do as well, hm I'm sure I can arrange for you a horse. I believe I might can afford one." He teased, though in reality he probably could figure out how to actually get one for her. It'd be nice to go out to the country side where they could ride horses. He tapped his chin. "Yes, I do believe we should eventually invest in one in case of emergencies though or trips out of town."
He nodded when she said cart someone to the hospital. He pause when she climbed into the large truck and he started laughing. "Look at you." He tossed his bags into the back. "Eh the wrinkles'll work out." He said as he climbed in as well.
He seemed to think, "Aurora while where here, what do you think about watching the sunset one night? Maybe we could do a picnic and take a break from your family?" He smiled as he shut the door and buckled up.

"Horses are either a lot of work or a lot of money.." She laughed, shaking her head at his words. Surely her papa would have approved of such attempted pampering, but was it really very realistic? "Do you have the time to feed it and clean after it? Or the money to pay someone else to?" She mused thoughtfully. Not to mention the idea of riding a horse down the middle of Destiny City. Not very inconspicious.
"A picnic..?" For a moment the thought was jarring, so out of line with everything that had gone on lately. It'd been nothing but business.. bills... estates.. paperwork.. the crushing heaviness of adult life. "A late picnic sounds lovely..." She sighed wistfully.
Aurora seemed in no real hurry to go even once they'd gotten into the truck and shut the doors. In fact, while Azzo buckled up, Aurora instead scooted away from the drivers seat and more into the empty space beside him. A soft jingling sound a clue to the fact that the keys had been set on the driver seat behind her. Scooting until her shoulder touched his, she reached up with a hand to gently run her fingers through a few strands of his hair.
"I'm not ready to go back just yet..." A soft confession as she leaned to press her lips gently against his. This was private enough now, wasn't it?

Azzo laughed, "Yes but if you want one. I'm sure we could figure out how to work it. It'd be nice to take a break from the city life and have a reason to go out to the country away from the hustle and bustle."
He paused as it seemed to be a jarring thought for her. He smiled hopefully, when she agreed his smile just widened, "Great! Just the two of us. I'm sure you could use the break and show me some of the pretty sights?"
He paused as she scooted towards him. Wondering if the seat belt had been a bad idea. He chuckled a little goofily. "You're not?" He asked as she pressed her lips into his. He closed his eyes as he melted a little bit into the kiss. He pulled away just long enough to undo the seat belt and whisper, "You're such a sly foxy lady." He pulled her closer in his arms despite the heat rising in his cheeks. He hadn't ever really displayed so much affection to her where they could be caught but something about being apart for so long made actually kissing her feel like if he let go he'd lose her again.
When he returned the kiss it was longer than the first. When he freed her, "We can go home later, lets have some fun for tonight?" He smiled.

"Of course, I'll let you do a little sight seeing before we go. Isn't everyday you get to visit this far north."
It was most certainly the distance and time. What was that old saying about absence making the heart grow fonder?
For as long as they'd been together they'd always been a fairly chaste couple (well.. baring any past lives....). They held hands, cuddled a little here or there, a chaste peck of a kiss. Two seperate rooms, no roaming their shared home in buff. Their emotional bond far exceeded anything they'd shared so far physically, and that had been seemingly fine for both of them. They were both shy in their own ways and dutiful to their beliefs and/or upbringings. Some might have called them prudish, but it was what it was, and it worked for the two old spirits. And they hadn't needed that physicality to bond. There were so many conversations and shared experiences that'd filled their hearts and souls.
But the euphoria of being reunited was enough to spark a passion in Aurora that was unlike her usual demeanor. Returning his kiss without hesitation, her lips seeming to pout when his parted.
The old Aurora was not completely forgotten however, her nose crinkling and a soft flush touching her cheeks as he spoke so boldly.
But it didn't matter. Just as she'd been when she'd first seen him in the airport Aurora was getting overwhelmed with desire. To touch him and make sure he was real. To smell the soft scent of his musk and pheremones, a smell she'd come to miss even though she'd barely noticed it prior to her leaving. And to feel the safe warmth of his arms wrapped around her.
Sighing contentedly, she leaned until she was almost in his lap, her arms wrapping around his neck, and lips pressing against his again. Maybe if she closed her eyes this moment would last forever and ever. No deaths... no responabilities.. no Negaverse. Nothing but her and him forever in this embrace. ((FADE TO BLACKKKKK... No JK. This is still 1000% PG. Present Azzo and Aurora are 1000% PG until marriageeee <3))

He smiled as she said she'd let him do some sightseeing before they left. "It really isn't. It's almost a shame we have to go back to the city. It's so pretty here." He added.
It felt like it'd been so long since they'd seen each other. The uncertainty would he ever see her again? Things like this often caused him nightmares, plagued his dreams.
He sighed letting her press her lips against his own as she scooted almost into his lap, finally he shifted a little and softly tugged her all the way into his lap. So he could wrap his arms around her in a more relaxed embrace. He wished this could last forever, nothing to worry about for the moment but each other. The serenity here, no danger, no monsters, no worries or nightmares, only pure bliss of being together with Aurora.
If only fleeting moments could last like such. To him she was a precious gift from the cosmos. His to protect no matter where they were or how far apart. He sighed contently for all he cared they could stay here forever.

Time slipped away as the two kissed and made out, necking like a pair of twitterpated teenagers, only to be interrupted eventually by the jarring sound of her cellphone blaring. Aurora's body jolted, an embarrassed giggle escaping her as she slid off his lap, reaching for her phone. Even with her caramel colored skin a soft flush of red could be detected on her cheeks.
"Hello..?"
"No, no, I'm fine. It just took us awhile to hunt out his luggage. They sent it to the wrong carousel. We're on our way." She assured the person on the other end of the phone, lightly brushing at her bangs and hair in an attempt to make sure she hadn't messed them up to badly.
"I haven't gotten in an accident yet." She huffed slightly. "I'll be back soon."
Ending the call with a slight tap of her finger, her eyes rose shyly back up to his, suddenly seeming to realize what they'd been doing. It was a strange feeling. To be happy and even excited. Not to mention being so openly passionate and affectionate. It felt like her heart was beating so fast it was going to burst. "We umm..."
Digging in her purse she pulled out a few tissues, handing them his way before she slid back into the drivers seat. "You... have a little lipstick.. well pretty much everywhere." Poor Azzo. Having his face and neck polka dotted with soft pink lipstick was probably not his idea of a good first impression.
The truck motor hummed to life, but Aurora paused once more before actually putting it into drive. "I love you." Surely he knew. But somehow she hadn't said it yet and she felt the need to remedy that.

Azzo jumped when her cellphone went off. His eyes narrowing at the offending object. Though he gave a slight chuckle, rubbing the back of his neck. He let her speak without saying anything as he looked at how much lipstick he'd actually ended up with.
When she looked back at him he gave a sheepish grin, "I know." He said taking the tissues from her pausing to give her one last kiss on the cheek this time. Working to clean the offending lipstick off his face and neck.
Which was a slightly more difficult task, though he pulled out a small bottle of hand sanitizer he'd grabbed just for the plane ride and started using that on the more difficult spots. "I love you too." He replied.
He stopped and looked at her, "I missed you."
There was a few moments of silence before he broke it, "Which brother was that?" He was checking for spots he'd missed while cleaning off the lipstick, before tugging out a small bottle of cologne to hide some of the hand sanitizer smell, at least until he could get to a place where he could properly wash it off.

She gave him an empathetic little frown as she watched him struggle with the lipstick. Teasing with one last moment of boldness. "If this is going to become a regular thing I should probably switch to lipstain."
Any embarrassment she felt faded though when he returned her sentiment and she simply beamed back at him in contented agreement.
"It was Tokala." The truck was finally put into drive and they began to the trip back towards the ranch. "I don't usually go joyriding or anything. Just to the store and back or whatever. So he wasn't sure what was taking so long." And she was happy enough to keep it that way, having no desire to share the real reason for her tardiness.
It would be almost a half hour drive, especially considering Aurora's very precise adherence to the speed limit and any signs. It was the perfect time to try and catch up a little. Especially any of those topics that were of the secret and magical variety. She recalled the weird bit she'd heard Snowball mumble, nightmares or something, but decided not to start with that topic. Instead she fished a little more vaguely. "So what's been going on in Destiny City?"
There was a soft guilt clear in her voice. Had everything gone to hell in a hand basket since she'd left? How much damage had been done because of her self decision to leave? "I know you'd probably rather not tell me.. But please don't sugar coat it Azzo, we don't have a lot of time alone and we've got all weekend for every other conversation."
