Previous RP: Rebirth 1

This is part two of a two part role play that is backdated to June 12th which is 13 days ago (I'm PST); the day BEFORE her birthday. Considering it is fairly well known I favor g-docs as indicated in the title, the rest will not be posted until the RP is completed. As of now it is sitting at just shy of 4 pages and I am unclear how much longer it will be.

Thank you.

With the lights still off in the back room of her fencing classroom Sonia stood beside a shelving unit while cast in shadow. Unblinking sunset colored eyes bore holes into the overdressed young man and the cat beside him. Finally breaking the silence she cleared her throat and stood up to her full height, a measly 5’7” but at least she seemed to be taller than the, what she assumed to be, young man across the isle from her.

“I’m not entirely sure I should thank you for sending the monster away or blame you for it being here in the first place.” As far as she was concerned he could have been the one to send it in here to attack first her classmate then her teacher.

Benitoite regarded the girl with a steady gaze and nothing more than a nod of acknowledgement. The crystal was then brought to his lips and he spoke once more. “This is General Benitoite, I would like to request the presence of General Queen Luralite. I am with Katya and we have found an unawakened senshi and need your assistance.”

He didn’t want to bring this girl into the war, but he also could not and would not deny Katya another corrupt. To show hesitation would only bring problems he did not wish to deal with considering he was so bad at lying. The last thing he wanted was to be figured out and so he would do as his ranking demanded and pull her into the war whether she liked it or not. Benitoite just hoped whatever she chose to do once awakened, neither of them wound up in trouble and that she proved useful, even to a small degree.

Taking the initiative to approach the young woman, Katya took several steps forward to close what little distance remained between them in an attempt to get the girl to lower her guard. “Don’t worry, we’ll make sure you are safe.” She would not permit any harm to come to one of her own senshi and Benitoite was the one who would enforce such a thing if, and when, she could not do so herself. “I am Katya, and you will be a senshi.” She didn’t say corrupted, because to some that term sounded very bad and she didn’t wish to scare her.

“I’m dreaming…”That’s the only explanation there is. Or maybe I hit my head when I fell into the shelf.

“You did not just speak…” Did he..? she… it… noo.

Sonia’s eyebrows knitted in both confusion and disbelief. First a whiptail scorpion pulled straight from the Harry Potter movie with Mad Eye Moody teaching the class about the deadly curses and now this? “I don’t know what kind of game you’re playing but I suggest you leave. Now!” Despite how assertive she tried to sound, the threat sounded a few drops shy of empty.

While continuing to maintain eye contact, the brunet lowered herself down to one knee and shook Senior Galeano’s leg in another attempt to rouse him awake.

Oh my, the girl seemed to be in a bit of shock. Is it really so odd to see a talking cat? She supposed it was but honestly there was no need to think yourself dreaming. After a moment of watching the girl she sat herself beside her and stared up at Sonia with green eyes imploringly. It was if she were silently asking the brunet to look down, and give her some sort of attention. “You’re not dreaming, and I can talk quite well I assure you.” Came the calmly spoken words before a paw was lifted and placed upon the girls leg, right above the knee. “There are no tricks here to be found, only power and knowledge.”

Locating the General was not a particularly difficult task; teleporting there was an easier task. There was a sparkle of interest in her eyes as she looked between the three. An unawakened Senshi, found before either the Dark Mirror Senshi or the White Moon?

Oh, luck, what a pleasant thing you were.

One second, she was not there, and then the next--she was. She did nothing to hide her energy signature, and while the civilian might not have felt it, she enjoyed flaunting it to the others.

"Evening," she greeted, in her sugary sweet voice. She laced her fingers before her and rocked on her heels. While the action made her seem innocent enough, it served a much better purpose to stretch after her long hours at the desk.

She clanged between the three, taking in their appearances quickly.

"You continue to impress me, Benitoite. And Katya, what a good job you are doing. It was right to call me. Dear, are you all right?" she asked, looking to the girl she didn't recognize. The girl she would soon see took an integral part in making the world a better place. Under Metallia's rule, of course, but the details, the details...

Sonia took on a defensive stance and raised the tip of her sword towards the trio. First a monster that disappears into thin air then a cat starts speaking and now a woman just appearing out of nowhere playing niceties like nothing was out of the ordinary. “Heh you’re kidding me right? Who the hell are you? And why are you here?”

Perhaps pointing a weapon at a General Queen wasn’t the wisest of ideas but how was she to know neither of them were to be tested? All that concerned the brunet at this point in time was holding a position between the unwanted visitors and her unconscious teacher behind her.

While the civilian didn’t feel the aura, immense as it was, the ashen blond certainly felt it though but he didn’t give pause as some might. The aura of chaos wasn’t an angry thing and it was even a bit comforting as odd as it might sound to some. He found chaos to be a comfort, it was why he enjoyed the long walks through the Rift. With the General Queen’s entrance his gaze shifted to her and that rocking motion of hers.

Bowing his head, he wouldn’t get down on his knees to her, he smiled at the mint haired woman. “I’m glad I can impress you General Queen. I hope I can continue to do so.” His words were honest, he didn’t wish to displease the woman despite how nice she seemed. laurelite might be nice now but Benitoite knew that to anger her would mean certain death, he just didn’t know how that death would play out and he didn’t care to find out.

His attention turned then to the girl with the sunset colored eyes and he tilted his head a bit to the right side, taking note of her pointed sword. “I am General Benitoite and the woman before you, whom you are pointing your sword at, is General Queen Laurelite.” Katya had already introduced herself so there was no point in him doing so again. “We are here because of you, and I would advise you to put the sword down.” He doubted the General Queen would take action against the girl, but it was still a very unwise thing to do.

Hearing the praises of the General Queen had the russian blue preening and puffing up happily. Her green eyes shifting from the girl with her sword to the General Queen and then Katya was moving to nose the girl gently. “You shouldn’t point that at her, it’s really not a wise thing to do.” She spoke softly, it wouldn’t do for her to order the other about - not right now. “It’s a good thing we found you when we did. The youma that was after you would have likely left you unconscious.” And drained of her energy, she would mention energy draining later as she didn’t wish to overwhelm the girl with too much information; that would come later.

Laurelite did not seem intimidated by the sword in the slightest; she barely batted an eye at the utensil.

"I'm not sure what you hope to accomplish by waving that thing around, dear. As you can see, I've already expressed my interest in your well being and displayed my concern for your health. It's just plain rude, this."

Without fear, the General Queen reached out and planted her finger along the side of the sword, lightly pushing it downwards and away from her as she took a step towards the girl.

Her eyes never left the civilian's face.

"I am General Queen Laurelite," she said. "And I am here to bestow upon you what you could imagine only in your wildest dreams. Certainly you must feel it?" she began slowly, fingers slowly sliding atop the flat side of the sword.

"Lived your whole life, wondering what the meaning of it was? Wondering why you were here, Wondering what you could be. Who you could be. Feeling like you could be more than just some girl, in a big city, in a big world. Are you aware of the power you hold inside you, dear? Have you felt it?"

She was quiet for a second longer, taking in the girl's face.

"Do you want to?"

Sonia eyed the sea-foam haired woman warily before lowering her guard, and sword, completely. Something this Lauralite had said struck a familiar chord in Sonia causing her to pause in contemplation. Were those not the very thoughts she had been having at her fencing competitions?

“What’s the catch?” It was an honest question and not one spoken with any sort of attitude. Offers like this were never free, a debt will be owed no doubt, Sonia just wanted to know what that would entail before accepting the ‘benevolent’ offer.

Daring to speak, to do so for the General Queen, the General spoke up from where he stood. “You would work with us.” Not for us, no that would sound less appealing. “Against the terrorists who see fit to attack our city and the innocents who live here.” He knew both sides did their fair share of damage, his side perhaps more than the other, but he didn’t say this as he focused just on the other side and their negatives.

“You would serve our cause - the removal of the terrorists who would otherwise seek our destruction and whatever else.” Whatever else indeed...It was best he not think on such things, on his own thoughts and opinions here, and focus on convincing her and making sure he used what words he thought would work best, such as using the more dramatic destruction rather than something weaker...less dramatic. “General Queen Luralite can give you this power...power equal to some of them. You’ll need to train and work with it, as we all must, but to have such a sport as you do.” Here he nodded to her sword. “You must already have a healthy level of dedication to training and dedication in general.” He spoke, seeking to praise her, as he looked down to Katya who was again nosing at the girl.

Indeed, she was nosing at the girl, having jumped up on the storage rack beside her, Katya nudged Sonia’s right arm with her nose. As a reward, whether she was aware of her actions or not, Sonia lifted the grey feline into her arms. The Russian Blue settled comfortably in the young woman's careful embrace, being sure to avoid her chest as she didn’t wish to be in the way of the General Queen. “You will make a lovely senshi, powerful and filled with magic.” She spoke purring her words while rubbing her head to the girl's stomach.

Patiently, Laurelite let the other speak, content to let them all give their own insight to the situation. Ultimately, regardless of whatever this girl answered, she would have another senshi tonight.

But it was always easiest when they came willingly.

Laurelite did not have to worry so much about if they would sabotage the Negaverse, or defect. This bond of trust was essential, and though there were a thousand things she could have been doing that night, instead she stood there, unwillingly to corrupt this girl with an ounce of force if she would agree.

"Certainly there must be someone you hold dear?" she offered. "…Someone whose life you treasure. This is more than just protecting you. This is protecting them. And everyone. In exchange for your services, you'll find a watchful eye looking after all those you hold dear, and in return you keep your eyes on others. We'll fight together, for a better world."

She smiled. "You seem like someone who would stand only for justice and righteousness. Let me give you the power to do so."
