I follow T1 rules and I almost always do combat (UM-MP specifically), but am capable of casual RP as well, and have been in handful of casual ones. I prefer sci-fi/futuristic settings, but am able to adapt to modern settings as well. 3nodding

No problem, and welcome to the Estate. ^^ I must admit, I don't know of many people who like futuristic RPs unless it has to do with anime. o.O Can't say I understand why that's something not as many seem interested in, the possibilities are infinite. I like most types of RPs, unless..ahem...it has to do with Twilight, which I loathe. But each to their own.
