STATS

Stats are the core building blocks of a character. XP can be applied to your RPCs stats to better prepare them for fights and in-game life in general. Stats fall into eight categories. One XP point is = to 5 stat points. Depending on the race you choose and role you live in-game, certain stats may be more important to build than others. See your race's summary to know what stats you will start off with.

When attacking, it is the main stat you are using against your opponent (say if your using a bow, it would be ranged. For weapon attacks, its strength, and for mana its the mana cost) against defense. The difference is the amount of health that is subtracted. If the defense is higher then the attack, then the health deducted is only 2 points.

⊲ Health: Health (HP) is an RPC's resistance to damage being dealt to them. Health will regenerate completely after four posts of not being attacked by foe. If your health reaches zero, your character dies and spawns in his/her hometown.
⊲ Defense: Defense is similar to health but a bit different. Defense is the stat compared to strength when determining how much an attack will harm you.
⊲ Strength: Strength measures a character’s attack. The basic stat needed for anyone to fight, physically or magically.
⊲ Stamina: Stamina determines what you can endure and what you can dish out and for how long. Most physical techniques will require you to deduct points from your stamina, which means the more you build this the longer you can engage in physical fight.
⊲ Mana: Mana (MP) is the unit magic is measured in. Without it, the player is incapable of casting any sort of spell.
⊲ Dexterity: Dexterity determines how well balanced they are or whether they can perform physical acts with ease. It engages agility and flexibility, and allows you to dodge attacks as long as your dexterity is higher than your foes accuracy.
⊲ Accuracy: Accuracy is used for ranged attacks. Without this it will be hard for your attack to hit your opponent, and the higher you build this stats the more successful you will be in taking ranged shots without being discovered.
⊲ Speed: Speed refers to an RPCs reaction speed. It determines how fast or slow you can attack a foe in battle, or whether you are quick enough to make your escape.

DEBUFF EFFECT

This system was created to make it more realistic and obviously add more of the RPG design that we all know and love. To put it simple, if you attack someone who has a debuff with the appropriate counter, you now do 1/4th extra damage. I know I probably worded that poorly, so let me give you an example below.

Let's say you have a sword that does 50 damage, but it also has a fire aspect that gave it +20 fire damage. Now let's say with this sword you hit something that is weak to fire. With the Debuff Effect system above, we know in this instance that the bonus damage is 1/4th of the weakness. Following still?

So in total, the object hit would take 50 damage from the sword, plus the 20 fire damage, for a total of 70 damage, but since it is weak to fire, it takes 1/4th of that weakness damage (5 fire damage, 5 being 1/4th of the original 20 fire damage), which brings the new damage to 75 total damage.

SPELL SPEED

This is to give you a more generalized idea of how to gauge if you can avoid a ranged spell attack or not, or rather how well you could potentially avoid them or even outrun them. The new rate at which a Ranged Magical Attack moves is equal to the casters Speed stat. So if someone had 300 Speed in their spell stat, their Ranged Magic Attack now moves at 300 Speed also.
