Because Gaia hasn't given me enough information to have a panel about just Aiden.

Hello there...WHO THE %@@% ARE YOU?! ...I kid! No..really it's just a joke, you'll understand soon enough. Come in, come in, it's time to discuss one of my absolute favorite things on Gaia. And hey..if you stick around long enough there will be some contests to win some prizes. Fun!

WHAT THE *%(@% IS NEON CORE?
Glad you asked! Neon Core is a chance item that was released in 2010. The story followed Flynn on her travels through space on a quest for booty. ...No not -that- kind of booty. Treasure! She is a space pirate after all!

Neon Core itself is the name of Flynn's ship. When playing Neon Core you would be randomly set on a sector (Alpha, Beta, or Gamma) and within that sector there's a number of NPCs you'd encounter. We'll cover them and the rare encounters in a bit. Once set on a sector, you would have to survive through two encounters to claim victory. Amazingly enough it was possible to critical fail before even encountering a planet....Flynn must not have been a good pilot that day eh?

Alpha Sector was the most common of the encounters, and it handed out the least expensive prizes.


While not an NPC persay, one of the things you could encounter was a blob of red gelatin floating through space. Closer inspection of it proved that while it wasn't very valuable in the gold sense, the blob of gelatin was a quick way to get incredibly drunk. Who wouldn't want to encounter a space jello shot?


This winged little being pops up now and again on Gaia. Encountering him in the CI was brushed off as after effects of passing through the delicious alcoholic blob of gelatin. He -really- wanted to talk to your character...however you just simply wanted to take a nap! Puli shows up in the item Holy $#17, as a plush held by Murasaki of Mecha Neko, and on the shirt worn by the Game Attendant in Cirque Du Gothique.



I'm not so sure you'd want to hang around Blender... The way he's eying you and referring to your 'squishy meat suit" is a little off-putting. But hey, maybe he's a fun guy (er...robot) to hang around once you get to know him? Or perhaps you're going to get dragged into all sorts of zany adventures likely involving illegal things. Blender and his shiny metal food processor are based on Bender from Futurama.


Incoming program! Ram here was just looking for some reinforcements when you happened across the area. Unfortunately you don't seem to have the same gear as him... Well I can fix that! Want to gear up like Ram? The Neon Simulator item has you covered! Ram is a reference to TRON, so I'm sure you can find a few items to accent your gear...

The gas planet and the asteroid belt surrounding it are so dangerous to approach it is essentially a suicide mission. Which, of course, means Flynn heads right on in to look for treasure.


Kink here is the king of Nars! Gaia previously had a run in with him via the evolving item Nartian Rock, which Kink seems to remember your character from. He'll invite you to stay on Nars and find out just what a cool planet it is.


Think you can escape his gravity? These days you'll recognize Cygnus as one of the owners of La Victoire, but during Neon Core days he resided in a heavenly body intent on dragging you in. Escape the gravitational field, but don't leave the treasure behind!


Deep in the oceans of this watery planet lies it's guardian Naida. Though many sunken treasures await you here, you'll have to get past her to get a chance at finding them.


You can feel its guttural scream resonate through your bones.
Grab the booty (not the -drone's- booty) and get out of there quickly. The terrifying drones are based on Hydralisks from Starcraft.
