>>>----Basics---<<< Tweak for Sol

Source/Old RP
Where
This world has a bunch of countries, but this arc will only focus on one country, which contains "Floating City" and "World Below." At this time, there is a tension between different countries, and war is impending. However, this section focuses only on this country, and it will only be a portion of the country. Let's assume Floating City, and World Below which is near Floating City. The rest of the country is separated by mountains.

The people on the "World Below" know nothing about the much more technologically advanced. "Floating City." The majority of people just live their lives normally. They do not have access to humanoid or advanced robots, and they are generally equivalent to present day Earth normal life except no humanoid/smart AIs exist. They also do not have technology such as space shuttles and rockets to get them high enough... otherwise they'd already be able to get to the Floating City...

The people are the "Floating City" usually can't think of living in the "World Below." The people here have the highest level of technology. It is another world to them. Some think it's for those in poverty. Whatever the case, no one in the "Floating City" ever goes to the "World Below." Any Cyborgs that exist are from the people of the "Floating City." The Floating City often blocks the sun from some of the World Below.

Who
All human or robot. Cyborgs are rare, and in the case they exist, they had a lot of money to fund their change into cyborgs. If there are any Cyborgs, they are from Floating City. Robots should be from Floating City. There are a few people with "powers", but they are rare and blamed on infinity and attunement to technology. They are considered dangerous because they are considered similar to rogue robots with AI. They are practically a myth and are so rare, one might not even list for someone's life time.

Abilities
No magic exists ...except maybe for those really really really really rare people with abilities. Cyborgs can be stronger in strength than humans. Robots are stronger than humans and cyborgs.

Weapons
Guns. Sabers. Bombs, Knives, swords, jammers, etc. No nuclear or "weapons of mass destruction" unless needed fro a plot line. Floating city has robots; Some robots are used as weapons, and there are things such as Magitek armor from Final Fantasy, which are human driven machines...similar to tanks except on two feet. Floating City also has light sabers and force fields.

>>>---Potential Endings?---<<<

- Floating City falls.
- Technology starts streaming to World Below.
- Technology and everything completely crashes, and everyone ends up in a simple life without electronics.

FLOATING CITY

The city is the only structure of a metropolis in the air. The other structures in the sky are these, but they are not near the city.

There are six zones within the city. The center of city (Sector 001) is its own zone and contains the offices of the top authorities. There is also a famous undercity plaza. Almost everything in the Floating City is synthetic/artificial. There isn't that much green going on here. There's more green on the World Below. However, the trash is processed or dumped down into the World Below. The security levels in the sectors vary. The lab sector, Sector 003, run by the authorities has higher security. While many people work there, they usually live in another sector. Dr. Parr is one such example. The other sectors are a mix of residential and business.

See here for more reference pictures

The technology in Floating City includes hovercrafts, flying versions of cars in addition to the usual technology available on present day Earth. However, these hovercrafts cannot fly as high as airplanes. There are designated routes marked by holographics images for the hovercrafts.

Floating City is a technologically advanced city that lacked the green of the natural world. You can barely see the sun behind all the metal towers and levels of the city. Floating City has different zones, and in each zone, there were multiple floors. Obviously, the richer people, the people who could afford to have the views lived toward the top while the people who lived in the lower levels could barely see the sky from all the roads and buildings above them. It was also common for the rich to have better spaces and condos to the side and edge of the city so they could get better views too of the outside world.

There was typically a dome or shield around the City at all times. Obviously, there were physical barriers besides the shield at the sides of the city to prevent people from walking straight off.

The only ways from World Below to Floating City is..by flight or by use of the secret Sky elevator which is directly below Floating City and links to Floating City from World Below. This is invisible.

----
Current Situation

The Authorities and the Resistance are battling over the right to have robots for all. The Authorities want to keep it for the rich, but the Resistance wants it for all. The tide currently has shifted slightly. Now, some of the Resistance wants robots to be free on their own terms instead of humans. Meanwhile, the special AI has not yet been found. The Authorities want the Resistance shut down permanently and are also searching for the "weapon of mass destruction" robot that Dr. Parr built for them.
----

People/Items of Interest

Floating City Resistance : The Resistance is a movement in the city against the authorities trying to allow the robots to be used for everyone and not just the richest. Because the authorities want the technology for themselves, they don’t like the Resistance. In addition, some in the Resistance feel that robots have a right to “live” or “be different.” These people know next to nothing about the World Below

Floating City Authorities : These people run the city and keep robots out of the reach of those they don't feel deserve them. Ironically, much of the authority's enforcement is done by robots (these robots obviously don't have AI). The leaders know of the World Below, but think of the World Below as a lower level than even the poorest on Floating City. No one else knows much about the World Below.

Robotics Anonymous : This small factor may come into play LATER. These are made up of robots of any side. Somehow, even though these robots don't have AI, these robots eventually decide they are being treated as slaves and want to be free. These are part of robots sent to track down and kill Resistance and people complaining such as the poor and whoever else.

Dr. Armand Orion Parr is currently a 30 year old head scientist of AI and Robot Development for the Authories, although he is under house arrest. Armand is arguably the father of AI. He is under house arrest because a robot he was commissioned to design for the government, which was supposed to be a weapon of mass destruction, has gone missing. Armand gave the robot a fully conscious AI, capable of deciding and learning what should be done which is something that has never existed because it is too difficult to make work, and clearly, humans want some kind of control over the robots.
----
File No. 1087
Robot Prototype: ZD. Battle type.
ID Number: 01X (secretly named L3TO...has an Amaya type personality)
Specification: Weapon of Mass Destruction and secretly has a fully functional advanced AI. Armand secretly shoved a certain stone as power source into the robot.

---

File Name: Robots
Contents: There are many types of robots. They may be classified based on function such as soldier, repair, construction, support, musician, etc. Some may be attuned to deal with certain elements. For example, a fire robot will be attuned to dealing with very high temperatures and may be used to rescue people from fires or weld tools.

Most robots do not have AI. However Dr. Parr has experimented with AI. As a result, there are now a few with AI from Dr. Parr's research...or research people stole from him. The robots with AI are all humanoid types.

Robots are usually referred to by their serial number of just shortened version of it if it's too complicated. They don't really have human names, but sometimes people do randomly think of one for them because the serial number is too hard to remember.
---

File Name: Elemental Stone
Contents: The Elemental Stone is similar to the Philosopher's Stone. This stone is a myth and is supposed to be an endless supply of energy and power. People are obviously constantly looking for this. There are rumors that it is in Floating City. At some point, rumors are going to fly that it is with the secret Amaya bot.

WORLD BELOW

The technology of the world below is about present day Earth without any smart AIs or complicated robots. The people are crowded in density in the big metropolises and few are scattered in the rural regions. Technology in the rural areas is not as advanced, and a few have even gone back to the days of the old refusing to use technology. Nevertheless, there is a LOT more green and nature in the area.

Landria

User Image

There is a sprawling scattered city close to the area Floating City. This city is called Landria. Think New York City and London with a full subway system except laid out in a more organized manner. One side of Landria is off the edge of an ocean.

The invisible sky elevator to Floating City is in a clocktower located in the outskirts of Landria.

Rushing Water Village: True to its name, this village rural village is by a river. This area will take at least two days travel to get to Landria. The place is where the guy fell off the Floating City and landed. Bradley lives here. Most people live with the bare minimum technology here, although there are telephone lines. The most important part of this town is agriculture.

Current Situation

Scientists have been disappearing from the World Below, although not many people have noticed. Life has pretty much been normal. One day, some guy from the Floating City fell from the mysterious city and survived the fall. He was found by a girl and educated on the simpler/different ways of the World Below. He has long since adjusted, but is trying to find out how to get back to Floating City. Unintentionally, he is exposing the Floating City technology to the World Below.

Bradley
Writes stuff that happens in his imagination. Unfortunately, those things tend to happen in real life half the time.

The boy who was once Bradley "died" a long time ago, but was built into a cyborg to save his life. He lost his memory, and simply remembers he is from the World Below...even though he was originally from Floating City. He is currently living a second life, and the picture below shows his current appearance since he has aged, and the one who made him into a cyborg was able to account for age changes. Brad does not know he is a cyborg. The scientist who fabricated him was very good at creating synthetics and making him appear and feel human. Basically, if he cuts himself, he will bleed synthetic blood.

Brad
Brad Cyborg

Bio in World Below: Brad has lived mostly without much technology, but apparently people say he has imaginative moments, which he writes into his stories. Unknown to him, these imaginative moments come from his past experiences in Floating City. Additionally, some of what he writes is actually true to what will happen regarding the robot human Floating City conflict. Brad was raised by an old lady who passed away about a year ago, and he still maintains her cottage and property in the village. The village folk think he has a distant look in his eyes as if he 's always looking farther away toward the city. So, they've been trying to encourage him to go to Landria and explore for more opportunities.

Personality: Brad is a dreamer who writes about stuff in his imagination, which he doesn't realize is the world of his forgotten memories. He is prone to talking/brainstorming aloud about his ideas as he writes. He is mellow and self sufficient and generally doesn't mind helping with the chores around the village since people seem to pity him. He is a loner who enjoys writing. When he returns to Floating City, he will feel much more tense/anxious, but not know why.

Abilities: As a Cyborg, Brad is immediately stronger than most, if not all humans. However, as he is not completely a robot and still has organic matter, he still needs to exercise, which he does when he helps out with farm work. His vision is slightly enhanced too, but not by much. Brad used to be nearsighted, but no anymore as a cyborg. He is heavier than he use to be as well due to the material used to make him.

Bio before Cyborg Life: Brad is the son of someone relatively high up in the Authorities, but his father disagreed witht he Authorities on an issue.. Their family was wiped out in an assassination framed as an attack by the rebellion. Dr. Parr, a close friend of the father was able to save Brad, but sent him down to the World Below to live a new life and mature sincestaying would only mean danger.
