Her mate was back at the teepee, which was rare as he did so enjoy his adventures and wanderings of the woods, as were other members of her family including a grandson of hers. Her family was certainly large, and getting larger every time she thought about it - or so it seemed. She had grandchild and great grandchildren and did it go a generation beyond that? Shaking her head she felt a smile forming as her wings fluttered at her back.
The wintery fluttercorn was enjoy the cool evening air, and all the stars out, as she moved out into a clearly. It was a nice night, one to be enjoyed and savored really. Her tail swayed lazily behind her, flickering back and forth, as she continued on her way, her eyes settled up on the stars laid out above them blanketing the night sky. Oh how she missed winter, and spring with it's rains. Summer was much to warm and bright for her, something her mate agreed with. A soft sigh passed her lips, winter was a long way off it seemed - too long.

Nighttime. Such an amazing glorious feeling to walk under the stars as the grass slowly brushed across your thick fetlocks and solid hooves. The silence is broken suddenly as a little song carried out from a small wolf with a song of wonder and intrigue. How long had it been since she'd stepped out away from Tirranna's watch to simply enjoy the scents and smells of freedom. Never would she wish to depart from her current life but the song of freedom was never out of reach should their paths ever come to cease for an unknown meaning. The mare covered in the serenity of winter smiled softly in an earnest way to herself. She'd never break her bond with Tirranna if it meant her own life. Her aged eyes, heart, and soul would stand by her kawani friend till they each passed on.
Deep in thought she moved serenely catching something in her gaze. Her companion growled softly then turned her head to look at the mare she had bonded with. A subtle whimper with a nose twitch made the elder icy mare chuckle to herself. She then moved toward the shining interest and nodded, "Hello friend. What brings you out on this sultry evening?" she nickered feeling a bead of sweat on her coat. These summer months were unbearable at times but over the years she she learned to cope and work around such unpleasant things.

The heat of summer was something which she disliked, something which should not be at this late an hour. Under the blanket of night it should not be so warm, so unpleasant, as it was the only thing which took away from the evening she as enjoying. Didier was off somewhere, he had followed her out this way, likely in some bushes looking for food. He didn't follow her so closely as to be at her back hooves, or her front hooves, but he tended to drift a bit in order to see what else was around them.
So she was alone when she was approached by another and their companion. She was surprised by the other mare's appearance, an elder, and one who looked as blessed by winter as she herself did. "A lovely evening such as this should not be ignored. I'm out here to enjoy it, as it should be." Though the heat made it difficult to be honest.
