Painted Moose Hope you don't mind I started this! heart 23 - 9 KUHESH WINS Kuhesh had won his first bout to his own shock. It wasn't that he doubted his strength or skill—he had been trained to fight as a youth, and they had spent some time in the rogue lands—but he'd been sure his luck would fail him. That the spirits would finally turn on him and show their ire, proving all his fears right.
But he'd won! He'd almost not even believed it. Amu of course had been full of praise (and the words 'I told you so') and encouragement. It'd felt like he'd been living in a dream since then.
He was still a bit boggled, coming now to his second match, but the flicker of confidence had started to grow, manifesting as an almost-eagerness to test himself again. This time it was against one of the lions that had only just joined the pride, it seemed. He tipped his head in a greeting, trying to be both focused and friendly. He...was not good at friendly. Just focused would have to do then. With no time to waste, he began the fight by circling, gauging his opponent...and a swift swipe aimed at one of the brown male's flanks.

ShinosBee Don't mind a bit. <3 Thanks for setting it up! That banner is awesome. Salazar was the c**k of the walk as he made his way into his first bout. The massive male was basically strutting with his head held high and cold eyes as crisp as lightning on sand. There was no way he could lose; it just wasn't possible. Against these little peace lovers? Pfft. Yeah right.
Sure, he had joined for a calmer life with his mate, but a fire had ignited inside the former Pirate once the Sky Ceremony had been announced. It only burned brighter when it was decided that if he made further than his mate they would have cubs in the future. Granted, if she went further than him it wouldn't happen, but Salazar figured with him warming the den beside her...he was bound to 'win' sooner or later.
Salazar smiled and tipped his head in turn. He was nothing if not good natured; just a little over eager for a fight. Hard eyes watched as the green male scoped him out, and when he moved in to strike Salazar took the blow on the hope of striking one of his own thanks to the close proximity.
Naturally, the cocky male hit nothing but air.
