A bleak, post-apocalyptic city environment is the battleground for our combatants today. Take advantage of the tall skyscrapers for cover, or rely on the stability of the ground and launch an assault on your risk-taking foes.

Kumori had been walking for a long while from where he was at from the Red Lights District to an abandoned part of town. The existence here was very bleak at best, but it suited Kumori to a smile while he looked around. Unfortunately, he could feel the presence of two large beings heading to the city, with an unfortunate sigh. He soon retreated into one of the large buildings, hiding in the darkness as he hid his own energy temporarily.

                                Energy 2000/2000
                                Stats 4[6](Speed) / 7[9](Strength)
                                Equipment
                                Passives

                                    • Utilize Broken Strength
This is automatically activated upon the user achieving a broken arm. The energy and muscle stimulating shocks sent to the broken arm are transfered from the arm to the rest of the user, most of it going to the other arm. This allows the broken limb to be numbed to pain but can be restored at an easier pace. This helps the broken being to weild heavy weaponry with only a single arm like a weapons master, except they do not have access to any of the Weapon Master's skills.

                                    • Shadow Form
Most, if not all, physical attacks simply phase through the user. This can be a good and a bad thing. If all the opponent has all weapon and hand to hand styles, then the techniques that do not have energy coated on the weapons will simply go right through the user, making all other attacks useless. This is also bad because if the Shade attempts to attack, once can aim a physical attack at him, forcing him to turn himself into his shadowy form. By disrupting him, all of the skills he used are turned into smoke. The user may also chose to go into his incorporeal form once every three posts, at which point he can't attack.

                                    • Shadow Regeneration
The Shades are known to be living and breathing elementals of darkness. Because of that, they are capable of recovering at a slow rate while residing in dark areas or in an ally's shadow. The body is constantly healing for as long as they are within darkness and having their weapons put away. The rate of healing increases with the duration they remain in the darkness. During the regeneration process, the user cannot use offensive Bloodline or Elemental skills. If they are attacked, they have to restart recovery at the slowest rate.
1 post: Small cuts & bruises are healed.
2 Posts: Gashes are turned into small cuts.
3 Posts: Broken limbs can recover within three constant posts inside of darkness.
4 Posts: Internal injuries or burns from light/flame/holy techniques can be recovered.
5 posts: An entire missing body part can be restored at a slow, and painful rate(Excluding the head or torso and it takes 5 full posts waiting in darkness to recover.).

                                    • Shadowy Trail
A Shade does not cast a shadow, but can choose to merge with the shadow of an ally, similar to a ninja. In doing so, the Shade can act as a hidden bodyguard, emerging from the allies shadow at will. The Shade can't be detected other than by holy creatures such as Nephilims, or Paladins and Clerics.

                                    • Shadow MQC
You can now bend the shadows around you to reach your opponent that would be two spears away from you as you can attack them normally while retaining regular damage. The Shade can perform D-ranked damage when at their full strength while in this fighting style, but this is the only range modifyer this style has. This does not spread to other styles, nor weapons can benefit from learning this ability as this is to be the shade's main Fighting style.

                                    • Vibration Sensory
A useful skill, the user channels energy into their feet to sense vibrations on the ground. As long as their feet is on the ground, a user can sense where an enemy is if they are earth bound within 50ft for five posts. This skill becomes passive once the user is Adept Rank.

                                    • Miza's backshield
So long as Kumori keeps Miza sheathed on his back, he is able to resist more damage to his back. But the downside is that she can only resist up to D-rank attacks, C ranks causes a rank down in damage and B and higher cause full damage.

                                    • Trusted Wielder
This Skill requires you to beat the Spirit inside of the Sword. Miza the Terror can only acknowledge those who can defeat her in combat besides Kumori Hell. Those who can hold her after the defeat of the Sword's spirit, can become one with the sword, gaining the knowledge to use her full potential of the Weapon Style: Miza the Terror. Be wary of the weapon style itself as it can kill the user if they misuse the Style's own techniques, the spirit would even warn them to be careful.

                                    • Miza The Terror Weapon Style
Miza has her own Weapon Style.

                                    • Phantom Plane Origins
The user's clothing emits a powerful substance of destruction, known as a Black Shuck Virus. The virus comes out to a maximum of 5 feet in battle, but only 2 feet out of fighting. Staying within the reach of the virus, the foe's own shadow vanishes if they are in the virus's range for 4 posts. Kumori's own shadow skill techniques will gain an increase of one rank for the shadows absorbed into his body(maximum shadows needed: 2) and can only last for 5 posts. As well as performing this, the user no longer suffers energy penalties caused from his class.

                                    • Demonic Prowess
The blood of the innocent courses through Kumori's non-existant veins, powering his body through death itself. As such, his max energy pool has been increased by 700 while every single one of Kumori's Earth Elemental attacks are now boosted with a natural life draining energy. Any earth that Kumori has influenced with his energy, becomes inhabitable by plantations, but unaffects other mortal creatures. Kumori's weapons and armor can effect skill barriers, normal/skill shields, and Armor.

Amias was more than ready for this fight. Knowing that one of his opponents was the Queen he'd met previously, there was no time to hold back. Activating not only his Berzerker's awakening, but also a skill given to him by his personal style, Force Rebirth. His muscles were extremely invigorated, giving him a monstrous boost to his physical attributes. The level of perception given to him from the Dim Mak enabled him to detect the chi flow of his opponents, making traditional energy hiding abilities useless. Using this, he was able to near-immediately scout out Kumori's location. Though...he merely waited patiently this time around for their third opponent to show herself. at that point the battle would begin.

                                                        Energy 1950/2050

                                                        Passives

                                                            • Glory To Me
Pagans are very... noble. They have the air of a King or Queen about them; even a divine. This comes from this particular ability. 'Glory To Me' is a mental allure that they constantly release from their vessel, similar to an Incubi's seduction, but weaker. Rather than seducing people, this ability fools their mind. It can make them see things that aren't real. In fact, they can even feel these things. This ability is literally impossible to ignore or break out of, but it serves little benefit other than prestige. A Pagan will often use this power to make themselves appear divine; the sun will rise behind them, their clothing will flow and shine with the breeze, they'll just seem so... God-like. They can even change their appearance using this, although it's a temporary thing. This ability can have some uses in battle, though. For example, if a Pagan is to cast a shadow over themselves, it'd make them harder to see. If they make the sun shine behind them, they can make their enemy flinch away from the overbearing light. They can also fool enemies into thinking they've struck a shield or something like that, although that sort of manipulation over reality is something that only Pagans who focus on this type of power can do.

                                                            • Three Wishes
Up to three times per fight, the djinn may manipulate the force around an attack to redirect it for two ranks less in energy. This can only be done on skills of one rank higher than them. This is an extremely powerful passive of the djinn, an intelligent djinn capable of using it to largely make up for their vulnerability to ranged magic. It can also help to leave an enemy open in close-quarters combat.

                                                            • Mind Games
The djinn have a permanent 'force' around their skin that will reduce incoming damage by a rank (excluding holy and unholy magic). This puts them on the same level of base defensibility as a werewolf, although they can't regenerate, so...
At adept rank, this force can become amplified by the djinn's mind, psychomanually controlling the level of force in the layer of magic. They can apply energy to it to block all manner of attacks, meaning they don't really have to learn defensive abilities. It is really no more potent than any other defense of its rank, though.

He seemed to twitch, vibrate as large postules rose on his back, filled with grey matter. Along his massive body were many spawnlings already being born into a new world. It took mere moments before they were fully accustomed to their new world. Shar screeched commands to them, the language lost to those not of the swarm. A single, small insect ran rather quickly into a tall, ruined building. It buried itself there, inside of the lobby and it dug deep enough to seemingly disappear. Within the next minute, it burst up, turning the entire small building into a hatchery. Soon it would be ready, and Shar's creatures would be birthed at a fairly high rate. If this wasn't enough... a large monstrous creature also rose from his back, floating high in the air as he was directed. It's only orifice at the bottom of it's body opened wide, Shar crawling back with another knowing screech, and a rain of spawn territory began to fall, splashing into the ground and pushing outward from the epicenter. Shar seemed to tire a bit, and took to the skies, landing atop the overlord. His job was done for his Queen, he had naught to do now but await instruction. Meanwhile, Kal herself seemed to appear from nowhere, surrounded by her territory, raining down upon her. She stepped from it, safe and clean oddly. Her mark was in full activity, her eight legs and stinger in view. From her body, reacting positively to the sensation, contorted a bit. Her stomach bulged and she rubbed her stomach lovingly, a screech tearing free.
"My babies... come forth..." she said as she tore open, gray liquid flooding as she moaned aloud. From it, a brood was born. Five mothers crawled free, immediately surrounding her and burrowing into the ground. Beside them, five mothers rose around her as well, one for each mother, who each began pumping a toxic gas around her. Kal fell to her knees as her back burst open as well, her moans now screams that could infect a world with terror. 8 Basilisks flew into the air, a chorus of screeches echoed by a troop of 10 roaches also being born. She decidedly liked what it felt like to birth more, and as such she allowed another to rise from her form, now hidden amid a billowing mass of grey goo. The four spawning creatures were bombarders, each one dripping acid from it's mouth, and a group of six Mutalisks took wing among the Basilisks swarming around her. She rose, freeing herself from the grey matter with a look of pure ecstacy amid the screeches. She took to the air with a powerful jump, all of her little monsters at the ready as she stood on the head of Shar atop the Overlord. She held up a hand suddenly, as the mothers prepared to spawn as well. Another 16 Basilisks rose from the holes on their backs, smaller but no less menacing. The Queen made a fist and all the swarm scourts, the basilisks and roaches, would come close. She opened her hand, and each of them ran out, spreading swarm territory as they moved out, searching for Kumori and the one called Amias. She would eat well tonight.

This will then burrow into the ground in a suitable area, one infected by Spawn territory, and then "die" bursting in a huge mass of reddish grey muk, bursting from the ground and pooling like a digusting and vile bubble. Inside this bubble is filled with gasses, volatile juices, and most importantly the material for the creation of life. After five posts of survival, whereever the Hatchery was created, it will begin a hellacious spawning of Roaches, Mutalisks, Bombarder, Hydralisks, and Ultralisks of S rank. Every two posts after, a brood of four of whatever was chosen (by necessity determined by the Hive Mind) will emerge.

                                                                    Spawn Overlord SS

If left alone, it could convert an battlefield, slowly but surely.

                                                                    Kal:

This ability morphs the ground beneath the Swarm. Everywhere 5 yards around a Swarmling or the Swarmhost will become almost organic and gray - this environment is perfect for the Swarm, and on or above this environment they feel invigorated. Their stats are improved by +1/+1, and they are capable of performing their special features (Mothers digging, Liches burrowing, etc). The Swarmhost can also birth free unranked Swarmlings from their body while on or above Swarm Territory.

Spawn Bombarder S ((Boosted to SS))
A Hellacious creature who's body is filed to the brim with volatile acids that only it can seem to survive in. It can launch globs of this as if spitting quite a distance, making ranged enemies need to think twice before ignoring them. The globs deal damage equal to the spawn's rank, but it can only spit twice in a single post. They are slow, and frail, but make up for this by raining hell upon their opponents. Spawns two at a time.

Spawn Mutalisk S (Boosted to SS)

They have a special ability, however. They can, once every two posts of life beginning with their birth, choose to take no offensive or defensive action to seemingly birth a set of C rank Basillisk. This can only happen twice, with the second instance killing the Mutalisk.

                                                                    • Spawn Roaches B ((Boosted to A))
This ability creates six individual "roaches", or Spawnlings that look like extremely large alien roaches. These creatures are all considered C-A rank, but cannot destroy C-A rank techniques or be destroyed by them. These swarmlings are simply attack dogs and will chase after foes, running very quickly and striking with bitter determination. They may be harvested by the Swarmhost and focused into a C-A ranked blast of green acidic energy.

                                                                    • Spawn Basilisks A ((BBoosted to S))
The Swarmhost creates four "Basilisks", bat-like insects that zip through the skies. These basilisks follow the same rules as the Roaches, but instead of attacking by melee, will assault the enemy with corrosive bombs that explode through flung sacs. The Basilisks may be harvested for a corrosive wing blast that will target the opponent, fling at absurdly high speeds, and melt through them and their surroundings for fifty feet. This blast is A-S
ranked, depending on the energy used to spawn the Basilisks.

                                                                    • Spawn Mothers S ((SS))
Mothers are an entity that create small creatures from their bodies, two ranks below them. These creatures can be basilisks, roaches or ultralisks. The mothers will burrow into the ground and generate these entities from large holes covering their back. They look like beetles. Another thing the mothers may do is release toxic clouds from its holes as a self-defense mechanism. The Swarm is immune to these clouds, but enemies and allies won't be.

                                                                    • Spawn Liches A ((S))
This ability creates giant tendril-like monstrosities from the ground that can only move by digging into the ground and then rising elsewhere, usually by means of Swarm Territory. These "Liches" can lengthen to extreme proportions of nearly one hundred feet, and will lash out at targets or fling massive splinter bombs at enemies. Usually these are meant to protect the Swarmhost or Mothers. They may be harvested to cast another Spawn ability of the same rank.

Kumori could feel the ground shaking as the area was being covered with unnecessary large swarms. This caused him to sigh, roll his eyes and begin charging his energy into his right hand. "This is just going to be more annoying than ever." He whispered beneath his breath as he continued to gather energy into his right hand before running away from the ground level. He started to run up the old and decrepit steps as his eyes had a dark glow to them. So far, only Amias could see where Kumori was clearly, as the being of darkness ascended higher and higher up the second tallest building in the area. Within moments, Kumori reached the top, and due to him just standing there as a being of darkness, he literally lacked a shadow to cast from his body on the ground. Which meant he could be at any height he wanted and not be scene by shadows.

As soon as Maria entered the area, Amias was able to pick up on her energy using his mastery of Dim Mak. Then--subsequently using his ability to remove space--he immediately appeared within five feet of her, using an extremely powerful coating of lyr around his body to defend himself from whatever would emerge. "Oh...oh wow." Originally, he was just going to straight-up fight her, but then he saw all sorts of swarm creations that he hadn't seen before. Immediately walking up next to Kal, and using his Dim Mak energy vision, he would start pointing out specific swarmlings moving across the ground. "What does that one do? Ooooh...what about that one?" Of course, he was keeping a careful eye on the flow of her energy, and would supplement his defenses even further if need be, but he felt that an SSS-rank shield around his body would be...sufficient. "I already spoke with West, but you're summoning so many of them at the same time...there are so many of them that I haven't seen yet, and I just want to know what all of them do...this is so exciting!" He then proceeded to walk down shar's back, observing the obvious birthing pods lining all the way down. Since they were both on top of the large spawner, he then immediately took to the sky, using the pads of lyr underneath his feet for a free method of sustained flight. He then immediately got within twenty feet of Shar's face, one hand stroking his chin. "Does this one understand our language? I haven't seen one this big before...besides the one you're both riding on, obviously..."

Then, realization hit him like a ton of bricks, and the pagan cursed himself for not remembering it earlier. "Wait...I understand now. This is what Dominus transformed into. That massive dragon you used to have with you at all times." He sighed before waiting patiently for Kal's response. Some might have thought it strange--his random nerd-out--but to the pagan it was perfectly natural to explore, to learn more about these creatures than he would have been able to any other way. Of course, he still kept a careful eye on the flow of their energy with Dim Mak, so he would be the first to know if they tried to react with hostility.

She watched the roaches running about, slamming into buildings and rushing down anything that looked even remotely alive to them, like trees or cars. She watched as the Basilisks screeched like bats, flying around sporadically, leaving trails in their wake. Kal laughed as the land was claimed ever slowly by the overlord, who continued to puke the grey living tissue over the ground. Kal looked down as the mothers bursted, letting up a hail of creatures as well. Another type of spawn rose from them. Ultralisk, 8 of them of A rank also rose from the ground suddenly. Immediately, with their already high speed boosted, they sprinted forward, crashing into buildings. She directed the bombarders to begin bombing as well. Everything would be cleared out soon enough between the 16 basilisks spitting acid over everything and the bombarders doing the same with much higher demolitionist affects. The Roaches weakened foundations by slamming through everything they could, and ramming repeatedly into whatever they couldn't until they crashed through it. The Ultralisks literally tore through the taller buildings, threatening their foundations and bringing them down in minutes. Even the liches abandonded the guard duty and, using existing spawn territory, sprung up randomly, tearing through buildings similarly, tearing a hundred feet up into them and wriggling about. Soon, Kumori would find his own hiding place under assault... eventually.

When Amias appeared before her, she wasn't moved, she merely blinked quickly, wondering why the s**t he had done that. Shar shifted as he walked down his back, unsure what to make. Amias would then appear again in front of Shar, who growled a bit, a cackle of electricity flooding from his mouth threateningly. The Basilisks would stop their bombing runs, her tail would arc up, as her webbed spider legs reared up. "How astute of you..." she would say as he floated there. "Why don't you... stick around! There is plenty more to see!" she exclaimed as from every opening, orifice, extremity, would burst, spraying webs directly at him, as well as pretty much everywhere else i the thread. It would go from one end directly to the other, filling all of the space inbetween. It would look like Spiderman Web of Shadows in the last phase now, disrupted only by the swarmlings intent on laying waste to everything.

This web is incredibly sticky and surprisingly durable as well. It can only be destroyed by energy equal to it's rank. At SSS this webbing can cover an entire thread with ease, making travel difficult for all but the host. However, at S rank and above, the webbing is slightly thinner and easier to avoid. For all intents save for teleporting with Lapse, ambient webbing is treated like swarm territory until destroyed.

Kumori's hand glowed dark red before he soon brought it down on the building as it was getting ready to be swarmed. The clouds of the bleak city soon began to thunder as they slowly came together even more above Kumori as a cloaked being slowly began to descend down to float above Kumori himself. "We have work to do." Kumori told Scythe as his energy was beginning to connect with Scythe's. Soon, the being rose his scythe and even started to spin around, Kumori could see the enemies, and can even grant Scythe locations of oncoming enemies, especially the aerial bombers. It didn't take long before a large tornado of bladed winds formed around Kumori, the destructive winds beginning to draw in enemies while at the base of the building, Large spikes of earth began to hit the roaches and even a few basilisks as they were trying to claim the rest of the area as territory. It repeated twice more, mincing anything underneath Kumori and Scythe. Scythe continued to spin as he was slowly heading towards the fliers carefully.

As Scythe generated a tornado, Kumori decided to use his own movements and began to slide down the building carefully, using the cover of bleakness to maneuver around safely while Scythe was empowering him. Once he was at the first spike, Kumori landed and jumped off of the very spike and landed onto the next building's roof as he was learning exactly what Each creature was, all of them seemingly autonomous. It didn't take him long to discover each of them were birthed and it was quite literally more or less resembling a bee-hive of worker beings, all of them slowly spreading outward more. Kumori made sure he was well aware of his surroundings, including the sky, but it seemed the acid from above finally stopped, for now.

                                    Shadowknight Damnation (Passive)
Scythe produces a terrifying aura that boosts any shadowknight within the single thread. This strengthen's their techniques by a single rank, creating a deadly feel around the entire area. This would weaken Paladins due to the massive power of the being noted as the Guardian of the First Shadowknight. This weakens paladin skills by a single rank and Nephilim will seek even harder to try and kill this monsterous beast.

                                    Death's Touch (Passive)
A single touch from Scythe's bare skeletal hands will drain their foe of stamina and energy(-1/-1 each touch). However, this can only work on touching the unarmored parts of the foe so it will not work should Scythe touch the scaley parts of the dragon. This can be stacked as the effects last for 3 posts, should the strength stat drop down to Zero, the foe will perish. The body is not required to be made of living tissue, as death's touch works on the spirit only.

                                Technique

                                    Scythe:

                                    Deathscythe: Tornado B
Scythe will spin around in place, usually over the master as Scythe generates a bladed tornado. Those caught within it's 8 feet radius range will be lifted up as they are slashed into from the sharp winds of the attack. Extended at 16 feet total around the 8 feet radius, the winds are strong and can disrupt flight of any kind.

The One of Earth: Glaive A
Scythe will concentrate energy into the earth below him, breaking the ground before he summons up a pure circle of spikes around him. The spikes jet out three times, an out-stretching ring as of luck as it hits 3 feet away from the user, then 5 feet, then 7 feet. The spikes are 4 feet in diameter This is capable of impaling numerous foes and missing the Summon's master completely.

                                    Kumori:

At her sudden, yet disgustingly sarcastic compliment, Amias prepared himself for her inevitable counter-attack. Although he did quite want to learn as much as he could about these creatures, the imposing threat of the webs around him were...actually not threatening at all. As previously stated, Amias had a dense coating of Lyr around his body, the defense itself being SSS in power. Given that Kal's attack was of comparable energy use--although hers was spread across their entire battlefield instead of being condensed into a small coating--the webs did little more than briefly stick to his energy before the attributes of 'nothingness' very quickly and efficiently made them slide down to the surface of the spawner below them. "I don't appreciate your ferocity. I have come here to learn about these species...but I guess you're not going to indulge my curiosity." The pagan then soared backwards until he was in the optimal position; same elevation, about twenty feet forward, just slightly past the front of their airborne carrier. Raising one hand up to the sky like a blade, he slashed downward, sending an extremely potent edge of slicing Lyr at his opponent, with a span wide enough to not only slice through Kal and Shar, but their airborne carrier as well. Naturally, this would use up a little more energy than the Defensive version for slightly less substantial results, but it was a risk he was willing to take. The associated strength behind it was of two S-ranked skills, requiring a rather potent amount of energy to block.

                                                                    ""

Amias not being affected by the webs offset her a bit, but she was not confused for very long. It was clearly some kind of energy barrier. No matter, it was nothing she couldn't handle. As he spoke, she smirked. He would learn, just not in the way he expected. Rather than speak, as he began to soar backwards Kal had already called back her sky raiders, with the strongest of the Basilisks reaching her first. Her yellow eyes were overtaken in their entirety by pure energy as those 8 s rank Basilisks seemed to burst into grey matter and green energy charged her body. She would see his arm swipe with a swing of her tail, releasing an equal ranked S rank blast acid blast to meet his slice head on, causing them to cancel each other and preventing any harm from coming to call. All of the Basilisks and Mutalisks by then, the 8 Basilisks remaining, and the six mutalisks as well, would swarm quite literally, around the flying Amias. From the mothers, a troop of sixteen more basilisks, just as they had once before, took flight as well, screaming as they received their orders. Attack. One after the other in a perfect symbiotic symphony, acid would be fired at him from every thinkable direction. Complete and utter destruction would be a very real danger as the unholy assault began. As if that were't enough, the bombarders would focus their fire on him as well, with their powerful and accurate acid blasts factored into the over all danger.

Below their aerial battle, only a single roach was even mildly inconvenienced by the reaper's attack, but he did make himself a target for the rest of the attack hounds and the ultralisks, who each homed in on the building it floated above. With everything around covered in and connected by webs, all of the creatures had direct lines to it. All 18 of the ground based swarmlings, the ten roaches and 8 ultralisks, sprinted from different directions in an ultimate spawn rush, some from wires connected to other buildings, some up the building itself, all faster due to their spawn territory. Once they reached him, they would try their damnest to simply tear it apart, with the roaches getting to it first ideally, and the ultralisks arriving for backup.

As far as the other few spawnlings, the Liches previously concerned with spreading territory, well they would stay true to their true cause as the directive deep within their very bones was activated. They launched upwards from wherever they were, their bodies returning to their natural goo form as they were harvested and repurposed into the most horific sight possible: another four spawned pods. The pods equal to it's rank, created 16 S rank Basilisks as well, which would join the party late, all swarming around amais and firing their payloads within the air raid. Shar would buzz loudly, his wings a lot like a hornets as it pulled the Overlord away from the fighting, trying to keep it as safe as possible as it spread spawn territory across the world, moving towards unclaimed territory where Amias and Kumori hopefully wouldn't follow it. Neither of them were in particularly favorable positions to do so under siege as they were.

As for Kal, after she had stopped Amias's attack, she herself would become scarce, teleporting to the building across from the reaper, and Kumori, though he was still a bit higher than her. She saw the reaper there, far away enough to be slightly out of her attack range but still in her vision. She wanted to see for herself what it could do, and as two of her Hydralisks saw her, instead of continuing their assault they stopped and stood on either side of her, gurgling and snapping their jaws as they looked all around, and she rubbed their heads lovingly as she observed it's movements.

                                                                    NRG
