(I'll claim spot 2 then shall I ? :3 )Given how adamant Jelanii was that they leave Oba, Cerith had believed that he would spirit them off into the night at once. But, for whatever reason, his decision to leave that very night had faltered, and instead they remained in Sulburi until further notice. Her brother had been horribly secretive as of late (something Cerith hugely resented), and if he'd been silently hoping that Cerith would move into the tavern where he stayed, then he was disappointed. Perhaps out of stubbornness or just because she realized he was keeping secrets, Cerith had instead found accomodations elsewhere - which was tricky because she'd gone and sullied her reputation, after running off with Jelanii from her job at a well-to-do inn.
Finding new work, temporary work, wasn't hard - Oba was starving for skilled hands, but working for pay rather than a position left a sour taste in her mouth. She'd rather get on with it, go where her brother wanted to go, and try and carry on wherever he deemed fit (which she'd argue with tooth and nail if given the opportunity). As it was, at least the work wasn't ridiculously taxing. Jelanii wanted to spend a ridiculous amount of time together, but Cerith had, up until now, been able to shrug him off a majority of the time - after their first conversation in which she admitted her reasons for not returning home, she'd been reluctant to open up any further with her stranger of a brother.
Not that it was easy - Jelanii just exuded such blind dedication, absorbing every sharp word or insult she could throw his way with only a pained look - it was hard NOT to open up to him. It was like kicking an obedient pet, who then wondered what they had done wrong - assured that they were to blame, and not their abusive owner. And that was what Cerith was - and she didn't let herself forget it, even if it didn't stop the jabs from coming.
For whatever reason, though, today Jelanii seemed especially keen on seeing her - and after noting his nervousness, she finally agreed to visit. Her sunburn had recovered, finally, though her skin was still tender to the touch - and she'd regained herself from her rough trip into Matori, once again dressed well and comfortably, skin bared in ways she was sure Jelanii didn't approve of. Nearing the tavern, Cerith spotted her brother, but paused as she neared him when she saw just how fidgety he was. Lips quirking into a soft smirk, Cerith approached and gave him an unshy onceover, "
Well, if this isn't the most suspicious thing I've ever seen, then I don't know what is! What's wrong, brother?" Cerith said by way of greeting, reaching to straighten down some of Jelanii's ruffled, normally straight hair, uncaring of personal space. She liked to make him as uncomfortable as she possibly could, after all.
