It was an boring day for Nyah today, which said a lot. She'd done her usual wandering loop around the forests a few times and listened in on a few conversations, but none had really given her much entertainment, and Tahigwa was busy with Ilyra all day. There was pretty much nothing left for her to do except wander aimlessly and let her thoughts dictate her steps. It wasn't engaging like listening, but it was something to do. The canopy seemed to have more life than usual and the most minute of rustlings brought five or so Nondwa out from their hiding spaces. In her idle state, Nyah imagined herself among them, fluttering and chasing after the sun, and crouched to watch them.
"Chip-cheerp?"
"Oh, Sid, there you are." Nyah mused, turning to the Kinfa as it perched on her shoulder. "These Nondwa are funny, aren't they? I wonder if they're fighting."
"Chiiep?"
"Yeah, maybe." Nyah chuckled, giving the bird a scratch. "... I am a little bored, I guess."

Callum's life had taken an extreme 180 flip. The young hybrid was surrounded by a flurry of activity and it seemed like every day was something new. First it was meetings with other hybrids, then the attack and now his training...
Still, there wasn't a day that went by where he wasn't thinking about a certain black eyed beauty. It stood to reason that when Callum made his visits with Ming'we and Minga that he had to visit her, right? It wasn't too creepy?
Faulina was the first to spot the pair. She flew just a few feet above her bonded with the wind just barely fluffing up her pink feathers. Callum wouldn't have noticed them at all if not for Faulina's sudden land on his head. She tugged at his hair with her talons, trying to turn him a different direction.
Callum hissed at the sharp pulls, and gently disentangled her talons from his hair. He picked up the fluffed up kinfa, who looked at him as petulantly as the avian could. "Manners," Callum chided in a whisper, raising a pointer finger to poke her beak. She snapped at him, but for once, he was too fast for her.
Callum cleared his throat before he got too close. Why was it so easy to speak with others and it took him ages before managing to breath around her? "Hello Nyah, Sid," He smiled as he crouched down beside them. "What are you looking at? I...wow, what are those things?"

Nyah turned at the sound of Callum's voice and smiled. Oh, it was Callum, that boy she met when she met those hybrid twins! She was pleased to see him, more so out of relief over the fact that she wouldn't be bored anymore, and reached a hand out to him.
"Callum! How are you?" She chirped, motioning for Sid to move to her hand. "What?"
She turned out toward the Nondwa again and blinked. He didn't know what they were? He was half-shifter! ... Well, he was also half-wind, and he didn't live here all his life like she did. It was plausible that he'd never seen a Nondwa before. She nodded to this realization and turned back to Callum.
"Those are called Nondwa, or Nondwi." She explained, pointing them out. "They're pretty, aren't they? I wish I could fly like they do. Don't you?"

The lad took her offered hand as he settled and held on a little longer than he probably should have. Callum let go after a while with the intention of tucking his hair behind his ears. Of course it stayed behind his left, but fell back down just as quickly around the right.
Faulina wriggled out off of Callum's lap, and with no small amount of shoving, moved her way onto his crystallized shoulder. "They're amazing." Even if they weren't the only things the boy thought were pretty swell, Callum had to admit the creatures were neat to watch. The glow that came from their little fuzzy bodies resembled the dust they left behind. "I think I would be very happy if I could just glow like they do," Callum chuckled. "but flying...that would be pretty awesome. Where would you go if you could fly?"

"I..." Nyah began, her voice trailing off as she thought. What would she do if she could fly like the Nondwi? It had to be somewhere incredible, right? Or breathtaking. Maybe to Zena? She'd heard about snow, snow was supposed to be beautiful and sparkling, like diamonds. Or, maybe she'd go to Matori and see what the beaches were like there compared to Jauhar. There were literally millions of places she could go if she could fly, and it would probably take her years to visit them all... "Charr-reeip?""Whoops, sorry! Got lost in thought." She continued, patting Syd on the head. "... I think I would go to Zena or Matori first, or maybe fly as high as I could and just... See the entire world from above. Where would you go, Callum?"

Callum was just content to watch her while she thought. She was smaller than the other Alkidike he had met, but to him that made her more approachable. He tried to rationalize it off as the connection with their necklaces, but maybe...
"Oh! Oh no, it's fine." Callum laughed nervously, having been lost himself. His cheeks were flushed a lovely shade of rose by the time he turned back to look at the fuzzy flyers. Talisia is from Zena. Yes, and she was having trouble adjusting to the heat of Jauhar. Callum worried over Nyah; what if she froze in that beautiful, icy landscape? Draped in fur...and tight leggings...
"I'm not really sure." He reached out to touch the tip of a glowing fungus. "Probably Andile, so that I could visit with you..., Ming'we and Minga without having to walk so far."
