He was grubby enough to leave a light trail of dust behind him. Fingertips ran along the walls, looking up at the ceiling, not bothering to look at what he was walking towards as he made his way towards the exit. As it turned out, he was not looking at who he was walking towards, either. He knocked into someone, yipping like a startled dog, big-eyed.

Gale had not seen the trail of dust, nor had he even notice the person that was walking towards him, head bowed low over a stack of folders. Mission Report was stamped across the papers in the first file, which was open as he walked, Gale's eye scanning the page on top.
The folders, of course, went all over the place as soon as he was knocked into, spilling out across the hallway in every direction. Gale scrambled to catch them, but missed, winding up on his knees rather painfully.
He let out a swear, and looked up.
"Errr," he said, brow furrowing at the unfamiliar young man standing there. "Sorry, wasn't looking where I was going."

"Me either!" he exclaimed, almost victorious in his exuberance. "What are these papers?" He couldn't read, but the squiggles looked important. There was no move to help, of course. Because unknowingly, he was the worst.

Gale, who was in the process of pulling files towards himself, lifted his gaze to the other, a slightly bemused expression on his face.
"Just some research I'm doing," he said, and flipped a few more pieces of paper into a folder, lamenting the fact that he would have to reorganize everything once he got back to his office. Gale shuffled everything together and stood, brows drawing together as he looked at the young man in front of him.
"I don't think we've met before, have we?" he asked curiously. "My name's Gale, are you new here?"

"On what?" he asked, too nosy for his own good, and completely oblivious to it. "We have not!" He stared at the blond for a long moment-- maybe a little too long, with a very intent stare-- before growing animated again. "Hello, I am Scorpio!"

"Er," said Gale, brow furrowing even more. "Just on the recent events, mission reports and the like."
The intense stare was making him vaguely uncomfortable. He leaned a little away unconsciously and said, "Scorpio's an interesting name...what division are you in, if you don't mind me asking?"

"Oh I see," he said, not seeing at all. "That sounds very boring." He scratched at his chin, looking thoughtful. What was Aunt Sindri again? "Death," he said, "definitely Death!"

Gale frowned slightly, but since this was his default expression, it didn't really look any different except maybe a little more intense.
"Oh," he said, "So you're in my Division. Well, did you want to come and help me organize these files?"

"Yes," Lurks agreed, absolutely clueless as to what he was agreeing to. "No, that sounds boring." He looked all around, scrutinizing the building. It wouldn't be very fun to play lurks and waits here, he guessed. No terrain. Maybe outside? "Can we do something else?"

Gale just stared.
"Like....what, exactly..?" he asked slowly, brows drawing together.

"I don't know!" He sounded awfully excited for someone clueless, and was beaming just as strong. Even if humans were, sometimes, a little bit boring. Where was the violence? The bloodshed? The cries of the innocent? "What do you do for fun?"

He was slightly concerned about the level of enthusiasm emanating from this new recruit. Gale found himself leaning back a little, expression one of bemusement as he held the files to his chest.
"Er," he said. "I like to...read. Or watch movies. Or, er, make food or tea or go off island and relax."
Clearly Scorpio had picked the wrong person to have fun with.

"But," Scorpio said, "all of that happens.... inside." He looked quite intently puzzled.
