Rolled a three: Grass field: The breeze from the stadium air conditioners rustles the flat grassland arena that has replaced the default stage. Small clouds of harmless pollen fly through the air from the breeze. The land is completely flat, making maneuverability easy to those build to walk on land. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to GRASS and BUG type attacks

Lyle was feeling nervous as he headed into the field. His opponent today had requested a 4-on-4 match, and it would be the first time he'd used do many in a single battle. It would be good practice for sure, but it would also be tough.

Spinel clung to his shoulder, grinning eagerly as he leaned towards the battlefield. Lyle turned his head slightly to look at his pokemon. "Spinel, you're not battling today. Some of my never pokemon need the practice." His pokemon's smile went away and he turned his big eyes on is trainer, managing to look pleading. "Sorry, but you're still my strongest pokemon. I need to get the others up to your level." That seemed to cheer his pokemon up, and he turned his focus on the battlefield as Lyle approached the trainer box.

Alexa walked into the stadium with Chic Ken Pox on her head. The Torchic had taken a liking to sitting up there when he was part of Alexa's team. She waved to Lyle before taking in the grass field. "Thanks to agreeing to this Lyle! I know you're probably busy and all." She called out.

She walked over to her trainer box and wondered who she should toss out first and who Lyle would use. This would serve as a good practice battle for her to figure out a strategy for going against the new gym leader. She had no clue as to what his full team was like and with her sticking to one type it put her at a disadvantage majority of the time.

Lyle smiled when he saw the other trainer had a pokemon on her head. Spinel loved doing that, too. In fact, when the Sableye saw the Torchic, he grinned again and climbed up to perch on Lyle's hat.

But Lyle had more important things to think about, like which pokemon to use first. The grassy field reminded him or where he'd caught one of his pokemon, so he decided to send the Zebstrika out. "You're up first, Jasper!" he said as he threw out his pokeball. The horse-like pokemon appeared on the field and immediately started stomping his hooves and tossing his head, eager to get moving.

Lyle didn't keep him waiting. "Pump up with Charge Beam."

His pokemon took off, running in circles around the field. As he did, electricity started crackling along his mane and down his body.

Alexa smiled back at Lyle and laughed when his Sableye climbed up on his head. Seemed they had something in common besides being trainers. She stared at his strange horse pokemon when he sent out Jasper. Was that a really weird Ponyta or Rapidash? Seeing the electricity along his mane quickly answered that question. It was a really odd Zebstrika.

She grabbed one of her pokeballs and tossed it out. "Alright Pyrrhus! Don't let him get all pumped up by himself!" She called out.

Pyrrhus was much more interested in cuddling than battling but seeing his opponent race around getting all pumped up made his own blood boil. He tensed up getting ready for the horse pokemon to race by and possibly attack.

Jasper didn't seem to pay much attention to his opponent, possibly because it hadn't attacked him yet. Or maybe he just wanted to keep moving too much. Well, may as well let him jump into the action. "Jasper, Sand Attack!"

His pokemon skidded to a halt in front of Pyrrhus, facing away from the Darumaka. Then he started kicking up dirt, flinging it backwards at his opponent. He worked vigorously for a few moments before he took off again, resuming his circuit around the field.

"Watch out Pyrrhus!" Alexa called when she heard Lyle call out the sand attack. She grinned when Pyrrhus leaped up into the air to avoid the attack. "Good thinking! Use Earthquake!"

Pyrrhus kept an eye on Jasper as he raced around. When he saw the Zebstrika move towards him and then stop he knew something was up. He crouched down and then jumped into the air. He ended up avoiding the attack that way. As he began to fall down he heard his trainer issue a command. "Darrrrraaaaa" He yelled out as he tipped his head or rather his large arms downwards to accelerate his descent. He tried his best to time his landing to when Jasper was nearby so when he slammed into the ground the other pokemon would feel the shock waves in the earth.

Jasper leapt into the air as the shock waves approached, allowing them to pass harmlessly underneath him.

Lyle knew that could be trouble, but he just grinned. He had something he'd been wanting to try. "Jasper, Magnet Rise!"

As his pokemon hit the ground running, the sparks around him started to intensify. They crackled downward and focused on his legs, many of them appearing on and below his hooves. In moments he began to rise into the air, though his legs continued to move, so that he appeared to be running through the air.

Alexa groaned when Jasper jumped up to avoid the attack. She then got a thoughtful expression when he began to rise in the air using Magnet Rise. That was an interesting way to use that move even if it was super annoying that ground type moves were ineffective now. What to do now? She thought for a moment and shrugged. Might as well. "Pyrrhus give him a burn!" It would do steady damage if it hit.

Pyrrhus watched at Jasper began to run in the air. He exhaled heavily and gave a nod to his trainer. He began to move towards Jasper using his big arms to swing himself forward like an ape. Once he was close enough he began to run on his back legs while raising his fists. Taking a deep breath he then blew fire on them. With that done he punched at the running Zebstrika.

The punch connected solidly with Jasper's side, knocking him back to the ground. He stumbled, but started running again, his legs still crackling with electricity.

Before his pokemon could get airborne again, Lyle called, "Sand Attack!"

So Jasper paused to kick more sand at his opponent for a few moments. Then he leaped into the air, seemingly landing on an invisible platform when he continued to run above the ground.
