You need to step up your game.
It was right. He hated to admit it, but they were right. He was slacking, terribly so, and that was something that he shouldn't have allowed. General Buddingtonite wasn't his usual, outgoing and eccentric self as of late and even he was beginning to notice it. He didn't want to admit to it, but it was quite obvious, like a zit right smack in the middle of the nose, screaming but untouchable...
Sure, one could cover it with makeup, but it would still be there, staring at you in the face, mocking and jeering you with every breathe taken. One could wait for it to go away, but then, what would be the point?
Get to the point. You need fresh meat.
He did. Buddingtonite was terribly behind on his quota, not just for energy or starseeds, but new recruits. No, there wasn't a quota, though maybe there should have been one. The Negaverse ranks could always benefit from an additional member, or two, or twenty. It would serve the Negaverse well, and also, serve him well. Prove to the General-Sovereigns that he was worth keeping around.
Assuming they removed or demoted anyone when they didn't prove their worth, anyways. He didn't know, not really... and he wasn't intending on finding out. So tonight, he stalked a familiar ground, a coffee shop, looking for a certain dark-haired woman that had captured his fancy not too long ago. It was time to see if a hunch of his was worth exploring tonight.
Or, in the very least, you'll get some energy for Gra to nibble on later. Win-win.
