We at Paparazzi are always looking for new talent to join our team! It is for that reason that we decided to
take a little time to put out a short guide on creating content for our magazine! This is a brief guide, and by no
means is it complex. It's just a jumping point for future Paparazzi members! Create away, and remember if
you are interested in becoming a permanent member of the Paparazzi team,

Finding the story...A good journalist knows where to find a good story. Luckily, NPCon is a great place to start! There are tons of
people to interview from NPCs, special guests, panel hosts, artist alley participants and more--there is always
someone you could speak with to find your story! Anything is possible!
You must be sure to keep your eyes open! Participate in the convention, and have fun, but be wary about what
is happening. A good story could pop up at any time!
And don't think this is just about our writers! No, our photographers always need to be ready to snap a good
pic! Are any NPCs saying or doing something you think you could dramatize? THEN DO IT!
Being a contributor for Paparazzi is all about being creative, and commenting on what is going on. We don't
always know what an NPC is going to say or do, but we are going to be there to capture it! Go into every
situation with an open mind, and you will find opportunities to make great articles and photographs for
Paparazzi!

Writing It...Writing your story will depend on your style. Some folks like to give a little background, and go straight into
Q&A, while others prefer to paint a picture throughout the article. The choice is really your's.
There are a few simple rules I would follow when writing your article.
Number 1. Choose an attention-grabbing title.
Number 2. Make certain the first sentence of your article summarizes the entire story. Usually a reader
will decide based on the first sentence whether he or she will be finishing the article.
Number 3. Write the body of your article in such a way that you can provide a dynamic reading. You
want your article to be interesting. You can provide quotes, provide situation descriptions, or whatever--just be
certain to keep it interesting.
From these simple tips, you should be able to create an interesting article for your readers!

Drawing It...Paparazzi is well known for the celebrity photographs that grace our pages! It is important to note the cliche
"a picture says a thousand words." This really is the truth! Each "photograph" taken by one of our talented
artists says a lot about what is happening to an NPC. If you have the artistic skills to pull off an amazing
photograph, USE THEM!
Much of the same advice applies to a photographer as a writer. Use the photo to draw attention, and add a
caption to explain the situation. Be brief, captions are there only to set the stage for the reader so they
understand the situation the photograph is depicting.
It is always wise to have your photograph depict a specific situation! Paparazzi is not a portrait studio! We
want to tell a story with our photographs! This thread is littered with art submitted by Paps! Do you see how
each photograph tells a unique story?
This is what your goal is to do!
