Languages - Raised in a family with very distant parents disinterested in their child, Archer spent a lot of his time reading about other places. He developed a fascination with languages as a whole, their history and the way they work, and much of his early teenage years were spent trying to learn as many as he could. Along with speaking fluent French and Italian, he also speaks a smattering of ASL and has spent years attempting to develop his own language.
Photography - More of a side interest than anything else, Archer's love of observation and science has led to an appreciation for photography as well. He likes to be able to document the things he finds interesting, so he can have a visual for later; whether it's a person, place, or thing.
Science - Not necessarily the experimental type himself, he does enjoy both watching scientific experiments and learning about them in general. He comes up with a great deal of theories and hypotheses himself, and his "experiments" aren't usually physical, usually just thoughts inside of his head as he observes the world around him.

Level-headed - He is rational, to a fault sometimes. He doesn't act recklessly or carelessly; everything is through careful observation and simple deduction. Archer finds acting based on an emotional state to be confusing and counterproductive, so he uses his intelligence to an advantage, taking note of every possible solution to a problem. He is calm and collected in this manner; he doesn't like conflict, but overtly he thrives on it, develops his own reasoning and judgment based on the actions of others.
Loyal - While not entirely sociable, once Archer has made a decision about someone or something, he commits to that decision. If he likes you, he likes you. If he doesn't like you, he doesn't like you. There is no room for indecision or wavering in Archer's world; he likes to be absolutely certain of something, and once he is certain, he will staunchly maintain that belief and those loyalties.
Passionate - Maybe not passionate in an emotional way, but Archer puts every part of himself into the things that he does (hence his dedication to languages). He puts the time and effort into what he does, determined to be as thorough as possible, regardless of what it is.

Disdainful - He looks down on people, tends to automatically dismiss anyone that he finds to be less intelligent than himself (usually after his own personal assessment of a person). This doesn't usually apply to those in positions higher than himself, but will occasionally result in some resentment if he believes that they aren't worthy of their position. Archer has set standards for himself, and expects everyone to fall within those standards, even if they have no idea what they are.
Reclusive - He keeps to himself, mostly because getting involved with other people is a hassle. Drama is something of a bane of his existence, and the last thing he wants is to be involved in things that won't benefit him in some way. For this reason, he tends to "lone wolf," distancing himself and observing from a distance, rather than being overly friendly, such as some. He finds humans and humanity strangely fascinating, a part of him wanting to learn more and to be a part of the inner circle of friendship many that those around him share, but he doesn't put the effort forth to accomplish that.
Unemotional - His rational mindset notwithstanding, there are times when Archer simply mistakes something emotional for something scientific and vice versa. He seems unable to reason properly when there are emotions on the table, and will often be dead set in an explanation of something that takes emotions out of the equation, because he doesn't quite understand them. He simply tries to logic his way through life, when in reality, it isn't always possible to do so.
