Warm weather drove Nuclear Waste's ambition to travel to the ocean. There was just something about the resistance of running on the sand and the unique smell of the air that brought him a small bit of peace. The sun was shining high above him with cery few clouds, and he breathed deeply, using the strength of the scent to help him gauge the closeness of the sea. Soon the ground became softer and the gulls were more dense, and before he knew it he broke through a patch of dried, tall grass to the sound of crashing waves and sand up past his hooves. He smiled, something he seldom did, as he traipsed his way through the clean tan sand.

Hurricane Bedelia felt rather pleasant as she sauntered down her beach. The soft breeze ruffled through her feathers in a way she simply adored, and her short mane and tail gave themselves freely to it without bothering their host. Her red eyes opened and closed slowly, her hooves continuing on without the need for sight. She knew this beach better than anyone. It was hers, after all. Her guard was down, her mind was free. And she probably wouldn't have even noticed the trespasser in the distance were it not for his absolutely ridiculous frolicking. Her brow furrowed and her mood immediately soured. The male was not someone who she had chased off before, which was good for him, but he was on her territory none the less, and she couldn't have that. "Hey!" Her calling came out as a single high pitched, incredibly aggressive syllable. The shriek could have caught even the attention of the deaf. She stomped toward the stallion, which was an incredibly difficult feat with her hooves sinking into the earth on every step. It was obvious that she was well practiced.

Even the crashing of the waves couldn't cut through the sound Nuc had just heard. His ears pinned back and he flinched a little, expecting the figure to be close enough to strike him. When nothing happened, he looked to the would be assailant and raised a brow. Man, that lady could sure throw her voice! He sighed, though, when he noted her body language. No, this would not be fun. "Uh... Hi," he began, but soon realized the mare wouldn't be able to hear his soft voice from such a distance over the sound of the sea. He cleared his throat and slowly made his way toward her so she didn't have so far to go. If they were going to hash it out he may as well speed up the process. Not fun, indeed. His face drooped and his ears pinned back defensively. Nuc really didn't like confrontation.

To Bedelia, the stallion coming closer only meant he was preparing for an attack, or at least quite the back and forth argument. This only angered her more. Most of the others she chased away showed no hesitation in retreating upon seeing her head in their direction, but this stallion had the nerve to approach her! She began to flare her wings, trying to give herself a larger appearance, as she was quite a dainty mare. "You," she began sternly, "don't even know what you're in for!" She swatted at him with one of her feathered appendages, slightly surprised when he shrunk away. "What do you think you're doing on my beach?! Did I invite you? Because I sure as hell don't remember doing so!!!"
