Vaguely - and only vaguely - Aegir was aware of the arms lifting him, of the sensation of movement and the change in temperature. Was he being carried or had something horrible happened and he was dead and this weird twilight-like space he found himself floating in was limbo? Such questions were answered when a siren blared somewhere off to the left and behind him - them. That's right, Mont Blonc...he was helping me and then...oh god-- There was a jolt and the tall Saturn knight made sounds of distress at having jostled his floof-wearing cargo, but the senshi got the worst of it because Monty's half-stagger had caused his ankles to jerk and strike bone to bone, which set him into a full-on faint. To his credit, the dark-haired page did his best to get them both away from the gymnasium before something worse than the blue and red senshi being corrupted. He was exhausted but kept going, not wanting to be anywhere near the action - just in case - and didn't stop until they'd gone quite a bit past the main part of the campus, closer to one of the wide grassy, tree-dotted spaces that were patrolled by campus security to keep homeless folks from setting up tents. At first, Monty hadn't noticed that the man in his arms had passed out, he just found a tree to lean against and slid down the trunk with the blond in his arms, chest rising and falling rapidly from his exertions. It took a few moments for him to realize what he was holding and to be perfectly honest, he only noticed it because suddenly the amount and type of clothing on Aegir had changed. He hadn't been looking, he'd had his eyes closed. So tired. So very tired. In a relatively safe space, Mont Blonc found himself cradling the civilian version of Aegir, a version he hadn't yet met, but that was stirring a bit without the constant jostling of flight (the page had done his best, but it hadn't been the smoothest ride, okay). frayedflower Good job Monty! You saved the Princess! As a note I have permission to 'pilot' Monty for this post, to anyone reading xD

What was he going to do? That was the page's first thought as he sat there catching his breath. The smart thing to do would be to take Aegir to the hospital, but he couldn't exactly drag a super senshi there, not in a city where people still labeled them as deviants and terrorists. He could try and take him back to his apartment to wrap it, but that - no, he couldn't even do that. What if his roommate was there? Not to mention if it was more serious than a sprain, he didn't know what he was going to do.
Just breathe, he told himself. He could figure this out. All he had to do was rest for a few minutes and then he'd - well he'd figure something out. Aegir was depending on him, even if he didn't know it yet.
When he finally looked down and saw that it was no longer the super senshi clutched in his arms, the realization hit his already frayed nerves like a steel beam to the face. The briefest flare of intense panic surged through the page, even though they were safe - because Aegir hadn't chosen to show him this, because he was still hurt, because they couldn't stay here forever - but the thing about panic was, it was exhausting. Mont Blonc just didn't have it in him to keep it up, especially when he had a wounded and very vunuerable friend in his arms.
He tried not to stare. Mont Blonc was acutely aware he wasn't supposed to have seen this yet. It felt like catching a friend naked, and really it was kind of the same thing. Not that he recognized Aegir - not Aegir - the boy in his arms wasn't anyone he knew from anywhere. Not knowing what else to call him, seeing that he was stirring, he gently called, "Aegir? - can you hear me?"

Poor Mont Blonc, he'd tried his best! It wasn't his fault that he was getting his first gander at the non-powered version of his battle buddy...nor was he the first. Rhys - Ploutonion - had also, after Umber'd taken his star seed too. This was sort of becoming a habit - and not necessarily a good one. Through the dimming fog and confusion, Colin heard someone calling his name - a familiar voice, soft and worried. Slowly he opened his eyes, one hand coming up to rub at them in an almost sleepy manner. "Hmm?" Why was he outside? Why was he in Mont Blonc's arms, outside? The answers and reasoning behind his current situation came crashing in and he groaned and rubbed his hand over the whole of his face - wait, no glove. No diadem. s**t. I must have fainted and powered down... At least he'd been dressed in street clothes when the call had come out - being in jeans, layered shirts and a jacket was a lot less jarring to people than say, one of his costumes! "Uh...hi. Thanks for getting me out of there." Silence stretched for a moment while he contemplated what to say in the event of another unconscious power-down. "So...this is..also me." The blond had the good grace to look a little sheepish, but mostly he was telling himself not to panic - Mont Blonc was a good guy, a friend. This was okay. Besides, he probably would have told him sooner or later anyhow. How to make Monty not look like he'd been caught peeping at someone naked? "The name's Colin, by the way." He peeked up at the dark haired knight and tried a little smile. "You don't have to tell me anything, just..it's okay you know." Because Monty might not be ready to give up his civilian self; he hadn't really been ready but had thought about it a few times at least. His saturn!bro was a keeper. Also, he figured there was some leeway when you've been princess-carried off by a guy. Ought to be a on first name basis, right?Colin was quite fine with being held, he didn't make any indication that he was either wanting or willing to move. His friend could deal with holding onto him a bit longer, it was nice. frayedflower Enjoy your limpet, Monty. Also, he is a precious cupcake.

Mont Blonc watched him carefully as he woke up, watching for any signs of immediate discomfort and/or panic at the realization that his cover had been blown. He worried the inside of his cheek between his teeth, but slowly the tension eased out of him as he realized the other man - Colin, named at last - was okay with this. That was one of the big things he needed to know. Consent was sort of a big deal in his book.
With that out of the way, he smiled, warmly and gently. There was no reason for him to worry about giving out his identity; he had no family here anymore, and only a handful of people even knew him as a civilian. More than anything though, he had nothing to fear from Aegir of all people knowing him as he was. "Lorne; that's my other name. Nice to meet you, Colin."
Like he wasn't even thinking about it, he shifted Colin's weight just a bit, gently and carefully, so he could reach up and try to wipe away some of the drying blood under his nose. His hand was shaking, even if he didn't seem to notice. "How are you feeling?"
This was honestly better. He couldn't have taken Aegir to a doctor, but Colin? "Listen. I don't know if there's anywhere you want to go, but, uh... I sort of think I should take you to the hospital. You wrenched your ankle real bad back there, " and the concern was obvious, his lavender scent brow furrowed with it.
Syrie I wanna stick a cherry on him!

Colin's hurt ankle throbbed, but he was otherwise okay and when he saw Mont Blonc relaxing some things went from 'okay' to 'better'. And then he started smiling like they were Avengers and had just survived the Chitauri attack...which perhaps wasn't that bad a comparison, though the Avengers had won their fight. "Nice to meet you too, Lorne." Being moved didn't bother the curly-haired blonde any more than breathing did, he just accepted it - as his mother was wont to say, they'd been to the wars. "I'm fine, just my ankle. But..." He noticed how Lorne's hand was shaking and frowned, expression full of concern. "Hey, you okay?" Colin caught his friend's hand and held it gently; poor guy had gotten his star seed ripped from his chest and then carried him off to save his a**. Ugh, the hospital. Last place he wanted to go...but also somewhere he probably should go, just to be sure he didn't have some hairline fracture to his ankle. His legs were his life. "Yeah, probably. Or I can visit the staff doctor tomorrow." Colin wiggled a bit in the dark haired man's arms so he could try flexing and then rotating his foot, testing the sharp pain against what he was familiar with. Oh, wait, Lorne wouldn't understand, it wasn't as though he knew anything about Colin's life outside Aegir. "I'm a dancer with the Destiny City Theatre, so...this could be really bad. My boss is gonna be so pissed." Ugh ugh ugh. He leaned back dramatically, heavy in his friend's arms. "Really though, it's not as bad as it could be. I can rotate it without passing out." And what about his companion, who probably needed to see a doctor himself, or at least get some rest. "You looked bushed, why don't we just...head home? If you need to, you can stay at my place overnight. I've got a couch..." frayedflower Yeeees. A cherry. And whipped cream. I mean >_>;;

"Huh?" Mont Blonc blinked once, then twice, before it finally registered what Aegir was even talking about. Then, he turned just a bit red in the cheeks, embarassed at himself. "Oh, yeah, yeah... just, uh, tired, that's all." That's mostly what it was. He didn't want to acknowledge how shaken he was by the whole thing. Aegir's injury. His starseed being ripped from his body. The sensation of the general-queen and the corruption they had failed to stop.
He knew he had to do something, even if it wasn't all on him. Even if he'd managed to stop the guy in tattoos, it wasn't like he'd been the one to corner the senshi and corrupt her. But the page wished there had been something more he could have done - if he'd been stronger - 'Then what? There was stronger than me and they still got her.'
His smile faltered, a surge of self-directed annoyance welling up in his throat like bile. 'Stop thinking about it. Goddamnit Lorne, stop overthinking every goddamn little thing!' "Thank you, by the way. I mean for when you... y'know. I'm sorry I was so careless."
Staff doctor? He looked vaguely confused up until - "Oh. OH! You're a dancer?! Oh wow, that's so cool!" Even though he was exhausted, he lit right up, sincerely impressed until he realized - "And I made you walk on it before. Oh god, Colin, I'm so, so sorry." He knew he'd said it already, but just think about what his blunder of an attack could have done. Not only had the senshi been corrupted, but Aegir had to sit there and deal with him when his entire career hinged on his legs. It was like the part about it not being as bad as it could be went right over his head; he legitamately felt himself getting choked up, and he cleared his throat loudly and harshly to try and counteract it.
The page's heart still felt pretty damn heavy as he asked, "A-are you sure? - you wouldn't mind if I was there?" Because if he was struggling to stay awake in his powered form, he wasn't completely sure walking home alone was the best idea. But he also hated to impose, and he'd already imposed so much already. (Also, apparently the exhaustion was making him sensitive; great.)
Syrie I see what you did there!!

He understood, really he did. Aegir had managed to stop two people from being killed - or corrupted, eventually - but the feeling of that General Queen coming on scene had shaken him to his very core. It was like being near Castor...but on the opposite end of the spectrum; instead of awe, peace, and feeling uplifted...he'd felt awe, terror, and like he was an ant waiting to be ground underfoot. If not for Mont Blonc, I'd be dead or worse... And here he is trying to put on a brave face for me! C'mon, it's alright, we were all terrified. "Hey, Lorne...there wasn't anything we could've done. Without someone strong enough to stop that General Queen...we'd have been crushed like ants. That s**t is terrifying." Poor guy. Beating himself up over things outside his control, whether that meant Aegir's own foolhardy reactions or Laurelite coming down for that senshi at Umber's request. "You did great, okay. Don't kid yourself. That was one helluva mess, but you came through. Smelling a little like lavender, same as me. Man that stuff stung." Perhaps the blond puffed up some at Lorne's effusive praise of his chosen profession, perhaps he was just puffed up because a handsome person he liked was still holding onto him and being distracted from his brooding by talking about his civilian life. Probably a combination of the lot, really. When Lorne started apologizing the curly-haired sometimes senshi smacked him in the shoulder, not hard but not lightly either. "If I didn't want to get off my a** and keep moving, you couldn't have made me. I got up because I needed to get up, it wasn't your fault at all." "Yes, really. As long as you carry me, I'm happy to put you up for a night or two. I'll even throw in breakfast." Oh hell, the guy was choking up over him - and probably over what he perceived as a massive failure on his part (Colin felt the same way, really, but was trying to not show it). Lorne looked so sad and forlorn and almost panicky that Colin didn't know what to do to make him stop. Or rather, he knew what he could do but it might imply something more than he was willing to offer...but still, if he was going to make that wibbly face and those I'm not trying to not cry, at all sounds, they'd never get home. Well, fine then. Shock it is.Twisting his body for a better angle Colin used both his hands to grasp Lorne's face and pull it down for a chaste, closed-mouth kiss. Gay, Straight, Bi, Pan, Ace...whatever Monty was - or wasn't - an unexpected smooch would probably startle him right on out of the almost-crying (totally not crying) jag he was veering dangerously close to. frayedflower You ain't seen nothin' yet! Also I apologize for the smooch, Colin is pretty sure he doesn't want to deal with crying friend but is also pretty sure he shouldn't be kissing him for so many reasons (like consent, bjorn, consent, and still not being over bjorn) but he does find it effective? I can always take it out, if it's over-stepping badly. Just let me know, aye?

A muffled little yelp of surprise escaped him when Colin grabbed him, but other than that, the plan had gone off flawlessly. Any semblance of a thought left the second those lips pressed against his own, a vivid red settling across the page's cheeks.
Which wasn't the only change. By the time Colin pulled away, the page was gone and Lorne as himself had finally appeared - clad in a tank top and a pair of pajama pants covered in a leafy pattern. Seriously, he was even wearing slippers. (Hey, he'd been tired tonight; he really hadn't planned on being out this long! Just a quick patrol and then back to the apartment!)
There were traces of moisture left at the corner of his eyes, but wide as they were with all the blushing and his mouth hanging open maybe just a little - yup, all semblance of misery effectively dismissed, and then some.

Monty's blushing was... adorable as hell and for a few moments Colin forgot all about the Sandrassacre, about his throbbing ankle and all the rest in favor of being charmed. And then he realized that a guy blushing that hard, looking that stunned...probably had little to no experience with kissing. Probably. It became even more apparent that Lorne was in some sort of shock because he powered down to what amounted to his skivvies and Colin felt the heat from his body even more clearly through his jeans and shirt. Had he just stolen Lorne's first kiss? Oh god. Colin's hands were still on the dark haired youth's face, he dropped them back to his shoulders and looked both horrified and embarrassed. "Oh God, Lorne...I'm so sorry...was that your...I mean, you..." Fuuuuuck. "Did I just steal your first kiss? I'm so sorry!" But he could not help the little voice in the back of his brain telling him that this was adorable. Or the nicer one telling him that maybe it wasn't what he thought...maybe Lorne was just that sort of chaste person? "I didn't mean to..uh.." Well, it was a thing that happened. He'd have to deal with it, regardless. And so would Mr. Adorable Pajama Pants Lorne. frayedflower AUGH MONTY. MONTY NO. STAHP BEING SO CUTE. AUGH.

When Lorne snapped out of his stupor, he took a moment to go ahead and bury his face into his palms to try and pull it together. On one hand, hey, it was an effective way to cool down, sort of - but it really didn't do much to ward of Colin's little tirade, which didn't really help him any.
"No no no no no, " he finally let out in a flood as he peeked out from between his fingers, finally allowing them to drop with a sigh, a sheepish smile on his face as he tried to wave the whole thing off. "You're definitely not my first! Just, uh, my second - " That didn't help. That didn't make any of this sound any better! "I - I - I mean uh, the second person, I, um, I had a boyfriend for awhile in France, but that was awhile ago, and - oh god you don't need to know that, why am I even saying that - "
He slapped a hand over his face again and groaned, but he was laughing as he did. "I was just surprised. Those are the words I was going for. Oh my god..."

From the safety of Lorne's lap, Colin had forgotten - for the most part - about his ankle, but he'd shifted some thanks in part to having kissed his friend and then feeling like he'd stolen something important and it was aching again. This distracted him long enough for Lorne to explain a bit, which was good because they were both kind of knackered and didn't need to be feeling any extra guilt over silly things. "Oh thank god. I mean." Oh. His second. Better than his first? And apparently not literal second kiss, but second person, which in Colin's mind was a much better thing to be. "I was going for surprise, but if I'd stolen your first kiss...I'd feel really bad." Especially since I didn't know if you were into guys at all. It had been a risk, really - Lorne could have been repulsed and smacked him or shoved him out of his lap - but one he'd been willing to take if it got him to stop freaking out. "Now that we've got that sorted...we should probably get going. I don't want to get arrested for uh...public indecency. Which isn't happening but." Colin shrugged a bit and tugged at his companion's thin top. "You are in your pajamas with someone in your lap. People get ideas." The only ideas he had right then were getting home, getting them both settled...maybe eating something...and then wrapping his ankle. Or maybe wrapping his ankle first. "Like I said, you're welcome to crash at my place. I'd...prefer it if you did, actually."

Lorne would have shrugged it not for the Colin-bundle tucked securely in his arms. "Honestly, I mean - if you had just stolen it - I mean there are worse - you wouldn't have had any reason to feel bad, " he finished up real fast to try and keep that from getting any more weird, because even if he didn't mean it in a weird way it probably sounded weird. So Colin wasn't bad to look at. There wasn't anything totally wrong with saying that in a playful way.
... except that had totally been the opposite of playful and now the timing felt weird beyond belief and wow, he suddenly felt strong enough to stand again, look at that! Colin's insinuation didn't help at all with that, and he was turning a few interesting colors as he cracked a smile and laughed it off. Because it was a joke. A joke. "You're right. God, and I'm actually going to go here. Okay, okay, just, uh... hold on tight and please tell me if I'm hurting you at all okay?" he implored before he made an effort to stand.
His legs were wobbly even in spite of his second wind, and his back scraped audibly against the tree as he used it to help ease him onto his feet with Colin cradled against his chest. But a few steps later and Lorne started settling into a groove; it had been undeniably easier physically as Mont Blonc, but this was just easier all around. "Which way?"

Man, but this guy was too much. Too cute, even. Colin reached up to tug at an errant lock of Lorne's hair. "You have no idea how to flirt, do you?" Meanwhile, Colin did it like breathing. Even so, he could tell that Lorne meant what he was so awkwardly saying: he didn't mind and he wouldn't have minded even if it had been his first kiss ever. And that was nice to hear, it was nice to flirt with someone and have them respond, even if this was about as far as it would go. It had been the same with Methone, safe and warm. "Wait--" But Lorne was using the tree to push up before he could protest being lifted again, so he just hung on. "You know...I was kidding about being carried. Though I won't deny this is nice." His friend seemed to settle into moving and he was jostled less then, which was good because he was sore. Colin rattled off an address and then oriented himself before giving his friend actual physical directions. They had what would hopefully be an uneventful walk ahead of them, but at the end would be food, warmth, and shelter. "Guess it's a good thing I live on the ground floor, huh?"

Lorne's smile was wry, and with his face still flushed, he snickered. "What gave me away?" He sighed in an exaggerated kind of way, although his exasperation wasn't all played up. "I mean, uh, in my head, I, uh, sort of mean to say something... but... " He was just absolutely hopeless when it came to people, and that went doubly so with attractive people, and that went triply so for flirting with those attractive people, or trying. That was a lot of filters to get through! "Would you believe I used to be worse?" he asked, playfully cringing.
"I am not permitting you to walk on that ankle, " which was about as forceful and determined as Lorne - or Mont Blonc - had ever sounded, really. Still though, determination had its limits. By the time they were nearing Colin's place, his arms were aching terribly, he was sweating again, and he was trying to pretend he wasn't breathing hard. He wasn't out of shape, far from it, but it'd been a long night and he could definitely afford to do a little more work on his arms. "Best news... all night, Colin, " he made damn sure to smile. The last thing they needed was Colin getting it into his head to try walking again. Grin and bear it, Lorne, almost there!

"Well...it might have been the reaction to being kissed, for one." Colin's smile was tired but wide and warm as ever; his friend's reactions were heartwarmingly fresh. "It's okay, I like you anyway." He chuckled a bit and shook his head, "Well, flirting gets easier the more you do it. Don't worry, hang out with me for long and you'll be okay. Or you might just be cute enough to not have to worry about it." Either way, really. Well! Far be it from Colin to argue when a cute person was being forceful in a manner that didn't harm him! He could tell when Lorne hit a wall, when he was straining to keep the blond aloft - it wasn't like he was light by any means, he was made of muscle! - because he was sweating and moving slowly. "You could put me down...or not." because the dark-haired youth had given him a look. But finally, thankfully, they were home and Colin could open up his apartment and get Lorne to put him down. "Sit your a** on the couch and rest a minute. I insist." The stubbornness and chivalrous way his friend had struggled to carry him home would earn Lorne another kiss, but this time to the corner of his mouth. "I mean it. Sit. I'm gonna get us something to drink...and then we're going to sleep." There was a slight 'or else' tagged onto that; Colin would sit only for a minute and yank a dance bag from next to his couch, fishing an ankle brace and ace-bandage from within so he could put it on. Then he did just what he said he would and went to get two glasses of a fruit-vegetable juice blend before flopping onto the couch with Lorne while they drank it. "Cheers." frayedflower I R SORRY I MISSED THIS FOR SO LONG ;-;
