 Patches, a damlatian puppy, was inside of the pet store, looking around. He was about a year old and was looking for a home. There was an adoption fair going on right now and he was up for adoption. He had trouble with cats but loved other dogs and was great with kids, despite them always pulling on his ears. As he watched people go by him, he whimpered, trying to look cute, but to no avail. He laid down not sure what else to do with this situation. No one wanted a Dalmatian because they didn't have the room. Patches, being half grown, was fixed and everything. He was really calm and sweet but since Dalmatian's are known to be a little active, he wasn't sure he'd ever find his forever home.

 Michael smiled a little as he looked around at all the pets up for adoption. When he saw Patches he walked over to the little Dalmatian and smiled a bit at him. "Well you look perfect" He said then reached down to pet him lightly.

Patches' tail wagged as Michael pet him. Patches licked Michael’s hand softly. Unlike most Dalmatians, he was gentle and cared about what happened to others. Patches came from an abusive breeder. He was only fixed a year ago. So he was really big. Patches' tail continued to wag as Michael pet him. One of the ladies helping with the paperwork came over and asked "Are you interested in Patches? If so, come with me and I'll get your adoption papers signed and he'll be yours." Before Patches perked his ears happily.

Michael smiled at Patches as he wagged his tail. He then heard one of the ladies and stood up straight again. "Oh yes I am thank you" He said then followed after the lady to sign the papers.

Patches waited patiently for Michael's return. After the lady said "Alright. He's all yours." She then shook Michael's hand. Patches was given a collar and leash for the time being. He jumped onto Michael licking his new owner's chin with a wagging tail.

Michael laughed a bit as Patches jumped on him. "Good boy." He said as he lightly scratched behind Patches ears before putting him down and taking the leash. "Now lets get you home" He started walking to his car.

Patches walked with Michael towards his car. Once there, he got in without a hassle and laid down in the passenger seat panting a bit as he did. He didn't know if Michael had another dog or whatever, but Patches was hoping for a friend. He wouldn't mind if Michael would be his only new friend, but he was hoping to meet another dog without restrictions.

Michael petted Patches head lightly as he got in the car. He then turned it on and started to drive to his home. As they pulled into the driveway out ran a little girl with a young husky at her side. "You're back!" She said then noticed patches in the other seat. "With a friend for Ace!" She said excitedly as Michael stepped out of the car with Patches on the leash.

Patches' tail wagged as the little girl came out with the husky. Patches barked a bit before he ran over and sniffed at Ace a bit having managed to yank the leash from Michael's hand. He was strong for a puppy. Then again he was halfway grown. As he sniffed at Ace, he heard a small growl coming from the dog. Patches got nervous and laid on his back in submission.

Michael looked down at Ace. "Be good Ace. Patches here is gonna be living with us from now on. So I want you two to get along" He said then pulled lightly on the leash to tell Patches they were going inside.

Patches followed everyone into the house. He was amazed at how clean it was. Patches then perked his ears at the little girl with a wagging tail. He then nudged her hand wanting to play some before dinner time. He wanted to get to know his new family.

Anna looked down at Patches as he nudged her hand. "Oh do you wanna play?" She smiled at the dog happily.

Patches barked as his tail started wagging, before he started to dart back and forth once he was off the leash. He wanted to play with Ann and Ace but Ace didn't seem interested. Patches licked Anna's hand sweetly wanting to play with his new owner's daughter.

Anna giggled a little at the feel of patches's tongue. "Ok lets go!" He said excitedly as she lead the dog into the backyard.
