User ImageUser ImageYou take a path to the right and walk along a smooth, cobblestone street. This street leads you away from the laughter and yelling of guests playing games and arguing over prizes. The lighting becomes dim and you find yourself on long stretch of road pleasantly lit by lanterns, their soft yellow glow offering you ample lighting to see, but also giving the night a much calmer feel. Perhaps even... romantic? Is this feeling in your gut the blossoming of love, or is it your stomach's way of telling you to follow the delicious scents of food that carry gently on the breeze from farther down the street.

Terror makes his way slowly down Lantern Street, sticking closer to the outer edges of the path rather than down the middle, keeping space between himself and the other festival goers. He hadn't been to any place as noisy as this aside from Venezia's Carnival. This was... different... the Cursed thought to himself. He was sure he was going to get some nasty looks or challenges to a fight at some point, being what he was. His very presence would send chills down non-Cursed spines, but he hopes that as long as he keeps his distance for the most part and causes no trouble, that he'll be largely overlooked.

Eta floated over the smooth cobblestone street. He looked at the pretty lanterns, he knew so little about this world, but he wanted to learn all he could, and find the lady who he felt drawn to, so he could at least say hi. He looked at the booths of food, and the people about the street, curious about each one.

Something sinister lurked in the shadows with pale glowing eyes locked onto Terror. Once the little creature had made his way far enough down Lantern Street to be considered isolated, as the area was deserted for the time being, the sinister creature in the dark made it's move. With the clicking of many legs encased in a hard shell, the scorpion hybrid slid from the shadows and onto the middle of the smooth cobblestone path. Against his sinister aura, Kiatsu smiled widely with softened green eyes, his claws clicking in excitement and his tail shifting into a passive stance. "Why walk when you can ride?" The hybrid then shifted his multiple legs, lowering himself down towards the ground until his underside rested comfortably against it. One thing would be for certain is that with a creature as intimidating as Kiatsu accompanying him, they would likely be left alone, and any trouble that did start up; well, they would have the hybrid's mother-- the goddess Hoshigumo herself-- on their side... not to mention his father, who could be a rather terrifying creature himself.

Stefan had skipped all the hustle and bustle of both the game booths and the sweets shop. There were too many bodies crammed into one area and too many voices chattering for his liking. The demon had made his way to lantern street which, at this time, was pleasantly desolate. It had just recently occurred to him that his group may not be able to find him, though they had never specified any particular area in which to meet up at. With a small smirk, Stefan chose a nearby lantern post to lean back against, closing his eyes and folding his arms across his chest. Shade would find him-- Shade always found him, it would just be a matter of whether Shade brought the other two along with him or not.

Terror felt the aura of another Cursed close by. He casually glances around, not seeing anything at first until Kiatsu chose to show himself. Terror stops walking and stands in place as Kiatsu makes his way over to him, watching as the scorpion lowers himself to rest on the ground in front of him in surprise. "Friend Kiatsu wishes for this one to ride on his back?" He asks, granted, he'd done so before, but he hadn't been expecting the gesture to be repeated. Green eyes alighting with happiness at seeing his newer friend here in this strange place, and at the offer of another ride on Kiatsu's back, Terror scampers over and carefully climbs on, doing his best to make sure he didn't hurt Kiatsu with his fumbling around. "This one thanks friend Kiatsu. How has friend Kiatsu been since this one last saw him?"

The lanterns along the street flickered in the moonlight as Kardiá floated along the cobblestone path. The low chatter of the other Pockettu set him at ease, and he proceeded to admire the dazzling moonlight. He gazed at the couples and sent his wishes of prosperity, as he always did. He had seen many couples at Syrridan's shrine, and they all appeared so content. He smiled to himself, for he believed everyone deserves that happiness. He glanced back at the moonlight cheerfully, but this sent him crashing into another Pockettu! "Oh goodness, you have my sincerest apologies. I became distracted, I promise it won't happen again." But as he extended his hand, and brought his gaze to the other Pockettu, his heart skipped a beat. This Pockettu was strikingly beautiful—more so than he had ever encountered aside from his beloved god. He immediately felt a strong wave of guilt for having disturbed her stroll, and wondered if he could ever make it up to her.

Taki smiled as she walked down the cobble street, she loved the look of the lanterns in the night, the only thing that would make this better would be finding Roman, among all these people. Taki had her hair over her eye with the scar, shy about others looking at it. She looked around, hoping to spot him soon..

Bhinor walked down the street with the cotton candy in one hand and the dango in the other. He nibbled on the cotton candy, his nose twitching every time it brushed his nose. "This tastes like nothing but sugar. So you don't like really sweet things Farrow?" He asked with a tilt of his head. The patchwork rat swayed his tail back and forth slowly while eying the many lanterns and festival decorations. "Nygh...what do you think of this set up? Seems kinda boring. You should have seen the carnival when it was all lit up. It was about as dim as this, but with a lot more noise. And rides. I really wish I'd gotten a chance to get on the ferris wheel." Bhinor prattled on as he walked. His head tilting to look at Farrow to make certain his company wasn't looking like he was going to roll his eyes in regret over his choice. In doing so Bhinor missed a low hanging lamp and walked into it, the paper surface bumped against his head, causing the rat to leap back in surprise.

Where ever Taki went, Roman was never too far away. As a wolf that had no established home or job, he had nothing but time. Time to follow his mate interest. Time to watch her, watch over her, and at times like this, wonder about her. Roman looked around at the lanterns decorating the walkway. Unable to help himself, Roman approached one of the small hanging lanterns and tugged it from it's display post. He held it carefully between his hands and peeked inside at the carefully positioned light. With a slight wag of his tail he padded up behind Taki, and held the lantern in his hand near her. "Where are we going?" He asked softly.

A dimly lit street was perfect for it's next visitor. From a side entrance the shadows wobbled and began to move of their own violation. Darkening and growing more solid then natural, the shadows curled into a rather ornate set of wire gates. Darkness formed flowers budded and blossomed over the front of the gates before they swung open. From the nothingness between the shadow formed gates, Antarmur'ss stepped forwards. He had changed his usual attire for something far different. The Darkness god wore a full tuxedo of dark black. With a purple silk shirt, black tie, and purple gemstone cufflinks Antarmur'ss cut a very modern look despite his mask and decorated horns. His hair was bound back in a simple black ribbon so only his bangs were free over his face. Antarmur'ss looked slowly up and down the street, before he turned slowly back to the gate he had created. Lifting his hand, he held it in offering to the gateway, a slow smile forming on his face as he waited.

Kiatsu chuckled and rested his large claws against the ground to balance himself out while the Cursed creature climbed onto his back. He would have used his tail to help offer Terror some stability but he did not want to risk even the smallest poke from it's poisoned tip. "As you are my first friend, I will always humor you with a ride," he chuckled out quietly and waited a moment until Terror had appropriately situated himself. He then rose slowly to his full height and, avoiding the non-Cursed around them, began to lazily make his way down the cobblestone street, hard-shelled legs clicking lightly against the smooth surface. "I have been good, less lonely knowing that I have a friend around now. Oh! I see you met my Papa, he was the man you got the treats from. Was it good? I was going to sneak up on you there but it was a little too crowded, so I waited here instead."

Farrow kept pace with his rat companion, not seeming to mind the endless chatter that was flapping from Bhinor's tireless jaws. It would be typical behavior for the barbaric man to become annoyed, violent even, when in such close quarters with an unfamiliar being, in unfamiliar surroundings. However he felt that Bhinor posed no threat to him and being stuck here beside the patchwork man was better than being stuck here on his own. As far as Farrow was concerned, his companion knew just as much about these strange lands as anyone else... then again, the rat was the only creature he had bothered to interact with thus far. "No, I think not. I prefer meaty food. Juicy and just a little bloo--" The white-haired man had began to answer as soon as he had the opportunity, but the patchwork rat was suddenly jumping back in surprise. In Farrow's mind, this registered as a retreat from an ambush. His red eye narrowed into a cold glare and immediately his knife was drawn, his body pressing between Bhinor and the lantern and, the poor paper lantern, cut down in it's paper prime. He had acted with surprisingly quick and precise reflexes for a man with only one available eye to use, and as if hacking the defenseless lantern down was not enough, he lifted his foot and stomped his boot down onto it, crushing it into the ground. "Be careful!" the man's voice came out in a rough rumble, the dagger finding it's way back to it's sheath as he turned on his heels to face Bhinor, standing over the lifeless and crushed 'body' of the paper lantern, his arms settling across his chest.

Caius had decided to answer Hoshigumo's invitation to her festival. Partly due to curiosity of course, and partly because the Desert god hadn't done much in the way of traveling outside of his isolated domain or socializing with others. This of course meant he didn't know much about the other gods outside of what rumors circulated to any that might travel to his own city. Which, to be honest hadn't been many, as he was relatively newly arrived and it wasn't exactly the easiest city to travel to for most pockettu. He decided to bring his head of harem, Aida - which to be completely honest was oh so much more than that, as she handled many of the affairs in his palace, to say the least.

And so the two had arrived together, in a carriage led by two manticores (Caius had wanted to use sphinxes, but had heard of a God resembling them and didn't want to offend if he showed up as well), instead of his usual method of transportation in his own realm (a whirlwind of sand, of course). They had left their 'ride' a little ways away from the festival itself as to not bother or scare other patrons before heading towards the aptly named Lantern Street. Caius was dressed a little more formally than normal -- instead of his normal outfit he was wearing a black twin-tailed coat with gold filigree and a dark red lining inside, a white silk shirt and black pants and boots. He had allowed Aida to add a few shiny touches to him, including a gold sash-style belt and a golden scorpion charm necklace around his neck. It had taken a bit of work to avoid more jewelry and even ideas of makeup from his fairy companion.

Taki smiled warmly when she heard Roman's voice, she was still wearing her normal dark clothing, but looking around she wondered if she could find a pretty kimono to buy. She laughed at his direct word, Taki liked that about Roman. She replied "We are going where ever we like I suppose, though I was thinking of looking and seeing if there might be a shop that sells kimonos here, what do you think??" She asked him calmly waiting for his answer.

Aida felt accomplished. She had helped convince Caius that attending the festival was important to his position as a god. In addition, she had offhandedly flaunted her position to the others in the harem by being the one he took as his date to this event. Bragging without actually using words was always the most satisfying, and hardest to accomplish in her mind. Aida wore a gown of similar design as she normally did. Save with color changes. Her dress was a sleek black with a dark red sash to match Caius color choices. Around her neck she wore a coiled golden serpent with ruby eyes, with the head dangling provacatively upon her chest as if it were meant to stare at anyone would would dare glimpse in that direction. Aida had her hand slipped demurely around Caius lower arm. They had arrived a little while ago, but Aida's disinterest in childish games and the cultures off desserts dissuaded Caius from escorting her to those areas of the festival. Instead she had spent the time observing and noting many things she intended to bring up to Caius later. Like the tolerance of the filthy cursed creatures that wandered about the Lantern Street. Aida made no attempt to point them out, as she felt only a fool would miss them here. Instead she looked to the decorations. "Curious lanterns." She stated with a flicker of her wings. "They must not get much rain here either if they utilize such materials as paper for structure."

Roman shifted his step some and shuffled the lantern from one hand to the other as Taki asked him what he thought of a kimono. "I think I want to know if you intend to wear it or make me wear it before I answer that question." The wolf bluntly remarked before attempting to slip his hand into Taki's. His eyes shifted away as he did so, just in case she pulled her hand away from his own. The wolf could then pretend the attempt hadn't even been made.

Terror allows the smile to form on his usually featureless face again as Kiatsu speaks, nodding in agreement with the idea of being less lonely knowing there was another friend around. He blinks in surprise as the other speaks of his father. "The fluffy one with the sharp teeth is friend Kiatsu's father? This one did not realize that. This one thought he was nice. The little green tentacle treats were good tasting. And yes, there were alot of others around there. They must all like friend Kiatsu's father's treats too."

Taki laughed "I was thinking for me, unless you have some desire to wear one, perhaps put on white face make up" she chuckled "That certainly would be interesting" She paused a moment "I think they do make them for men if you want one as well" she said with a nod..

Savin practically pushed the taller male ahead, forcing him to take steps. "Come on you ********. I want to see what this gig is all about. Can't do that with you dragging your sorry a**." The one-eyed punk sneered and momentarily stopped pushing the other. All he got in return was Faust just standing there with no intention to proceed forwards. This is when Savin took the opportunity to ram his shoulder into the other's back, making the man stumble forwards. "Move it cow!"

Faust stumbled forwards and quickly whipped around and grabbed the shorter male by his collar. "Tch... you're lucky we're friends." He roughly set the other down and stormed off ahead. He could practically hear Savin's s**t-eating grin from behind and grumbled under his breath. Honestly he didn't know why he remained friends with Savin. Well, at the end of the day he was a good guy. So... well that answered that question.

Savin grinned and followed after the other. It wasn't long until he spotted a man matching the description of the one they were to meet. "Huh, that him?"

Faust squinted in the direction Savin pointed. "Uh..." All he saw was a blobby blur. His vision wasn't the best and was getting worse each year. "...Sure?"
