It had been over a year since he had buried this place in his heart. Since he had buried his sisters. Buried this horrific event in his life. But as it was now everything in his life seemed to be a whirlwind. Zascha knew not which was his path was heading.

He had no direction.

Coming to Deus he had hope of finding direction again, after his life had pretty much been ripped out from under him. He had found love and a few friends but there was nothing really for him to do but putter around and waste his time on nothing. Some days he even wondered if perhaps he had joined Deus out of desperation. Had he thought it out clearly enough? Or had he just rushed in head first without thinking of what his life might turn in to? A cloud of stagnation seemed to have settled over the Moon Hunter.

But after all this time he finally decided to return. Decided to try and reconcile himself with this place that haunted his dreams.

Thick black smoke filled the air at the train station. The sound of the whistle blowing loudly. It was a familiar atmosphere as Zascha stepped off the train on to the platform. From here it would be a bit of a journey but he was not too concerned by it. This little corner of the world was still fairly rural. Only one road lead to the village. He would catch a ride on one of the trucks heading up there. Bouncing about in the back as he watched the trees whip by on the journey up the road.

The smell of burning wood signaling that they were just about to arrive. Even though it was summer time it was still chilly here. The village tucked away in the mountains was always cold. Even on sunny days such as this.

As the truck came to a stop he clambered out, giving his thanks to the driver before heading into the village. Nothing had changed. The look, the people. They were all the same. But Zascha? Zascha had changed. Those he recognized from his past didn't seem to recognize him. Looks of curiosity and suspicion were cast his way. But he was not here for anyone but himself.

He would stop in at the local general store, grab some supplies then head into the forest.
