Pharos was doing better and better with patrolling and being an active part of the war and learning more about her wonder and herself as Pharos. She learned about the code and transcendence in the very short time and hoped to soon make strides to reaching out to her teammates.
Currently she stood on a rooftop looking out over the shopping district, people were still out, but only a few. Some nights Destiny City turned into something of a ghost town. Really anyone that stayed out at night was asking for it at this point in time. Pharos was out to protect those who decided to risk it.
"That's right Destiny City," she said into the night air, barely more than a whisper, "Pharos is on the job to protect you. One day you'll not have to fear the night."
She giggled to herself feeling a little like batman.

Patrolling was going well, but it was so boring most of the time. Rutile brought his hand to his head to scratch at his scalp as he waited. Summer was here, practically, and the temperature was climbing. He was definitely not suited for hot nights or days in this outfit. The tall, lanky man heaved a heavy sigh as he continued to wander, the other hand shoved in his pants pocket. Rutile felt, rather than heard, more Chaos energy and he stopped mid step to determine what level it was. Well. It was about his own, maybe. Maybe he was a tad stronger? He wasn't sure. It definitely wasn't higher than him. With a hum, he turned toward that energy and jumped upon a billboard in the shopping district to try to figure out who it was. "Come out and play~" He called out over the wind, smirking. This could prove to be fairly fun.

Pharos felt someone approaching, a member of the other side of this war. A shiver road down her spine as a breeze blew over her words were carried on the wind to her, light not really audible. She frowned and turned looking for the other, moving back away from the edge of the roof.
"Who's there," she called out, "hopefully you're not causing any trouble whoever you are!"
She moved closer towards the other egde of the rooftop her frown still present. She wasn't really sure she like this senario.

Oooh, a woman. His grin got bigger and he jumped toward the voice before he spotted her. Wait a second. Was this a woman? The voice sounded girly. His green eyes squinted as he looked her over, landing a bit away from her with a soft tap of his shoes and jingle of the belts that encased him. "Well you're not Chaos energy at all, are you." He didn't know this energy. It felt similar to a senshi, but it wasn't, so he chalked it up to Chaos, but it...wasn't. This was starting to get so confusing.

Pharos jumped slightly with the other landed near him eyes wide before relaxing as he didn't automatically attack her. "No, I'm not chaos, I am a Squire of Chronos. It a part of my duty to defend from and help defeat chaos, same as any other knight."
She gave a small grin. "Are you new then? You must be if you have not met one of my brother or sister knights."
She summoned her staff holding it close to her ready in case he turned out to not be as friendly as he was currently acting. She liked to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but she also didn't want to be attacked and over powered.
"We're like the good version of you all, so I've been told."

When her weapon was summoned, Rutile got on the defensive and ended up surging forward to make the first move. He hadn't been planning on attacking her first, but if it's a fight she wants, well, she'd get it. He swung with his left fist, aiming for her face, trying to see how good she was at fighting. "You wanted to talk? Shouldn't have pulled your weapon!"

Pharos jumped back throwing her staff out to block the attack from the other. New night time lesson, do not draw your weapon first! She stumbled slightly because her footing was a bit unsure and she was in heels, still not use to them years later.
"Too cautious," she sputtered quickly, "lesson learn." The latter words coming out in something of a squeak.
She gripped the staff tight and swung it hard at the other's side, "Stop. I don't want to fight you. This is so unnecessary!"
Still she had not choice, but to defend herself, lest he really hurt her.

He didn't believe her when she said she didn't want to fight. Yeah, it was unnecessary, but right now it's what it came down too. Rutile scanned the way she held herself and smirked. This girl knew absolutely nothing about fighting. He could easily win if she didn't have magic. So, he surged her again, quicker this time before her staff swung out. Rutile turned, the head of her staff grazing his side, causing him to hiss a bit before he jumped forward, a leg flying at her side this time. "Too late! You drew your weapon."

It wasn't that Pharos knew little about fight, not that she knew lots, but was that she was caught off guard when people wanted to fight for seemingly not reason at all. Yes, she summoned her weapon, but it was a stuff with a flower petal fan at the top.
Her staff only managed to graze his side, but she was rewarded for her troubled with a kick to the ribs. She cried out stumbling, barely managing to keep her balance. The ache was going to make it hard for her to even use her staff so she let the weapon go back to where it came from.
She moved into a stance though she doubted she looked and kind of threatening to him. "It's never too late," she yelled at him, "you didn't have to attack me, that was you being insecure. You don't have to keep this up now, that's your choice."
She balled up her little fist and tried to shuffle away and around him.

Insecure? He wasn't some child who needed coddling. He was very secure in who he was and the cause he was fighting for. It might differ from most Negaverse agents, but his was a noble cause! Rutile growled hard then snorted. Insecure. Who was she to judge him? He let her scamper away and then just stalked towards her, fists balled. "Who are you to tell me what I am? You don't know me, you don't know what I'm doing." He kept walking toward her, his pace picking up into a run as she tried to get away.

Pharos frowned, "I'm just saying what I see. This who encounter is unnecessary. I mean you no harm and I didnt engage you despite summoning my weapon. You felt threatened and acted according to that."
"It's okay to be insecure," she muttered, "but you shouldnt let that make a mess of things. Leave me in peace."
She could feel that we would be after her again in a moment, but she didnt think it would benefit her to try to run at the moment. She stopped and held her ground brace for whatever he had in store for her. She felt helpless, it always came to this against another person wanting to kill her. She didn't really want to fight.
Something had to give though, or she wasn't going to make it in this war. Maybe she could get some advice on the matter. "Leave me," she ground out more forcefully.

Well, he wasn't ready to kill her. Maybe bruise her a bit, pummel her tiny little face, but not kill her. He growled as she stood still, the smirk on his face growing more and more twisted as he swung his fist just before that forceful 'Leave me' left her lips. His fist stopped just short of her face, his eyes widened a little and he just waited. "Tell me why I should?" His hand was shaking a bit as it hovered there before he dropped it. "Give me one good reason." He didn't want to fight all the time. He talked to a few senshi without fighting them. But they hadn't pulled a weapon or magic, or even did anything more than tensed up. (Which, he supposed, was understandable. Given they were supposed to be like lions and hyenas.)

She blinked and almost fell as the fist stopped short of her face and she was told to give him a good reason. Her brain was racing and she was frantically pulling for anything that came to her.
Finally she simply said, "mercy." She was quite for just a moment after that before saying, "its a good incentive for drawing interest. Doesn't your side want to draw more people in."
She was really pulling here, suggestion she might join the negaverse, which would never happen, but at the moment she didn't want to fight and she'd certainly assess the situation next time and not just summon her weapon.
"People are likely to want to be an ally to someone who punched them in a face," she said softly backing away from the other.

Rutile balled his fists tight as he waited. She wasn't going to give him a good reason, was she? Just as his patience was about to break, she spoke and said 'Mercy'. He stared at her, confused, half pissed off and then waited to hear what she had to say afterward. People would want to be an ally? That was a stupid reason. He snorted and stepped closer, boots tapping slowly upon the surface they stood. "Fine. But if I see you again? I won't show you mercy." His voice was low and dangerous sounding, even as his face was soft and almost apologetic. He'd let her go. They spared, both landed blows and honestly? He wanted to just not talk about his fight tonight. He didn't win. It wasn't a loss, no, but he didn't win, so it was a bit humiliating. Most of the senshi and pages seemed to be younger than him so... losing to them hurt his pride and ego. "Just get out of my sight."

Pharos looked at him wide eyed surprised that her little reasoning actually worked. "I will remember this," she said softly despite the threat and smiled at him.
She backed up, not sure she should turn her back on him, but knowing eventually she would need to jump down. She backed up to the very edge before turning and jumping down and taking off full speed away from the negaverser and their altercation.
