It was a bright summer's day and Honeysuckle's garden was in full bloom. It was very large, filled with all sorts of flowering plants. While the large draft primarily concentrated on small blooming flowers he also kept blooming bushes and trees. Those took more of his unicorn magic and energy than his delicate charges. That was the reason the chocolate coated stallion was curled up under his favorite tree taking a nap. His long luscious hair spread out like a black river of silk. His ear gave a twitch as a buzzing bee landed then took off. He invited such creatures to his garden, letting nature work her own magic to ensure his flowers regrew and populated more of the large land he owned.

His cottage was buried in foliage this time of year, trees in full leaf and bushes sprouting all around. The vines that climbed the stone walls were also in full bloom making it look more part of the garden rather than a residence. Having tended to his trees Honey took a well deserved nap, the soft green grass his bed and the gently breeze keeping him cool as he snoozed.

Now most phonies when half asleep barely notice a little filly wandering into their yard but Honey had a sense about him. He could tell when something new was around. But he was also still a little tired. Opening one eye he spotted a bright pink spot that hadn't been there before. Then it moved. Ah, someone new to meet, he thought, as he had not seen someone with that color coat before. And give then size it was a foal.

Continuing to stay still he watched the foal come into few, a filly and a unicorn from the looks of it. Ah, he gave a soft smile. That grey was familiar to him. Very few phonies had grey in them and one particularly honest phony had that coloration. He heard through the flower vine Hard Truths had gotten married and was now a father, this must be one of his brood.

The little one seemed entranced by his plants, all in full bloom and showing their prettiest colors. He waited and watched, wondering what the little one would do in this vast plant world of his.

Honey couldn't help but smile as the little one spoke to the flowers. A true lover of plants. He also spoke to his plants regularly, though almost as much as he spoke to other phonies. He listened for a bit, enjoying seeing another with a love for the plant kingdom as much as himself. But then she talked about taking his flowers away. He enjoyed teach but his plants were part of his business so he couldn't have the little one running off. At least she didn't pick it, she was obviously going to transplant the flower.

"It might be a bit lonely without it's friends," he spoke softly. His voice was a deep baritone, almost like a purr. "So I'm afraid it will have to stay here little one."

As he spoke he began to raise up, still a big sluggish from his warm nap. He smiled softly at the young filly, "I am glad I'm not the only one who speaks so lovingly to flowers. My sisters poke fun at me sometimes." He lowered his head to better look at the pink filly, his long black hair pooling at his feet. "Do you like flowers as well?"
