You will make an introductory post and roll a 100-sided dice during your introductory post. This post is basically you walking onto the stage once more with your Pokemon in a Pokeball or next to you.

Then your opponent will do likewise, also rolling a 100-sided dice. Person with the highest roll goes first.

HP/Attack bonuses count if your Pokemon has them. Pokemon that cannot evolve any further have 1000 HP. Pokemon that can evolve one more time have 900 HP. Pokemon that can evolve two more times have 800 HP.

Now for every attack post, you roll one 6-sided dice which will let your opponent know how to react to your post. 1 = your attack misses, 2-5 = your attack hits for 100 damage, 6 = your attack hits for 200 damage. Even stuff that normally does not do damage - such as growl - will do a kind of unseen damage in that it will hurt your opponent's dignity or whatnot.

Super effective/resistance/immunity/whatever do not count. Although please don't say you punch a Ghost Pokemon in the face. That's just not elegant - try to make all attacks seem reasonable and keep beauty/grace/cuteness/etc in mind. Also try to humiliate your opponent if possible - you are making your own Pokemon look good and your opponent's Pokemon look bad!

At the end of every post, please include your Pokemon's HP.

After 5 posts from both sides (10 posts in total not including the intro posts), time will be called and the battle will end regardless of if a Pokemon has fainted or not. You will be scored on both how much damage you have done, your general performance throughout the battle (so RP your best!), and your creativity throughout the battle.

A response post from each side after the 10 damage posts in response to a KO or finished time is allowed to bring the battle to a culmination. Judges will post shortly after to let you know who won.

If you do not make a post within 24 hours (subjected to change) of your opponent's last post, you are automatically disqualified and your opponent wins the battle. We will then alert you of your next battle.

Gormlaith hadn't expected such a high score and silently cheered when the scores were announced. "Great job Vana!" She cooed picking up the Eevee and swinging her around. She then made sure she was still impeccable looking. She returned her to her pokeball and headed back to the stage.

On the stage she smiled at Arissa. She seemed to be against her a lot in contests. She had to approve of the entrance, it was well done. She tossed up Vanadis' pokeball and the Eevee appeared in a shower of sparkles. Vanadis did a small somersault in the air before landing on the stage.

"Veee!" She called out. She then eyed her opponent. Her opponent was bigger than her and she was going to use that to her advantage. There was also the fact that he was a male so she would use that to her advantage too.

Kumirou hovered above the battlefield, fanning his wings gently to keep himself aloft. He cocked his head slightly as he watched Vanadis's performance, then serenely cooed greeting.

Arissa thought elegant would be a nice way to go for this battle. It would certainly be difficult for them to match an Eevee in cuteness, so they would have to try a different approach to stand out. "So he wants to play? Let's give him a nice place for it! Wonder Room!" she said.

Kumirou looked down at Vanadis and chirped a gentle call that sounded like 'Just you wait a moment.' He then flapped his wings to float up a bit, with small lights in many colors winking into view along his wings. He rose up to two or three times his previous height, then tilted into a glide. When he'd nearly reached the wall separating the battlefield from the stands, he turned to glide just inside it, tilting down his wings as he did. The small lights began sliding down his wings, dripping off their tips to patter along the walls.

The little lights left streaks of color along the walls, which quickly expanded in shimmering arcs to coat both the walls and the floor. Where the arcs overlapped each other, the colors blended and swirled into each other. By the time Kumirou finished his circuit of the arena and turned back towards the center, the entire battlefield was coated in a bowl of bright light, shifting continuously like a kaleidoscope.

Arissa watched the Eevee create many copies of itself as is played around. Normally that would make it very hard to target accurately, but they happened to have a handy counter for that. “Kumirou, why don’t we give her something to play with? Swift!”

Kumirou craned his neck back until he was looking straight up, then sang one long, clear note. Little stars winked into view on the ceiling high above. There were just a few at first, then more and more appeared until they were clustered as thickly as the night sky on a cloudless night. The Altaria sang out again, and the stars began to fall, leaving faint glowing trails in their wake.

Kumirou wove in and out of the stars as they fell, flicking many of them with wings or tail to send them spinning as they continued to descend. As they hit the ground, the stars that fell straight down burst into small showers of sparks that soon faded away. The shifting colors that were still on the floor responded by sending out rings of brighter light from the points of impact, expanding like waves from a pebble dropped into a pond. But the stars that were spinning hit the ground rolling and skittered along the arena floor, each twirling in a loop or two before they curved towards one of the Eevees scattered around the arena.

(Whoop, just realized I forgot to roll in my last post. I don't think Swift auto-hits in contests.)

Gormlaith wished that Vanadis wasn't up against a flying pokemon. It made it so much harder to use Tickle against them. She acted relieved when Vanadis stopped crying. "There you go dear! See he doesn't mean it!" She called out wondering how to make Kumirou look bad.

Vanadis also wished Kumirou would come closer so she could take her revenge. However she allowed his song to soothe her or at pretended that it did. Her fake tears slowly stopped and she sniffled a couple of times. It was no act when she stared transfixed by the pillowy mounds of Mist on the ground.

An idea came to her as she stared at them. If she couldn't get the Altaria to come down to her she would have to go to him! She bounded for the mound of Mist that had landed nearby and dove straight into it. The mist obscured her form but cast a shadow showing that something was there. Deciding to use this to her advantage she used Double Team to move from the different mounds on the floor.

Soon there were shadowy figures hiding in the Mist and some were even up in the Mist in the air. Vanadis had been jumping up into them to a) see how high she could jump; b) leave the images all around to confuse Kumirou and the audience; c) to showcase some athletic ability as she was visible for a short moment when she jumped out of the mist on the ground heading to the one up in the air.

Hiding back down on the ground while the Double Team mist shadows were all around, Vanadis waited for Kumirou to fly closer to the ground so she could pounce.

"Are you playing hide and seek now Vanadis? Maybe Kumirou will play this game with you." Gormlaith called out wondering what her Eevee was up to.

(Rolling. For my last post Gaia just did the thing where I try to post and it says I'm not logged in, even though I was in another window. I managed to get the post back and just posted it quick before I lost it again, so I forgot to re-select the dice roll option.)

As soon as Kumirou felt Vanadis's paws on his back, he instinctively snapped out his wings to their full length and held them there, in order to keep himself aloft despite the sudden extra weight. It was just as well that his wings were effectively locked into place, because that was the main reason he was able to keep from making a fool of himself when the tickling started. He shivered from head to tail, but managed to keep his wings where they were, though it caused his gliding flight path to take a few random turns. He couldn't resist the urge to laugh, but turned it into a series of musical, burbling trills.

Arissa thought he was managing well, but they needed to get that Eevee off him. "She must be getting tired by now. Let's give her a nice bed with Mist."

Kumirou looked down and blew out a puff of air which emerged as a small ball of mist. It fell rapidly and expanded just as quickly, until it was roughly the diameter of a king-sized bed and three times the height. Kumirou dove for it, but turned up just above it and curved into the beginning of a loop-the-loop. Yet at the peach of the arc he stalled, halting his motion and hanging upside-down for a long moment. It was highly unlikely the little Eevee would be able to keep her grip at this trick, but the mist was thick enough to break her fall on the way down, so she should land gently enough. But not thick enough for her to fall right on the top; she'd be hidden from view within the cloud.

Kumirou took advantage of this to keep the eyes on him for a little while longer. Before he could fall, he spun himself right-side up and dove back towards the ground. Near the bottom he turned to fly along the outside of the cloud, the wind from his wings blowing the mist so that it followed his flight path. He flew in a narrowing spiral, shaping the mist so that it formed a twisted inverted cone, like a giant soft-serve ice cream. When he reached the top and flew straight up, the last bit of mist even curved over itself into a little curl. Kumirou looked down at this and decided to add one final touch. He trilled again, and a large star formed in the air in front of him, spinning in place. He grabbed it with his beak, then flew down to place it right at the tip of his cloudy creation, letting go just as the final buzzer sounded to signify the end of the match.
