xxxxx⇾Lᴏʏᴀʟ: If you have made Gid's friendship, he will go as far as possible to protect and maintain you. He is fiercely dedicated to a small circle of people, so if anything changes between them, he reacts poorly.

Gideon was born near Cardiff, Wales. He was a super happy kid with all the potential in the world, the best parents, a wonderful family... but a few months after his third birthday, everything changed. He was on a car ride with his Auntie Cinwyd, but there was a terrible car crash, resulting in Cinwyd dead and Gideon barely hanging on. With several surgeries and years of physical therapy, Gid learned to walk with crutches, thus regaining what little independence he could have. As he got older, he got better at walking and thus allowed himself to make friends... or what few he could. He was bullied all through primary school, and only found reprieve when he started at a place called Hogwarts.

In school he made lots of friends, joined clubs, and was even able to join a sports team! Not even as the manager! An actual player! It was literally a magical world! In his second year, after studying to learn sign language, one of his best friends decided to stop talking to him, thus sending Gid into upset. Luckily, his other friends were there to support him. As the year went on, Gid and Rhys made friends again, and they carried on. Third year was a pretty calm year... except that masquerade dance where Jazzy kissed Gid.... Fourth year led to the dating of Gid and Jazzy, thus boosting Gid's confidence to a high. After the summer of fifth year, a year that promised so much with his new titles of Vice Captain and Prefect was a huge letdown. Rhys decided (again) that he wasn't going to talk to Gid, and Jazzy seemed completely disinterested, thus dropping Gid's self-esteem into the loo. Shortly after taking Rhys' Transfiguration notes and trying to hide, Gid and Rhys got in a fight that ended with the two expressing their affection. Though for Gideon, Rhys had been in a panic attack and had not heard any of it. Gid went to his room to de-stress, then broke up with Jazzy, though she hadn't been upset. A week later, the boys made up and decided to start dating. All through sixth year, he worked his tail to the bone to be there for all his friends, teammates, and classes, which proved easier than expected. His back hurt like hell with no reason, until he got knocked a concussion in Quidditch and Rhys secretly had him examined. Unfortunately, that meant that his mum dragged him to the doctor when he returned, only to find out he'd need another surgery on his spine. That thought in mind, Gid firmly decided he wasn't going to tell a soul, and managed to hide it, however thinly, from his friends.
During Seventh Year, Gid found it harder and harder to hid his previous surgery, though he'd valliently attempted it. He hid his pain with muggle painkillers and lied to avoid his pain. Unfortunately, stress and pain don't make for a good combination, and over Christmas break at Hogwarts he overdosed on his medication (on accident, of course). He was discovered by Kyson and Contessa, a struggle ensued in their attempts to drag him to the hospital wing, but luckily two conscious people tend to be quite a bit smarter than one very intoxicated Gideon. Once settled into a bed the truth broke out, and Gid could feel naught but shame.

As soon as he graduated, Gid was sent back to the hospital for a correctional surgery. Luckily, the way he messed up his back allowed them to fix it a bit easier. After a few months, he applied for a job at a law firm and was accepted. With a job secured, he got a nice two bedroom townhouse for himself and Rhys. One room was set up as Rhys' workshop, allowing him to pursue his work as well. A year or so into their adulthood, Gid proposed to Rhys with all the awkward flair he had, and somehow got an acceptance. Now he's nearly completed his internship at work, and is doing his best to plan a wedding in his free time. Gideon and Rhys married on a beautiful summer afternoon surrounded by family and friends. (Okay, maybe not surrounded, but there were still a fair few people there) They decided to keep their last names, but Gideon is happy to have finally married his best friend and love. Sadly, a while later, Gideon had to put to sleep Scoots, the dog he had had since she was born. It hurt his heart, but he was glad she wasn't in pain.
