The force of the blow slammed Merope against her trainer's railing. Some of her teammates crowed encouragement, though her trainer did not stir (likely because of the fluffy Mightyena dozing over her face).
Puffing herself up, she went back into the fray.

Merope fell to the floor with a sound resembling a damp sock. Metis, her fellow Bibarel, had managed to figure out how Poké Balls worked with her hand-like paws and was able to recall Merope.
