Gormlaith was in the waiting area with Vanadis out on a grooming table. She was dressed in a frilly light pink dress that had a big ribbon in the back. The ribbon was colored similar to a Sylveon’s colors and matched the one around Vanadis’ neck. She was just finishing up brushing Vanadis and making sure the bow was on her Eevee just right. “Alright Vana today is your day to shine. I know our routine isn’t the most flashy or complex but you have to time things just right otherwise it’ll look off.” She said practically cooing over the little pokemon. Vanadis gave her a small ‘vee’ in return and concentrated on what she needed to do.
Hearing their names being called Gormlaith scooped up Vanadis. Usually she has them return to their pokeballs so they can make a big entrance but not this time. She walked out onto the stage and set Vanadis down. The curtains then opened and the crowd gave a small cheer. Gormlaith waved to the crowd and Vanadis gave a small bow. “Hey Vanadis isn’t this a good time to show everyone your new ball?” She called out loud enough for everyone to hear. A loud ‘Eeeee-vvvveeee’ was heard while Vanadis cutely pranced around the stage acting all excited. Gormlaith produced the ball that was light blue with snowflakes on it. She then crouched down and rolled the ball to Vanadis.
Vanadis caught the ball and began to bat it about the stage. All the while she gave cute and playful growls. She finally nudged it back to Gormlaith. Now the show would really begin. Moving faster than anyone could see she left several after-images of herself about the stage in various poses of playfulness. She even made one off by itself looking like it was sad and forgotten. She then stopped using Double Team before Gormlaith. The ball was rolled to her and she batted it around again. However this time she made it appear as though she was playing with all of the after-image Eevees. She would roll the ball to one of the Eevee images and the quickly move to take its place before the ball reached there leaving an image of herself where she had started.
As she did this she would occasionally return to the forgotten Eevee to make sure that image didn’t fade. She would even change it so instead of just looking sad it began to pout and then get mad as it was continuously forgotten in all of the playing. This continued for a few minutes longer and the crowd began to grow bored. Before they could get really restless and perhaps complain that they’d rather see Kobold, there was a loud pop! The ball had been rigged to pop after a certain amount of time. When this happened the ball was by the forgotten Eevee. It had its paw on the popped ball as though it had popped it in anger. Vanadis was on the other side of the stage from the forgotten Eevee image and suddenly she began wailing. Big tears flowed from her eyes as she cried over her popped ball. Before anyone could focus on her she had moved leaving an image of a crying Eevee. She went to the other images and made them all cry. Some were posed laying on the ground crying, others had their heads throw back in a wail, another was on the ground covering its head, and another had a paw up to its eyes crying.
Returning to the forgotten Eevee image she played the part of the Eevee who had been jealous and ruined the fun. She acted confused for a moment and then it grew to concern for all these crying Eevees. She went up to one image and growled cutely at it getting in a playful pose. She wagged her tail trying to entice play. It didn’t appear to work and she moved on. She tried this again on the various images but after a minute she hung her head as if in shame/sadness that she couldn’t make the others happy. Then she raised her head and “pounced” on one of the images. She really landed right before it but the illusion was that she had pounced on it. She then proceeded to tickle the image and then used Double Team to leave the image of an Eevee tickling another. She changed the image of the Eevee being tickled to one rolling onto its back laughing. She continued this until all the Eevee images were being tickled and the sounds of laughing Eevees filled the hall.
After a few minutes of making images of Eevees tickling one another she moved to the center of the stage with her popped ball. She surveyed the happy scene before it began to fade. Gormlaith walked over and gave her a soft pat on the head. “Too bad about your ball but at least you had fun.” She said. Vanadis replied with a loud ‘Vee’ and then bowed to the crowd. The crowd applauded the performance while Gormlaith and Vanadis left the stage.
