Taylor died three days after her injury, Peyton was already gone, as well as Sirena, Julie, and Stefan. Something was wrong with Damon, but Noah wasn't sure what happened. He didn't know any of them, and it really upset him, considering he had once told Damon he wished he could have been his son instead. He regretted that comment of course, and loved Dean dearly, but all his strength was tested the day Dean passed away. Noah was left with no one to look up to, not one to talk to, and no one to ask for help. Maggie didn't seem too effected by the losses, but she was young, so he didn't really expect her to understand. He kept her close to him, feeling like now, she was literally the only person in the world that didn't hate him for one reason or another. Rian wasn't around, as she had taken off with Finn, Jake, and Kira, over to Paris. Lexi was staying with Malia and Viper so she could keep an eye on Dex and Ryder with them, and all in all Noah just felt forgotten. Like he had messed up so badly that there was no recovering. He put all his focus into Maggie, making sure she didn't miss any of her lessons for dance class, and even let her join a kiddie class for learning to swim. She loved it of course because her best friend Grace was there, so Noah didn't have a problem. Sometimes he went to Derek's just to be around someone. He and Noah got along pretty well, and Maggie loved spending time with Isaac and Ariana, but since there was still tension, Noah just kept to the kitchen and chatting with Derek and Charlie.
When summer began to come to a close, Noah was getting prepared, packing away his and Maggie's things once he paid for his apartment. It was a cute two bedroom right beside campus, walking distance from both school, and Maggie's daycare. It was hard leaving the mansion, but it was time, and he knew that, he just didn't think it would be empty the day he was supposed to say goodbye. Maggie was in the Impala waiting for him, bags all packed. He stood in the doorway as memories crossed his mind. He had grown up here, had so many memories both good and bad, and walking away was almost painful. His eyes glassed with tears as the sound of the empty hallways echoed loudly in his ears, remembering how not so long ago, silence was a rare sound to hear. "Bye everyone...I'll miss you." His voice was quiet, as if speaking to ghosts that couldn't respond. He bowed his head and wiped his tears away, closing the door and locking it behind him. No this wasn't forever, they still owned the mansion, well, Damon did, but still he wished someone, anyone had been there for him to hug goodbye. Noah got into the Impala and started her up, driving away toward their new home. The radio played a mix tape Dean had made ages ago consisting of ACDC, Metallica, and Black Sabbath. Noah hummed along, spinning his father's ring around on his finger absentmindedly. Maggie sang all the words and got him to join in, and for a second, he pretended he was okay. He made a quick stop to finalize his will, basically confirming that if anything were to happen to him, then Ethan and Axel were the first to take custody of Maggie. If they were unable, Isaac was second in line, then Jake, and if for some reason he too couldn't do it, then it passed down to Zack. The list actually contained everyone in a specific order, but those were the first four. He put his copy in the back seat and drove the rest of the way to the new apartment, grabbing what was left in the car and taking it inside while Maggie skipped up the stairs. They spent the whole afternoon unpacking and laughing together, setting up their rooms the way they wanted them, and ordering Chinese for dinner.
They still had a week or so before classes started, and once Noah selected his courses, he was free to do whatever til then. Maggie wasn't happy about switching towns, but once she spotted Grace in her new dance class her whole outlook turned around and Noah was glad to see her happy. Maggie was with Grace and Mrs. Lockwood, out shopping and having a girl's day, and Noah was home alone for the afternoon. He and Finn talked over the phone and managed to reconcile their differences, which made him feel better, having given up the fight. He was tired of holding his breath and waiting, and he needed to move on. It was just time. Fresh start, and new beginnings. He wished he could fix things with Zack and Axel but they, like everyone else, had been so distant this summer. It upset him that Ariana was still hurt by what he had said back during the eclipse, and it had finally gotten the better of him. He texted Mrs. Lockwood, letting her know that he would pick Maggie up later that evening, and he took off for Beacon Hills. He made his way to Derek's, about to burst the second the alpha opened the door. He hadn't been running, but he was breathless anyway, his heart racing at about a hundred miles per hour. "Hey Noah. How's the new place? You get everything moved in or did you need some help?" Noah shook his head. "No, no, I'm okay, I got it done, I just-I need to talk to Ariana. Is she here?" Derek half smiled and nodded. "Yeah, she is here. She is helping Charlie pack up for the move. I got transferred to the college to teach literature, and speech. I'll be co-directing for theater, and they want me to do some coaching but I haven't decided. We are moving into a condo on campus. What do you need Ariana for? Was she supposed to take Maggie or something?" Noah listened and hesitated some. "No, she wasn't, I just can't stand her being upset with me anymore. I've gone this entire summer with almost nothing and I know I don't belong anywhere, but I just want to try and make it up to her. That's all. I don't want to bother her while she is busy though, so if you could just give her a note from me, I'd really appreciate it." Derek agreed and Noah went back to the car to write a short note, giving it to Derek, and turning to leave. Derek caught him by the shoulder and made him turn to face him, giving him a stern look. "You've been through a lot Noah, and I give you a lot of credit for it, but please don't ever think that you don't belong anywhere. There are still people left in this world that care about you, even if they struggle to show it. Don't forget that, okay?" Noah nodded and sighed a bit. "Tell Axel I miss him for me, and that I hope he is doing okay. He and Ethan, all of you, are welcome to stop by whenever you want. Night or day, it doesn't matter." Derek nodded before they both hugged for a moment, and Noah turned to get into the car.
Derek moved inside and saw Ariana in the kitchen with Charlie, both giggling over the engagement ring he had given Charlie a few days before. He slid the note across the table, then called all the boys to the table to eat. Once everyone was sitting down, Derek glanced to Axel first. "Your brother was here. He told me to tell you that he hopes you are doing okay, and that he misses hanging out with you. All three of you." He cast glances between Axel, Ethan, and Isaac. "Look guys, I know the last year hasn't been easy on any of you, and as much as I hate to say it, I think Noah is really struggling to keep his head above water here. I'm not saying you have to talk to him if you don't want to, I'm just saying maybe you should reevaluate why you stopped talking in the first place, and determine whether or not losing him completely is worth it. Friends, real friends, are hard to come by nowadays. He might not be the brightest or the best decision maker, but he has a good heart. We all know that, and now that we know that half his actions were caused by Kanima shift...I don't know that I can hold it all against him. We've all made mistakes, have regrets. I just want you all to really think about it before you all go to school next week. That's all." Derek continued to eat, glancing at Ariana who still had Noah's note in her hand. "Ariana, I know we haven't spoken, but I'd like to talk. Face to face. Not on the phone, not through a text. I'll be at the park by the high school til nine tonight. You don't have to show if you don't want to. I'll understand. I just want to talk. ~Noah"
Noah did as the note said, and sat in the park on the swings, just staring at nothing and doing a lot of thinking. Even here there were tons of memories. Over by the slide was the place he beat up some kid for making fun of Axel, and near the monkey bars was where he beat another for physically bullying Zack. Over in the corner was where he used to build the sand mountains with Jake, then have super soaker wars. All the boys would join in back then, and sometimes even the girls, because back then, all they had was each other, and back then, they all got along. He didn't hate Finn, Sawyer used to join in games, Zack and Axel were glued to his sides, and Rian would play 'nurse' with Damian when they scraped their knees, so then everyone would take turns being surgeons and doctors. No matter what, they were happy then, and could turn even a bad thing, like an injury, into a game where everyone had a place, an important role to play in order for the game to work. Now, here he sat, alone, staring at the same sand that meant so much to them all that ago, and feeling more empty than ever, because now, no one was here in the sand with him. What happened to them? They all grew up, they all changed, but he never thought it would have turned into this. Dean and Taylor were gone now, as well as all the other parents, and Noah didn't know what to do. They used to all sit together at the picnic table just a few yards away, watching their children play, and now, he didn't know where they were sitting or even if they could keep an eye on their kids. The sound of soft footsteps met his ears, breaking his concentration, and he looked up to see Ariana standing there. Noah stood up out of the swing, half shocked to see her there, and a sense of overwhelming comfort set in, mixed with a twinge of guilt. He approached her, keeping a few feet between them, and taking a deep breath. "Ariana...uhm..." He started to struggle, unsure what to say first.
"Thank you for showing up...I just...there is something I have to say. I want you to know how incredibly sorry I am for what I said back at graduation. I wasn't exactly myself, and I made a mistake. My anger has always been a problem for me, and I shouldn't have let it get that far, Kanima or otherwise. I never meant to hurt you, and what I said wasn't even true. The truth is, you were never second best to anyone. I was mad because Finn has this life that I would kill to have and for a long time, I hated him for it, and I wanted him to feel the same pain I felt. He has the best friend, and tons of people who care, then on top of all that, he got the girl, and in that moment...I hated him. I was wrong, and I know it isn't like me to say that, but I was, and I am so sorry...I just can't keep going on without making sure you knew that, and that you heard it from me." Noah's eyes got a bit glassy with tears, so he broke eye contact and looked up at the sky, trying to regain his composure. "For what it's worth, you were never just some filler for me. You weren't some kind of replacement for Rian or whatever everyone tried saying you were. You kept the pieces together for me, and when Finn took that from me too I just...I care about you okay? You know better than most how hard it is to vocalize my emotions or thoughts, so I hope I'm coming across the right way in saying all this. I've been alone all summer and I feel like a total shut out, but that's okay because this way, I know I'm not hurting anyone. I didn't mean to hurt you, but I did, and I just wish I hadn't. So if you could find it somewhere deep down to consider forgiving me, even if I don't deserve it, it would make me feel a lot better." Noah stopped talking and looked over to Ariana, waiting for her reaction to his spill of an apology. None of it came out how he planned, but there it was, and all he could do was wait. ((Insert Ariana Here)) Noah exhaled, thrilled that she was okay, and that they were finally better. He moved forward after asking permission, circling his arms around her, and hugging her tightly. They stayed there for a little while, mostly because Noah needed it, and partially just because he wanted to. When he pulled away, he smiled down at her, guiding her hair away from her face and tucking it behind her ear in a friendly gesture. "You are incredible. Thank you for everything you've done for me. I have to go and pick up Maggie, so I'll see you tomorrow. I told Derek I would help you guys haul the boxes up to campus."
They spoke for a short while until he agreed to drive her home, then bid her goodnight, and drove back to campus. He stopped at Mrs. Lockwood's place to pick up Maggie, then got her home, bathed, and in bed, right on time. She loved her new room, and was excited to sleep in it for the first time. She asked Noah to lay with her, which he agreed to, after he showered and dressed for bed. All the doors and windows were locked, and the place was protected in such a way that Dean would have been proud. Noah climbed into Maggie's bed as she covered him with one of her pink fluffy blankets and handed him her giant story book. He read to her for over an hour before she finally started to drift in and out of sleep. When he finished another story, he set the book down and rested against her pillow while she rested with her head down on his chest, curled up into a ball. "I love you Daddy. G'nite." She sat up sleepily and kissed his cheek before returning to her place, and Noah smiled, smoothing her hair, and rubbing her back. "I love you too baby girl. Sweet dreams." He could feel her smile before she drifted to sleep, and he did the same, not bothering to get up and lay in the darkness of his room to dwell on the things in his life he couldn't change. The following morning, Noah woke to the sound of cereal being poured all over the kitchen floor. He stepped out of Maggie's room to see the child sitting down on the tiles, trying to scoop up the pieces. Tears streamed her face and Noah knelt to her level. "Maggie, sweetie, what happened?" Maggie sobbed and looked at the bag she had destroyed and then looked back to Noah. "I was juss tryina get the cereal so I could make breakfass for us as a sprise! Now I ruined it!" Noah laughed and took her into his arms, setting her on the counter and leaning in front of her. "Well that was very nice of you to try helping. I appreciate it, and this isn't that bad a mess. We can clean it all up pretty easy if we work together right? So how about we do that and I'll teach you how to make eggs, what do you say?"
Maggie stopped crying and nodded, helping Noah clean up the mess then helping him cook eggs, bacon, and pancakes. They ate together at their little kitchen table, then got dressed, before Noah told her they were going to Derek's. The small girl jumped up with joy, dying to see those in the house. She missed them all terribly, and wasn't sure why they hadn't come to see her room yet. Noah's phone rang then, seeing Finn's number come up. He furrowed his brow and answered, unsure what he might want. "Hey, Noah, thank the lord, okay we have a problem." Noah listened more intently trying not to panic in case it was nothing life threatening. "Sure, what's going on? Is everyone okay?" Finn started yelling at someone with his hand over the speaker, then came back a moment later. "No, yeah, we are all fine. We just got to the airport here and not only is half of our luggage missing, but there are like no available cabs, and my damn car was towed at some point during our trip. We have no ride home, and no one else is answering their phones. We tried just about everyone but apparently no one is up this early in the morning. I hate to wreck your day plans, but we were wondering if you could come and get us...you know, if it isn't too much trouble." Noah took a drink of his coffee and nodded. "Sure. I haven't left the apartment yet so it isn't that far. I was going to head to Derek's anyway and help them move the rest of their stuff to campus. You guys better get a move on or you'll be moving between classes. I'll be there in twenty." Finn thanked him, and they hung up before Jake told Maggie they were going to go get cousin Jake first. She was ecstatic, and hugged everyone the moment they got out to greet them. She avoided Finn of course, but she was excited otherwise. Noah hugged Jake first, then Kira, Rian, and yes, even Finn. He went back into the airport and managed to get the rest of their luggage found by yelling at one of the managers. He put their things into the car and drove the two hours back to Beacon Hills, letting Jake and Maggie ride shot gun. Maggie told them all about her room and the big move, and how her best friend Grace ended up still being in her classroom for dance. He dropped them off at the mansion where Kira and Jake's cars were still sitting. They all exited the Impala, and Noah headed for Derek's, getting out when he arrived and knocking on the door. Derek let him in, and right away he started to place boxes in the Camaro and the Impala. Ethan was more than happy to strike conversation with Noah, not having had much of a problem with him to begin with. By the time the weekend ended, classes were beginning, and Noah got up early to get the morning ritual down. Once he dropped Maggie off, she seemed hesitant, not wanting to go because she didn't know anyone. "Daddy, don't go. I don't wanna go by myself. I dun know this place." Noah lowered to her level and spoke quietly as he adjusted her braid. "I did background checks on everyone, even parents, and Mrs. Lockwood will be here, so you'll do great. I left a trac-phone in your backpack, all charged up, so if you need to you can call me if you need to. My number is there and so is Uncle Axel, and Cousin Jake, and everyone else, even Derek and Charlie." Maggie smiled. "Even Isik?" Noah laughed a little and smiled, nodding to confirm it was. Maggie glanced at the room full of other kids and then turned back to Noah, still hesitating. "You...you're gonna come back right? You'll come get me when it's over?" Noah offered his pinky up and she locked hers with his as he looked her in the eyes. "I promise. When the big hand on the clock is at the top and the little hand is on the four, I'll be right here." Maggie smiled and felt better, telling him she loved him, giving him a hug, and walking toward the teacher who welcomed her into the reading circle. Noah waved, and she waved too, before he stepped out and watched for a moment or two to be sure she would be okay. When he was content, he made his way to the coffee shop and sat down, looking over his schedule, and trying to memorize it.
He made his way into his first class, and thank Heaven, it was Literature with Derek. It started off easily enough. A round of everyone introducing themselves in an exercise to try and learn new classmates. They were to give their names, and a few interesting things about themselves, then at the end they were to write down each name and attempt to remember the fact. When it was Noah's turn he stood up and took a bit of a breath. "Hey, I'm Noah Winchester, and I guess the only thing I can think of is I am good at sports, and I am a single father of one adorable little girl. I like classic cars, fast food, and working out. Other than that I am pretty boring." He sat back down and the next guy was up, ready to go. Derek didn't give out any assignment other than to find someone in the class they thought they could get along with for their partner project the following day, and fill out a sheet to interview their partner. Noah didn't pick anyone right away, and figured he would just do it later, unless of course he was approached by someone else. He moved onto his next class, Culinary 101, and that was when the day took a turn. He was assigned an entire packet with three chapters to read, and the classes got harder and harder from there. He was totally overwhelmed by lunch, looking at the pile of work ahead of him, half of which he wasn't even sure he could grasp. He glanced to Isaac and sighed. "Dude, what am I even doing here? I can't pull this off. I barely made it through high school. How am I supposed to cram all this homework? I mean us Winchester boys are set with money for a few years if we manage our shares right because of dad, so I don't need a job, but still...I don't think I can do it." Noah sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, checking his phone to see Maggie had just sent him a message. 'Evrrytng O K.' It helped, and Noah sent one back. 'Thanks sweetie. See you soon. Love you.' Noah started to eat, speaking with Isaac and waiting for the others to join them at their table in the courtyard.

wíth α líttlє swєєt αnd símplє numвíng mє mood :: Stressed, Anxious, Excited, Sad-ish, Happy, ********. - Confused, Accepting, Excited // location :: ~Summer~, Derek's, Mansion, On the Road, Mystic Falls University, Dorm, Classes, Lunch/Courtyard // health :: Perfect // with :: Derek, Ethan, Isaac, Ariana, Lexi, Noah, Zack, Troy, Parrish, Emmett Everyone had a rather crappy Graduation. But from what he remembered he had been relatively happy at Prom, and the wedding. The wedding didn't matter much anymore now though, Sirena was sent back the circle, and for the first solid hundred hours without her, Rian didn't sleep, trying to find a way to get her out till Finn and Jake forced her to stop and sleep at least a little bit. Zack, Noah, and Axel himself were a complete wreck, Taylor died after three days of being stabbed, and for those three days, Axel kept his emotions in check, Axel was sad when Peyton died, then Taylor, then Dean. That got to him. Dean had been in a funk after the rest of the parents were taken away and died. Damon seemed to be taken back in his mind to a point at his life where he had no idea who anyone was. He disappeared every so often, but somehow found himself back at the mansion. As for Summer, things started to look up, Ethan and him went out of town a few times just to shop, and go to theme parks, but never too far, in case Derek needed him. When everyone left for Summer, it was just Noah and Maggie at the mansion, so Axel stayed there, allowing the others from Derek's to come over as well at random so Noah and Maggie weren't alone all the time. He hadn't spoken to Noah about his fit, he was just waiting for the right moment, that kept getting procrastinated. It wasn't that he was trying to ignore Noah, it was that he didn't know what Noah's reaction to his apology was going to be, and it was the unknown he was scared of. It wasn't until Derek brought it up at dinner till he realized that maybe he should hurry up and talk to him instead of putting it off any longer. Noah had moved to Mystic Falls already, but came back to Beacon Hills to Derek's often with Maggie. He helped the group load up the vehicles and move to the University, and unload once again, he still hadn't spoken to Noah. Before they all left Beacon Hills, Axel had made his way back to the mansion, taking one last walk through in case he forgot something, he sat in Dean and Taylor's room for a bit, then his old room, the bad feelings settling a bit, at least they would be okay now, and together, and that's what mattered. He locked the house with his house key, knowing for sure someone would go and say goodbye after him, but no one ever left it open. It used to be so full of people, it was hard to be alone in the living room, let alone the hallways, and Axel had found himself missing the company, wanting to give anything so it wasn't so quiet.
Axel sat with Ethan while they drove to the University in Mystic Falls, they were all split up in separate cars, but somehow all together, Isaac and Ariana were in the front seat while Axel held Ethan's hand, staring out the window. Derek and Charlie with Lulu in the U-Haul behind them. Axel looked out the sun roof, slowly being lulled to sleep by the motion and soft music playing. His eyes were closed as his mind processed Summer, it had been so relaxing and peaceful. Everyone kept in touch, and it was just nice for everyone to have a while away before they stepped back into the chaos that was their lives again. Axel woke to Ariana and Ethan, she held out a coffee and smiled, "We're here! And we stopped and got coffee, I know how you like to let it sit so it doesn't scorch your mouth, it should be warm now." she said sweetly. He grinned back at her and nodded, "Thanks Ari." He glanced to Ethan as she stepped away from the open door, Isaac already out of the car as well, "Hi." he said with a sleepy smile, he sat up straightening his back and leaning over to him kissing him softly before tilting his head slightly,"You ready?" A voice from outside Isaac's new truck called out, "They're just having a romantic moment, give it a few minutes." Axel looked out the window and playfully scoffed, "You're an a**." Isaac shrugged and smirked, "I aim to please." Derek and Charlie pulled up and got out with ease making their ways over to the forming group while Ethan and Axel got out of the truck to join as well. "How was the drive guys?" Charlie asked then quickly corrected herself, "And Ari." Axel cracked a smile and Ariana nodded with a grin as well, "It was long, and Isaac doesn't know the meaning of bathroom break." Axel nodded, "I second that." Charlie laughed a bit and within a few hours everyone was moved into their dorm rooms. Isaac and Ethan were luckily paired together. Axel on the other hand? Was paired with Jordan Parrish from the Beacon Hills Police Department, the last time they had seen each other was when ninety percent of their parents died. Axel looked at the list of his roommates, Parrish, Emmett, and some guy named Troy, yeah...This was gonna be great. When Jordan walked in, Axel waved and nodded to him, "Hey." Jordan nodded in greeting back at him, "Hey there Axel, how have you been? I left for the summer, I called the mansion phone a couple times, but no one was there." he stated. Axel sat on his bottom bunk, and shrugged it off, "I've been good, I'm pretty sure everyone's kind of calmed down, it was a decent summer, what about you?" Parrish climbed up on the top bunk on the opposite side of the room and looked to him as he exhaled, "I went to visit my mom, she moved out of state, met a guy, it was good, fun even." he said and smiled. Axel nodded, "Still seeing Rory?" Parrish shrugged a bit and shook his head, "Not as often, we still talk, but it's calmed down quite a lot." Axel frowned, "Sorry to hear that man." Parrish looked to the side and nodded just as some little ginger kid moved into the dorm, Axel looked to Parrish who just watched as he got settled. They both waved to him, but after a bit it became apparent the kid was deaf, he bunked under Parrish who had gotten off the top bed and shook his hand. After a few more minutes, another figure entered the room and Axel's heart began to race, "Dad?" he questioned, his voice barely audible. The guy seemed confused and Axel dropped his stare, "I'm...I'm so sorry, I just..." he trailed off and then shook his head, stepping out of the room. Parrish looked to Troy and apologized before following Axel out and down the hallway, "Hey, hey! Wait up!" Once Parrish joined him Axel ran a hand through his hair, texting Ethan, asking him what dorm number he was in, Parrish followed silently. He then dialed Noah's number, his heart still racing, and once Noah answered, a little blonde bumped into Axel's arm, "Sorry, I didn't...I-" he cut himself off and stared when she looked up at them, "Don't apologize, that was totally my fault, I'm Caroline, this is Dani." Axel could hear Noah's voice on the line, but once he looked at Caroline and Dani's faces, he just went down.
When Axel came to he looked up at the ceiling, where the hell was he? Parrish sat across the dorm room, and Ethan and Isaac were next to him, "Hey you okay?" Axel held his head, and let out a sigh, "I think I'm sick or something...Maybe like...Schizophrenic?" Isaac snorted and shook his head, "No. We saw them too." Axel looked up to Parrish who nodded, "Yeah, you kind of went down in a busy hallway, and being women they were fairly concerned, I said you suffered from major migraines. They helped get you here, Isaac almost lost it, I'm pretty sure he still has a thing for Dani." he said with a smirk. Axel looked up, "Did you see my dad too? He's here, I swear to god, Jordan saw him too, I think I called Noah..." Isaac nodded, "You did. I spoke to him, told him you were done passed out, he'll be here shortly." Axel sat up and looked to Ethan, "Sorry..Oh my god. I fainted." Parrish shrugged, cutting in, "That's a lot to process, my friend. Don't be sorry." Axel nodded, "They all looked the same, but like...younger." he glanced up to Isaac, "Do you think it's even possible?" Isaac nodded, "We had Emma living in the same town as us and we didn't even notice. I'm sure it's possible. I'm confused about the Dani thing though...She died, the coincidence is crazy, a doppelganger with the same name?" Parrish blinked and looked up, "Maybe something happened? An angel or something felt bad for her? Gave her a life she wanted, a life she needed. She was thrust back into your life when that...guy brought her back, she was angry, resentful. She seemed happy, at peace you know?" Isaac nodded and Axel let out a sigh, "I didn't even get the guys name." Parrish looked up, "Troy. The other one is Emmett." Axel nodded, and Isaac glanced to Jordan, "The deaf one is Emmett? Or is the Dean look alike deaf?" Axel let out a half laugh and Isaac groaned, "I'm sorry, I know there's a deaf one." Parrish stared at him, "Oh my God." he pinched the bridge of his nose, "Emmett is deaf. Troy is not, Troy is the Dean look alike." Isaac nodded, "Right...Are you...Are you like scared about breaking the top bunk? He's deaf, I mean he wouldn't even hear it comin' - I'm sorry. I'm done." Axel looked up in shock at Isaac, trying to resist a laugh, eventually giving in till Damon and Noah showed up. The four guys looked up at the door and Damon looked to Noah, "This just got incredibly awkward." he muttered. Isaac looked at Ethan and stood up, "Well, we'll head out so you two can talk...Parrish?" Jordan nodded, joining Isaac and Ethan as Damon glanced them all over and then looked at Noah before sighing, "What are we going to do?" Parrish shrugged, "We can go see if we can find the doppelgangers?" Damon narrowed his eyes for a moment, "Can you shut up? The door is open, you sound like you're going to find a sacrifice for a cult sacrifice for better grades. It's even worse because you're kind of a cop and you want to go stalking for kicks." Isaac snorted and looked away while Parrish sighed, "I meant...Nevermind. Let's go." The three stepped into the halls and Damon looked to Axel and Noah, "I think we're gonna go find a dog so we can live action role play some Scooby Doo episode." Axel rolled his eyes, "Damon." Damon shrugged, "Don't 'Damon' me, I actual feel like one of the cool kids, I mean we're going to find a mystery!" he said sarcastically. "d**k." Parrish grumbled under his breath from outside the room. Damon smirked, "Toodle-Lu~" he said with a wave of his fingers and then turned, closing the door behind him.
Axel waited for a moment, staring at the door, "Such a p***k." he mumbled. After a few more minutes, he glanced up at Noah, "I know Isaac told you what was going on, I just...I saw this Troy guy and I panicked, and I now that we haven't been talking, and that's one hundred percent on me, but I didn't know who else to call. I mean...Yeah." he paused and looked down, "I would understand if you didn't want to talk, or even have any contact, I just...I've been putting this off for a while now because I have no idea how you were gonna take it, and I am so sorry Noah. I was really struggling with myself, and I felt like Ethan was the only one there for me, and when he died I felt like I lost the only part of my life that mattered, and I pushed you and Dad, and Zack, and mom away. I said some stuff I wish I could take back, and I know I can't but I want you to know that I regret that more than anything, you're my brother, you're the most important thing in the world to me, you're my family...And I screwed up, and I'm so sorry for disappointing you." he let it all out with a rush and stared at him, waiting for him to speak, and when he did Axel's eyes got tearful, he stepped forward wasting no time and wrapping his arms around Noah, hugging him tightly. After a few moments with Axel's face pressed into Noah's shoulder, he let out a breath, "I don't know how I'm going to live with this Troy guy, he's the twenty year old version of Dad. And then I ran into Dani of all people, and mini Peyton...I'm waiting till the rest of our dead family appear with different personas and names." he mumbled. He let out a shaky breath, looking Noah over, he missed the closeness they had, he did, and he so happy he wasn't being punched in the face for the hateful words he had spat at him. He looked over to the door, "We should go find Damon, he's probably reigning terror over someone. I just hope whoever it is has a good heart and can take the endless sarcasm." he joked and smiled at Noah. - The first night, Axel and Ethan hung out in Ethan's dorm room, Isaac had kind of stood guard, meeting up with Tyler Lockwood outside the door and told him to give them at least an hour. Tyler seemed accepting, but slightly annoyed. Axel rolled onto his back in Ethan's bed, looking up at Ethan and smiling, "I love you." he whispered as he sat up, and gazed into Ethan's eyes, "Have I mentioned how happy I am that you're back?" he questioned with a grin. He had 'mentioned' it to him at least once a day since he had come back.
* * *
Axel and Parrish stepped out of their dorm room in the morning, he avoided all eye contact with Troy, he didn't even speak to him. He looked at his schedule, heading to the main building, stopping at the coffee cart where Isaac was with Lexi and Ariana. He smiled to the two ladies and then nodded to Isaac, "How was your night?" Isaac shrugged, "It was weird, I mean...We're in college now. It's just going to take some adjustments." Axel nodded, "Where's Ethan?" Isaac looked at the time, "He'll be here soon, if he's not already wandering around." Parrish glanced around seeing Dani and Caroline walking towards the coffee cart, he nudged Isaac's arm and motioned his head towards the brunette, "Buy her coffee." Axel glanced to Lexi as Isaac laughed a bit, "No, why would I do that?" Jordan shrugged, "Well, Korra isn't here, and no guy is on her arm. Why not?" Isaac sighed and shook his head, "No, I can't." Parrish, who clearly didn't get it, frowned, "Okay." he said and pulled a couple coins from his pocket, he then moved to the coffee cart, handing the money to the guy running it, "It's for the brunette, it's from Isaac." he stated and smiled. The coffee guy nodded with a wink and then Parrish moved back over to Isaac, "You gotta get back out there Isaac. You deserve it." he patted Isaac's shoulder and then stepped away, heading into the building. Isaac scrunched his face up before exhaling and looking to Axel who shrugged. At that moment, Zack, Finn and Jake walked to the group, "No, Zack, you don't get it, Finn's...particular with certain things." Zack rolled his eyes and glanced to Jake putting his hands up in surrender, "I put the cap back on the toothpaste!" Jake nodded, "Yeah, but it dripped onto the counter." Zack groaned, "Jake...It's a Public. ********. Bathroom. It's going to happen!" Axel raised an eyebrow, "Why good morning everybody." Zack stood next to Axel, "It's like living with a ******** Martha Stewart, except she can't cook and nags at you for wearing two different pairs socks." Isaac snorted and Jake face palmed, Axel then looked up to Jake, "Wait...You heard about the doppelgangers right?" Jake's smile dropped and he just nodded, "Yeah." Axel glanced towards the coffee cart, Jake's eyes following Axel's gaze, he stared for a moment, "Holy s**t, that's-" Isaac made a 'sst' noise and Jake cut himself off as the two girls made their way over. Caroline smiled to Isaac then looked at Axel, "Are you okay? You seemed really out of it yesterday." Axel nodded, "Yep. All better." Caroline nodded and Axel stared, "Right...Caroline, Dani, this is Isaac, Lexi, Ariana, Jake, Zack, Finn. Guys, this is Dani and Caroline." he pointed to everyone as he said there name and the two seemed really sweet with them all. Caroline looked to Jake, who was just staring, completely shocked, and silent, "Jake right?" Jake nodded slowly and then ran a hand through his hair, "I gotta go to class. It was nice...Uh, meeting you I guess." He stepped around everyone and left, everyone doing the same.
Axel went to his first class, stopping at the door, looking at the 'classroom' it was just a bunch or chairs in an auditorium looking room with mini desktops, it was so...different. He looked to the first person he saw, he was playing with a new camera it looked like, Axel made his way over, "If you tilt it the other way, you'll get a better left angle, you could even change the contrast for a better shot depends on what you're photographing." he stated. The man did as he said and snapped a picture, glancing at it and then looking up at him, "That was perfect. How'd you figure that out?" Axel smiled, looking at the man, he shrugged, "I've worked with cameras since I could remember, I know a few tips and tricks. Axel Winchester." he said and held his hand out. The man shook his hand and smiled, "Josh Vera." he said and nodded, "Nice to meet you Mr. Winchester. It'll be a pleasure to have someone who knows what they're doing in my class." Axel smiled to him and nodded, seriously. He just...Ugh. "Thanks. I didn't know you were the teacher, I wouldn't have come up and I'm sorry." Josh shook his head, "It's no worries at all Mr. Winchester. You didn't correct me, you just got to me before I did it, I'm surprised you knew what I was doing." Axel smiled at him and nodded, "You can call me Axel." Josh Vera smiled and set his camera down on his desk, "Duly noted. Why don't you find a seat in the front row?" he offered. Axel agreed and moved to the end seat closest to the window, and during that class he paid every ounce of attention he had to what Josh had to say.
At lunch, he sat down in the courtyard next to Noah, Isaac, Ariana, and Ethan, "So that Human Sexual Behaviors class." he stated. Isaac nodded, "That teacher's...intense." Axel smirked at took a bite of his burger, "How's the classes going so far?" Ari took a sip of her coffee, "Lexi's in all of mine, so it's not as intimidating as I thought it was going to be." Isaac glanced to his soda, "Our roommate's in all of my classes, Jason Stackhouse, he's pretty cool." Axel looked up, "Stackhouse?" he questioned. Isaac nodded, "Yeah, why?" Axel shook his head, "It just sounds familiar, that's all." Isaac leaned forward to Ari, "Have you seen Lexi?" She nodded, "Yeah, she was just getting food, told me to come sit, she'll be here in a few." Axel glanced to Isaac and then Ari, "Where's Finn?" Ari looked up, "Hm? I uh...I think with Jake." Damon showed up, sitting next to Ari and sliding an arm around her shoulders, "Hello classmates." Ariana slumped in surrender, Axel laughed, "Why do you do that to her?" he laughed. Damon took a bite of her burger and shrugged, "Because she's has issues and I can get away with it." Isaac snorted, "One day that'll change." Damon smirked, "Not anytime soon." he said and then retracted his arm, "So where's Deputy Creepy?" "Are you talking about Parrish?" Damon shrugged, "I don't know his name by heart yet. All I know is that he likes to stalk our local doppelgangers. Someone scream 'neighborhood watch'" Isaac rolled his eyes and looked around for Lexi, his eyes landing on Emma, he glanced away and sighed. Axel stretched and looked at his phone, "Being here is such a weird feeling, we aren't like...Running for our lives." Ariana shrugged, "Yet." Damon sighed, "Oh, and that's why I like her, she's has bursts of whatever that was. Ariana...always such a pessimist. Maybe this whole college will be your own High School Musical, but..you know, in college."

After Grad, everyone had fallen from themselves, they had all lost so much throughout the year, it was a shock their sanity was still in tact. Finn went to Paris with Kira, Jake, and Rian she was okay with it, essentially. She spent most of her time at Derek's with Isaac, Maggie, Ethan, Axel, Lexi every once in a while, and sometimes Noah stopped in, usually to drop off or pick up Maggie. Lexi was watching over Malia, Ryder and Dex, even though Malia kept her distance away from Lexi. Ariana spoke to Finn at least once a night whether she spent the money to call him or just messaged him online, she hated being so far from him, but he needed this time, and he was having fun, so Ari was happy if he was. As for the tension with Noah, Isaac's disappointment calmed down a bit, and Ariana just felt bad about the fight between Finn and Noah, especially after finding out that it was a side effect from the Kanima. Sure, he upset her, but the more she thought about it, the more she realized Noah was just lonely. Once that became apparent, she felt worse, frankly because she had a part in that. Her and Noah had been fairly good friends before Korra left, all four of them spent every night together, he had been their when Luka died, he was there for her, he was her crutch mentally as she was his physically. Once the big fight had happened, she had kind of abandoned him, and she could understand Noah's bitterness with her. Aside from that, she enjoyed spending time with Maggie, she liked walking around the pond with her in the morning, sitting on the bench her and Isaac always sat, teaching her songs to sing, looking at the ducks as they entered the water for the day. Maggie seemed content which made Ariana feel good, glad that Maggie was never bored or un-amused.
It wasn't till the night Derek slipped Ariana a note from Noah that she remembered things were rough between them. Derek then spoke to the three boys, stating simply that Noah was struggling and Ari looked down to the counter she was leaning against. Derek made sense, and the fact that Noah gave Ari a note meant that he clearly needed to talk. She nodded to Derek as he finished speaking, feeling that part of his speech was directed to her as well, which she was grateful for, she just needed that push. She stepped into the living room, her eyes scanning the words on the paper and then sighed, that was her chance to lay everything on the table, to talk, to reconcile and move forward. She nodded to herself, slipping the note into her pocket as she moved up the stairs. She stopped in her bedroom, grabbing her green jacket and then moving over to her dresser to get her phone, just in case Finn called. She stopped, her fingers hovering over the little piece of technology and then decided against it, she was going to speak with Noah, just Noah, she needed to give him her undivided attention. She slipped into her black flats and shoved her hands into the pockets of her jacket, before quickly moving down the stairs and out of the house. She walked to the park, her eyes landing on Noah's figure almost immediately she stopped before him and watched as he looked up, "Hey." she said quietly. He seemed slightly shocked that she had showed up, but he moved into what he wanted to talk about. Immediately, her eyes dropped as he began to speak, how he was angry, he didn't mean to hurt her, and admitting he was jealous of Finn because he had all of this love and support and he got the girl. He looked down then, averting his eyes so his tears didn't slide down, but he continued. He explained how she hadn't been second best, or a filler, but his crutch, and then Finn had come into the picture. Her eyes teared up a bit as he spoke, 'I just...I care about you okay?' His words progressed, asking her if she considered forgiving him, and that's when she looked back up at him, taking a second to process. "Thank you for telling me this, for...opening up, that means a lot to me." she began and looked him over, "Noah, I was upset, only because I didn't understand what was going on, or how you felt, which was stupid because you had every right to be upset with me." she said softly and let out a breath, "After the shooting, we were all together, and we helped each other, supported each other. And then Korra left, and I got distant, and I abandoned you, you had every right to feel abandoned, and hurt, and angry, because I wasn't there for you." she paused and wiped a tear off her cheek, "I wasn't there for you when you needed me most." Her breath hitched when she looked back up at him, "You're hard to break through to, it's difficult. You're so guarded, and careful with people, and I understand why you were angry...And I don't want you to blame yourself for things are completely out of your control." She ran a hand through her hair, "I've never told anyone about this yet, but uh...A few years ago I was in a car accident I was angry with my mom and uh, well it was really bad you know?" she cut herself off the console herself before she started to really cry, "And I almost died, and uhm, it really made me realize that when you have people in your life that love you at a certain point you just, you have to take responsibility for that and it means something and it matters, and you know..." she cut herself off again with an exhale, her arms moving up to her face, "And what I'm trying to say is that I care about you too. I care about you more than I probably should, and I can't- ... I don't want to waste one more second doing anything while we aren't on good terms and I want to know that you're going to be okay, I want you to be strong, and I want you to be able to come to be again...And I'm sorry, just...you know?" she questioned, her voice rushing as her heart picked up, tears beginning to drip, "I'm taking responsibility now." He had asked permission to hug her, she just nodded and wrapped her arms around his neck as he did the same to her waist. She calmed down, and he moved her hair out of her face which made her heart skip a beat, she tilted her head slightly and smiled, "You're pretty incredible yourself." she said her eyes moving down to the ground as he said he was heading back to Mystic Falls, she nodded and let her arms fall down. He gave her a ride back to Derek's and she smiled to him, "Thanks, I'll see you later. I appreciate the talk." she said quietly and leaned over, kissing his cheek and then getting out of the Impala. When she stepped into the house Charlie looked up from the couch, "Hey you, how was your night? Did you talk to Noah?" Ari glanced over and nodded, "Yeah. It was good." she said quietly, "I'm just gonna go to sleep, I'm really tired." Charlie smiled at her and nodded, "Okay, Goodnight Hun." she called Ariana wished her goodnight and moved into her room, picking up her phone to message Finn, but eventually just passed out.
* * *
When they all got to Mystic Falls University, she moved into the dorm room with Lexi, unpacking and making her bottom bunk bed, taping a picture of her mother on the wall next to her head, before she began to unpack her clothes and put the in one of the four stand up dressers, dividing her and Lexi's closet so they both had an equal amount of space, then turned and began to put her books on the bookshelf, she took her computer out and set it down on one of the two desks, leaving room for Lexi as well. She wished Derek and Charlie goodbye, though they were only going to their own place, she knew she'd see them come their first day of classes. Ari looked over her schedule, texting Finn that she'd meet him somewhere if he wanted to, but jumped slightly when Rian came in with Kira. She smiled to them sweetly, "Hey, how was the drive?" Rian seemed a bit standoffish, so Ari focused on Kira, she held up a decent conversation with her. She sat down on the chair on her and Lexi's side of the room and watched the two unpack, it was almost silent except the movement of them. She glanced at Lexi and then looked to the two others, mainly Rian, "So how was Paris? Finn told me it was great." Rian folded her shirts and looked to her, watching her for a moment till she nodded, "It was sensational." Ari nodded, "Oh well, that's good." Rian smiled, "It is." Ariana sighed, "I'm going to go for a walk." she stated. Rian half a** waved while Ari just stepped out. She walked around the dorm building, seeing a snack room with vending machines and coffee machines, as well as tables and chairs, probably for breakfast. She made her way to the student lounge, it had classic arcade games, couches, vending machines, a couple desks, bookshelves, it was fun looking, and she felt like she'd spend a lot of time in there. She stepped forward, knocking a girl's bottle of soda down, thankfully it wasn't open, she stared, "I'm so sorry, I didn't even see you, I was distra-I'm sorry." The brunette shook her head and smiled, "It was a closed bottle, you're good." she said and let out a small breathy laugh. She turned around and went to walk away, but Ariana spoke out, "Hey, wait...I'm Ari, what's your name?" The girl stopped and half turned to her, staring at her hand, "Hayden." she stated. Ariana dropped her hand and smiled, "Nice to meet you, is it your first year?" Hayden pondered her question for a second, "Why would I tell you that?" Ariana shrugged, "Because it's mine, I'm sorry I was just wondering..Sorry." she said quietly and then stepped back, Hayden raised an eyebrow, turning fully to her, "Why apologize? You didn't do anything." Ariana frowned, "I just...Overstepping." Hayden watched her for a moment, "No, you just never know what kind of tactics older students will try to figure out the newbies for frosh week. I don't wanna be a victim." Ariana nodded, "Oh." Hayden nodded and smiled, "I gotta go though, I'll see you around Ana, and be careful." she said with a grin. Ariana blinked, "It's Ariana, Ari for short. Sorry." Hayden laughed, "Usually the person would return with 'It was nice meeting you too', see you later Ariana." Ariana nodded and smiled back, "Nice meeting you too." she said as Hayden turned and left. She texted Finn to meet her and when he came she smiled to him, immediately stepping into him for a hug, "Do you want to go for a walk?" she questioned looking up at him and inclining her head, "You still have to tell me all about Paris." she said before she kissed him softly. Once he complied, she took his hand, lacing her fingers with his and moving outside, the sun beginning to go down.
Ariana and Lexi grabbed a coffee before class, running into the group outside the front doors. Parrish had bought a coffee for the new Dani, who came over and thanked Isaac because Parrish set him up, once everyone dispersed, she looked to Lexi who seemed repelled by the idea of Isaac being with someone, she smiled to her and took a sip of her coffee, "You know you're not fooling me. I see through your little facade." she said with a smirk. Lexi smirked back, bringing the cup to her lips and scoffing some. "I don't care, why should I care? I just don't like how Dani used him before and I don't trust her now. That's all. I don't want his feelings hurt. Is that such a crime?" Lexi was defensive, avoiding looking Ari in the eyes, and shooting a glare in Dani's direction at the back of her head, then flipping her hair and taking another sip. Ariana had her one hand up in surrender, "It was an observation. You and Isaac have been a constant study for me. I know for a fact that had it been you in the situation, he would have looked just as put off." she paused and then shook her head, "But what do I know." she said with a smile as she took another sip, walking into the building with the brunette. Once they got to class, they introduced themselves, which Ari was less than impressed by, standing up in a big auditorium telling everyone her name and a short summary of who she was wasn't as appealing to her, though she had no issue getting up and singing for everyone. She stood up, glancing around, giving her name, her town, and Lexi's name as her best friend. When she sat back down, a male who sat next to her smiled to her, whispering quietly to her, "First year?" he questioned. She looked at him and nodded, trying to pay attention to the next student, he pressed, "Justin, nice to meet you Ari." Ariana gave him a friendly smile and nodded again, "You too." Justin smiled at her, writing his number on the front cover of her notebook which sent her anxiety shooting, that was supposed to remain untouched. She looked at him, trying her best to be friendly and he looked at her, "What are you up to at lunch?" Ariana stared, "I'm meeting my boyfriend, he'll probably take me to get a new notebook." Justin pressed his lips together, "Ah, sorry." he said and leaned back. Her eyes followed him till he sat back straight and then she glanced to Lexi before focusing her attention back on what was happening after she put her notebook away.
At lunch, she had departed from Lexi just to sit down with Ethan, Axel, Isaac and Noah. Damon shortly joined, and after him, Lexi. They spoke idly, Damon with his usual 'I want to see how uncomfortable I can possibly make you till you snap', Isaac with his usual banter with Lexi, Axel and Ethan chiming in while she looked up to Noah, "How's your day going." she questioned, her eyes locked on him, despite Damon's arm. She examined him, his appearance and his general presence, "Productive I guess. I realized that I am in WAY over my head and dad might just have to forgive me if I totally screw this up. You?" Noah bit into his sandwich and glanced at her, feeling still as if he were drowning. She pursed her lips, taking a sip of her coffee, "It's just a heavy load." she said and nodded as she set her cup down, "If you need help just ask, sometimes it doesn't feel like that when you have some people who are helping you." she stated with a smile, "I mean, I wouldn't necessarily go to Damon for homework issues, and Isaac is questionable, but we can try." Damon playfully scoffed, "I'm hurt." She laughed a bit and rolled her eyes before Noah spoke again. "I've only been in two classes so far and I am fairly sure I am gonna die. I am out of my mind here sweetheart." Noah took another bite from his sandwich and glanced around. "I was never cut out for this kind of thing. I should be out hunting, not sitting in a room with my face in a book." Ariana shook her head, "No you shouldn't. It's only your first day, you' have help. If anyone's being a pessimist, it's you." she said with a playful grin. She glanced around, not seeing Finn or Jake, or Zack even, anywhere, which was either really good or the alternative would be Jake and Finn dumping Zack's body into a lake somewhere. She cleared her throat and stood up, "I'm going to go find Finn. I'm worried for your brother." she said with a smile, "Text me after your next class, we can go over your homework or something." she said and then squeezed his shoulder before waving to the others and walking away.
She stepped towards the pathway that went to a bigger yard, but someone grabbed her arm and pulled her back a bit, she stared up at him and dropped her mouth at the guy, "Justin? What? What's going on?" He smiled at her and let go of her arm, "Sorry, I just...Didn't want to approach you while you were at a table full of men." She let out a slight laugh and moved her arms behind her back, "Well if you can't come up to me in front of my friends then maybe that's a sign that you shouldn't come up to me at all." she stated and shrugged. Justin sighed and smiled, "Well my intentions are completely honorable, you said you sing, I was wondering if you wanted to sing with me." Ariana thought about it for a moment, "If your intentions are so honorable, you could have come up to the table." Justin let out a sigh, "I knew if I stopped you here, your friends would still be able to hear what I had to ask." Ariana's eyes widened, "How did you?.." Justin put his arms up in surrender, "Because." he said as his eyes flashed blue, "I'm not going to hurt you, you just interest me." "Oh." Ariana glanced over to Isaac who was already on his way over to the two of them, Justin sighed, "I wanted to be friends." he stated Isaac had huffed from behind him and raised an eyebrow, "Kind of a sketchy tactic." Isaac muttered, "Ari why don't you go back to the table, I'm sure if you call Finn he'll come. Justin is it? I think Ari's politely declining. So you should politely go away." Justin rolled his eyes, "I want to coexist with you guys, if I wanted to mess you up, you'd be messed up." Isaac narrowed his eyes, getting rather defensive, not only for Ari, but for everyone, "Do you know who my pack even is? Who's in it?" Justin sighed a bit, "Well, I can assume that the table over there is your pack. And from my observations, you have a human boy, whatever the guy on the end is, an inexperienced wolf, a vampire whom I can kill easily, and a brand new baby wolf, I bet she's only experienced one moon, I've been around this place for a long time, you think you have a fairly big pack, I agree, but so is mine. And if you want to start something, it won't end well for you. But hey, maybe we'll take your survivors." he muttered glancing over at Lexi. Isaac snarled then stepping forward, his eyes burning yellow. Ariana grabbed his arm and moved him back, "Isaac, come on, don't do this right now, not here." Justin scowled, "Yeah Isaac, don't make an enemy." he said, setting his hand on Ari's shoulder, "It's okay, I didn't mean t-" A thud interjected his voice when Isaac's fist collided with his mouth and dropped him to the ground. Isaac stepped back, getting back in control as Ari stepped in between, moving Isaac back towards the table. Justin stood wiping the blood from his now split lip, cocking his head to the side, "Now you've made an enemy."
After classes and all the excitement, Lexi and Ari went to cheer try outs, something that reminded them both of high school, something Ari was actually excited to get back into. After they learned their routine that they had to do, they performed it perfectly, Rian did it as well as a couple other including Emma and Erica, the captains would split them up by sport after and Ari was hoping she stayed with Lexi. She texted Noah after tryouts, 'Hey you! Still have a growing mountain of homework to do?' she hit send and then opened up Finn's conversation, 'Hey<3 I think Noah may need help with some homework, so when and if I'm done expect a call, love you xo' She hit send and then followed Lexi back to their Dorm, which was across campus. The walk there they picked up frozen coffees, and spoke about Isaac mainly, then the conversation started to move into the topic of Noah, and she smiled every time his name left her mouth, she told her how they spoke, and what she said, nothing too extreme about what he said. He had opened up to her, and that made her feel good, even though it was Lexi, Noah had spoke his emotions, which meant he trusted her, so she wasn't going to break that trust, no matter who it was. The subject was quickly brought back to Isaac and what happened in the courtyard, all of the other students had covered for him, or Justin, no one knew. But since the blue eyed wolf had let it slip that he too had a pack, Ariana was looking around at everyone trying to sense out who was supernatural and who wasn't. Once they got back to the dorm Ariana set her phone down on her bed and looked around, Rian and Kira hadn't come back yet, their afternoon classes probably ran a bit later, she glanced to Lexi then, "He got protective over you, you know." she said and ran a hand through her hair, "I don't want to see Isaac hurt either, and I really don't want you to hurt. You can deny it all you want to me, but I'm not stupid. He's completely in love with you Lexi, you. If I trust anyone with him it's you because I know you won't hurt him, and vice versa. Just...Don't miss your opportunity, trust me, it sucks, and you'll catch yourself wishing you could turn back time and do it over again." she explained and shrugged, "I just wanted to tell you that."

Grad was intense. And Summer was...Well Summer was confusing as hell. He spent a lot of time with Lexi, but it had gotten to the point where he needed to take a break. It wasn't that he couldn't be around Lexi, it was just hard for him to be. She was Jake's girl, or old girl, and he had not a chance in hell with her, at all, he knew that it was just hard to accept, especially when she was around being well...Lexi all the time. He packed up for school, sitting down on the foot of his bed, listening to Ariana come up the stairs from her 'secret' meeting with Noah, he waited till she passed out to text Noah, sending him: 'Hey man, we should talk, nothing bad, or anything I just miss you I guess.' he hit send and then cocked his head to the side, listening to see who was awake for the night, sweet. Ethan. He rested his head knowing he had a long drive tomorrow, but the second he closed his eyes only one face came to mind, Lexi. - The drive had been long, but Ariana kept him company while the two boys were passed out in the backseat. Ariana had bought a car in Mystic Falls, which was a rather good idea seeing as all she had to do was pick it up from the dealership. All in all, things were falling into place, and Isaac was okay with the whole 'college' thing. He immediately watched as Lexi joined Ariana, he waved to the brunette, accompanied by a smile before he turned to get his suitcases and bags, as well as Ethan's. How suspicious did it look that their group had managed everything with to trips? It wasn't like anyone was going to accuse them on superhuman strength or anything. Getting used to the place was an uneasy task, and the three faces that bombarded themselves onto their group within an hour of them being here had proved that theory. Doppelgangers. Dead give away that this town was rigged or swarming or something, Isaac's guard was up, not just for his pack either.
Come class time, Isaac had already completely lost his ******** mind in the land of confusing. What kind of profession did he choose?! He thought maybe there'd be a little bit of relief but no. No. Of course not. School was supposed to be hard, and apparently want to make you kill yourself and- He glanced up mid mental panic attack as his eyes landed on a blonde guy, it was Jason one of his roommates, and he was rather relieved to see him, he looked smart. He exhaled and offered the seat next to him with a smile, "Hey man." he greeted watching him sit down. Jason seemed like a cool dude, really, really, really nice, but a really cool dude, and frankly Isaac seemed grateful he wasn't stuck with a Amanda-Michelle doppelganger, that would have really kicked off the semester. Isaac thought about Lexi for a moment, the university was too big for him to hear everything, and there were so many noises to drown out, he couldn't hear Lexi or Ariana and that left him a little uneasy. "Hey, how's it going?" Isaac looked up to him and shrugged slightly, replying that it was just a drastic change, and like all change it was going to take some getting used to. They held up idle conversation until the glass orientation began. Human Sexual Behavior, was held by Professor St. Valens, short version= Klaus. Klaus was blunt, speaking firm and had a fairly good grasp at getting people to listen and understand what he was saying. The class was still, and once the 'get to know' whoever came up, Isaac glanced to Zack who was next to him, "Viper's dad?" Zack nodded and looked to Isaac's work, their voices blending in with the other muffled sound in the giant room, "Yeah. The last time I saw him he disowned one son, choked Malia out, then disowned the other, he's not necessarily one of the good guys. But he reminded me of Peter a bit. ******** Peter." Isaac laughed a bit and nodded, "Have you heard anything from Peter?" Zack shook his head, "No, you're the one who dated his daughter...or two out of three." Isaac scoffed lightly and looked to the desk, "You slept with her, two out of three." Zack shrugged, "You did too." Isaac watched him for a moment, staring at his face before he nodded, "Touche." Jake glanced back at them giving Isaac a 'wtf' look, but Isaac just shrugged, it was a new year, a new town, a new school, a new stage in their lives, besides Emma wasn't even a thing, she was around sure, but Zack wasn't seeing her, and neither was he. If anything, Isaac agreed that it was a shitty thing for Zack to do to Kira, but he had been alone for most of the summer, he paid his dues, well Viper was with him as well as Dex, Ryder, and Malia, but no one from his family even spoke to him, and his parents died, and Isaac pitied him honestly. Aside from all the douche-ness, Zack was kind of a good guy, or he tried to be, he was struggling, and Isaac could see that, so he cut him a little slack and he was Noah's brother. Zack glanced over at Isaac again, showing him an amateur doodle of Klaus with fangs and a tail and Isaac snorted loud causing half the class to turn and look up at him, he looked around and blinked, "Sorry." Zack smiled, and when everyone turned back around Zack whispered, "I don't think I'm the best at drawing snakes." Isaac glanced back to the doodle and laughed silently, "Dude, don't get yourself killed, especially over a stick figure with fangs and a tail." Zack shrugged, "Wouldn't be the biggest loss... But, hey what are you majoring in?" Isaac stared at him, "I'm working up to Vet Tech, what do you mean the biggest loss?" Zack shook his head, "It was a joke, haha..And oh cool, do you have a lot of science and stuff?" Isaac kept his eyes on Zack, he obviously didn't want to talk about this so called 'joke', so he'd corner him later about it, "Yeah."
Come lunch, things were working out fairly well for their group, once Lexi joined the lunch table, people came and went, but for the most part it was a solid good time, till Ariana went to get up, once she walked away, some guy stopped her, physically. He narrowed his eyes and glanced to Lexi, "Is that the guy who wrote on her notebook?" he questioned. Once she answered he glanced back over, listening in, giving her props for how she blew him off with ease, he didn't stand up until he sensed him shift, so he was a wolf, "One second." he stated to the others before moving over to the other two. He glanced at the guy she addressed as Justin both going back and forth, things escalated once Justin started speaking about the people at the table, he kept a low growl rising in the back of his throat, and once he passive aggressive-ly brought Lexi up, he snarled, stepping forward. Justin tried to back pedal a bit, and once his attention was focused back on Ariana, he began to push Isaac more, it wasn't until he set his unwelcomed hand on her shoulder Isaac had it, sending his fist flying through the air letting it collide with Justin jaw. He successfully split his lip and stood up after giving him a 'oh, well then' look, "Now you've made an enemy." Ariana moved to walk behind Isaac as he nodded his head down, "As have you." Once he sat back down at the table, he let out a sigh, "So where's the notebook he wrote on?" he questioned. Ariana looked to Lexi, "Lexi took it, thankfully." Isaac nodded and then Ariana continued, "Drew over the number and everything." Isaac internally sighed, there went his plan. Unless he could still get it, all he'd need to do was get the notebook as well as a piece of paper and a pencil. He nodded, "Good." he looked to Damon then who raised an eyebrow, that was when Damon's phone vibrated, Isaac: 'We need to get rid of that guy. He's already causing problems.' Once he read the message he nodded, texting back quickly, Damon: 'Get the phone number and consider it done.'
After school, he went to his dorm, then over to Lexi's. Ariana had gone to Noah's, Kira was hanging out with Jake and Rian had just left for a date, figured, she had been here all of one day and had a date. He stepped in and glanced around, locating Lexi's bag first, he smiled to her, "So I was thinking we could go explore the town today, I here there's this Grill, we could go get food, come back and get ready for that party tonight? I know everyone's planning on going, so I figured why not." Once she complied, he smiled and then moved closer to her bag, wanting her to have absolutely no part of this mission that could be dangerous for her, or anyone involved. He looked at her, "I suggest you go to the bathroom, we're taking the truck on a drive first, and as Ariana's pointed out I apparently don't stop for bathroom breaks." he said with a smile. Once she went, he moved for her bag, taking the notebook out, flipping over the cover, placing the sheet of paper on the back and shading the indents, essentially getting the number within seconds. He closed the book and wrote the number forwards then sent it to Damon and texted 'Make sure he's there tonight.' Damon agreed and he slid Lexi's notebook away right before she came back in. He looked at her and pulled the keys to his truck out of his pocket, "Ready?" He followed her out the dorm room, to the parking lot and into the truck, climbing in and turning on the music, once Raindrops came on he hesitated for a moment, wanting to change it, he didn't want to think of Korra right now, he couldn't deal with it, and this was their song. He drove out of the parking lot and onto the highway, rolling down the windows, and opening the sun roof for the sunset, putting on his sunglasses and rolling down the street onto the highway. He remembered how it was for him and Korra, and when Damon got messed up, it made the compulsion a little bit weaker if not barely there. He missed her a lot, but he was slowly getting over it on his own. Flashbacks from the night at the homecoming dance moved into his mind and he let out a heavy sigh, pressing the gas pedal looking over as she smiled and laughed, knowing she was having a great time. He smiled back at her handing her his phone, "Choose the next one?" he offered. She had taken his phone while Raindrops continued, the moment where he first kissed Korra moved into his mind, but within seconds a different song came on and he smiled wider, flooring it.
The wind blew crazily and the truck flew down the highway, he laughed as they both sang along before he stopped the truck, u-turning into the other lane and heading fast back to town, letting Lexi play whatever songs she wanted. They arrived at the Mystic Falls Grill after a while, getting take out, then parking on the side of the highway. He had pulled into a clear field with a dirt road, the sunset still in the sky, orange, pink, and yellow streaking through the purple sky as they ate food in the back of the truck blaring music. He grinned at her and took two water bottles out of a plastic bag handing her one and taking a drink of his before looking next to her, "So, did you have a good first day?" he questioned. She smiled and shrugged a bit, "It as about as decent as a freshman's first day goes. Up till now of course. Now it's something worth remembering." "Good." He smiled back to her, his eyes moving down to her lips as he slowly leaned in, raising his hand to cradle her jaw, not quite making contact. This was it, this was the moment of truth, either she was going to laugh at him, slap him, or in a crazy reality go along with it, or...Or, Damon was going to text him. He exhaled and moved away, pulling his phone out and scanning the message, 'All set for tonight, Justin's meeting some girl named Tiffany at the party, lets just say she didn't necessarily have a choice. Meet me soon.' Isaac typed on his screen, 'Sounds good. See you in a bit.' he hit send and then turned to Lexi, "We should go, Ethan wants to talk before we go to the party, so..." He cleaning up the back of the truck before getting in the front seat with Lexi, he held his phone in case Damon texted him again, he didn't want her finding out about anything, at all whatsoever. It probably seemed a bit sketchy, but it was for the best.
* * *
Once they arrived at the Townhouse party he immediately got a drink and glanced around for Damon, but once Lexi wanted to dance he shot back a few shots. Dancing. Not a strong suit. He could jump, and jam out behind the wheel of a vehicle, so he'd just pull those moves. Tonight I'm Loving You came on, and he twirled her in the middle of the dance area. The place did well with decorations, it was in the fully furnished basment which was huge, it was almost like it was built to party in, hardwood floors, black walls, and lights hung all over. He moved with Lexi for a bit, somehow managing to get the lead, his hand that was usually placed above the small of her back had happily found it's way to her waist. He smiled at her removing the distance between them and pressing their hips together as On The Floor came on he leaned Lexi back, holding her waist as he raised her back up, letting his lips trail up along her sternum to her neck before grabbing her hands, lacing their fingers together and wrapping her arms around his waist. Isaac leaned down trailing his lips back down and up her neck, along her jaw and towards her lips till Damon tapped on his shoulder. He turned his head to see Damon angling his head to Justin leaving the basement with Tiffany on his arm. Isaac looked back to Lexi and frowned, "I..Uh I have to go see someone, I'll see you in a bit? I'll be back." He reluctantly moved her arms off him and smoothed her shoulder before moving away from her and towards the staircase. He followed Damon upstairs, looking at him when he motioned to two wolfs bane syringes he had in his jacket, "Figured it would come in handy." Isaac stepped back, "Careful." Damon rolled his eyes, "I'm not going to accidentally stab you with wolfs bane Isaac, stop being paranoid." Isaac grimaced and followed him towards the backdoor, he looked around, "Where'd he go-?" The wolf was sent flying into the secluded backyard and Damon ran next to him, turning to see Justin standing there, walking slowly after them. Damon narrowed his eyes, while Isaac stood up, "What are you doing?" Justin cocked his head and smiled slightly, "Oh, I'm sorry, did you think me you had me? I'm glad it worked though, that was too easy. See Tiffany here is an ally of my pack, practice witchcraft, all that gory stuff. See she's kind of immune you could say, to your compulsion, so when you got her to call my number to lure me to a party, she grew a little suspicious. You're not the only with loyal friends Isaac. But yeah, I'm pretty happy you decided to do this here and now, saves me the trouble of killing you on my own." Damon narrowed his eyes, watching as Justin approached, "Watch your back Damon." Damon turned to see another wolf, he rose the syringe, aiming for his shoulder, but the wolf was quick, grabbing Isaac and using him as a shield.
Damon's eyes widened as the needle plunged into Isaac's neck the wolf shoved Damon back and emptied the entire needle into Isaac, then threw him forward. He supported Isaac's weight and moved backwards while trying to take a defensive stance, Isaac cough and groaned in pain, moving to his knees. Damon guided him down and looked up at Justin who smirked, "I see our friend there has been drinking a bit tonight, tell me Isaac were you that confident that you'd kill me?" Damon stepped in front of Isaac scowling while Justin scoffed, so Damon darted at him first, shoving him backwards and grabbing his throat he slammed him to the ground while Justin looked up, "I'm giving you a chance to walk away Damon, my beef isn't with you." Damon tilted his eyes, "Yeah, it is." Justin sighed and shifted then, his blue eyes shining bright, "Very well then." He kicked Damon upwards who landed it, and ran at him again, trying to get the syringe out of his pocket, but he had no opportunities. He swung, and dodged at and from Justin before he stopped as Justin's other wolf who had been by Isaac threw a stake at him entering directly through his chest. He gasped and held onto Justin, "You're gonna lose this one." Damon being Damon gathered his strength and faked him out. He stepped back and removed the stake quickly, turning and whipping the stake at the wolf by Isaac who was out cold on the ground, it landed in his neck and he went down within seconds. Damon smirked at Justin and the darted appearing behind Tiffany, he bit into her neck harshly drinking so he could heal himself quick then snapped her neck and pushed her down to the ground, "What makes you so sure? Because if you ask me the odds are in my favor." Justin roared before snapping, "You're going to regret that." Damon scoffed, "Let me guess, now I've made an enemy?" Justin ran at Damon, ready to bite into him, but Isaac was there in an instant, slipping in between them and taking the bite for Damon. Isaac screamed as a chunk of skin was taken from he other side of his neck, but shoved Justin back. Justin went to attack again, but a howl sounded the night, not from their pack, but Justin's, they knew there had been casualties, and they weren't happy. Damon moved down to the ground with the wolf and looked at the bite that wasn't healing, he let out a sigh, "Why aren't you healing?" Isaac was barely conscious, "...drank...and the ...bane." Damon watched him, "Why did you do that?" Isaac's eyelids fluttered coming in and out of it, "Fatal...for...y-you." Damon shook Isaac a bit, "Stay with me kid, stay awake. Do you hear me, keep your eyes open."
Isaac was completely non responsive. Damon positioned Isaac's body on his lap, but got defensive once footsteps sounded behind him, he realized it was Lexi and his teeth retracted. He wasn't about to explain himself, if he was going to make a legitimate lie for Isaac if he survived, he would keep the details on the low. Lexi took Isaac, which Damon was less than thrilled about, he cradled him, trying to listen to his heart, she was panicking, and honestly Damon had no freaking idea what to do. "I need to try something." She pulled him back some, "What?! What are you gonna do?! I don't know if vampire blood will hurt him or help him, but I'm not gonna risk it! We wait for Derek." Derek moved forward, "If I fed him my blood that would most likely send his entire body into shock. It wouldn't be able to handle all of the substance, that's like mixing and anti-depressant with a depressant, he'd be sent into a coma or something." She took a breath, keeping her breath on Isaac, saying she couldn't risk anything and thanks for the concern, then began to tell him not to die on her. "I'm not waiting for Derek. Derek is god knows where right now. I have an idea, but you need to let me do it now, or he is going to die within minutes do you understand me? You can let me try to suck the wolfs bane out, or you can wait for Derek. But if he dies that's on you, not me!" His voice was raised, only because he was now beginning to panic, "Give me an answer, your wasting his time." This was Noah's best friend, Derek's first beta, and this was his fault. He stared at Lexi urgently, as she thought for a split second noticing Derek was still out of range, she looked up with teary eyes, "Do it. Please." Damon moved Isaac into his lap, his back against his chest, then tilted his head to where the syringe went in. Right on the jugular. He hesitated for a moment, as soon as he bit in he would control his blood flow, meaning he had to heal him, at least a little bit, it was risky, but as long as the wolfs bane was out of his system it would be possible. He bit into Isaac's next them, the blood flowing into his mouth, every gulp getting cleaner and cleaner. Thankfully, being a wolf, he had a lot of blood, though he was getting paler and paler. Finally, the blood tasted clean, wolf-y, and pure. He broke from his neck then, leaning back, ordering Lexi to put pressure on his neck while he bit into his wrist and force fed Isaac his blood. He was still pale, and out of it, but the wounds on his neck healed. His heart started to pick up a bit, and his eyes opened slightly his hand weakly gripping Lexi's. Damon passed him off to her, and he simply laid his head in his lamp, his skin white and translucent.
Once Derek, Ariana, Jake, Ethan, Axel, Noah and a few select others had stood around as Damon dragged the dead bodies, he turned to them all, "Oh hey there." he greeted. Derek spoke, obviously, in a non friendly tone, "What happened?" Damon dropped the arm to one of the bodies nonchalantly and let out a sigh, "Well, once upon a time. There's was a big bad wolf who tried to play alpha today. I figured before he went after Isaac again, I'd take care of him. I thought I'd roast the creep before he got his chance. So! I came here, attacked, lost the upper hand, thankfully Isaac heard me, they got him down, but I took care of him, Ariana's new little boy-toy has a nipping problem though, so Isaac took it for me. He's okay though. Poison free, and on the road to recovery." Derek had his arms across his chest to put distance between them, he narrowed his eyes and glared at Damon. "Any witnesses to back up your story? Anyone here willing to speak for you?" Damon glanced to Lexi then who had a look of realization, "Isaac left Lexi on the dance floor. I'm not sure, you would have to question her about it." Derek turned to look at the brunette who was still on the ground, covered in Isaac's blood, hanging onto him closely. "Lex. What happened? You need to tell me." Lexi turned her eyes back down to the beta in her arms, keeping her heartbeat even. "Isaac and I were dancing, like Damon said...we heard him call out and Isaac left. Told me to stay inside so I wouldn't get hurt, so I did, and I shouldn't have. I'm sorry." Derek sighed heavily and nodded before glancing back at Damon. "Fine." Damon nodded and then let out a sigh, "I advice you go back to your happy college lives, while I take care of the bodies, it's kind of a specialty of mine." he said with a smirk, "You have a good night, bye now."
