Junko chewed anxiously at the end of her pen. Everything was planned out. Well, nearly everything. Now she was going over the guest list she and Seiji had laid out together a long while ago. Xiu adored working at the cafe, but that didn't mean that she didn't appreciate those rare days off. She took a sip of her tea as she lounged on the couch, an open book sitting in her lap. Languidly flipping through the pages, the ghoul immediately glanced up when she heard her phone buzz. One look at the screen, and her face lit up. Setting her cup on the table, her fingers moved rapidly across the screen as she typed back a reply. Eight Text to: Junko

When Xiu replied, Junko gave a squeal of delight. Yes, finally! She had been neglecting her relationships outside of work and Seiji for far, far, far too long! Clapping her hands, Junko quickly wrote out a reply of her own. Kaiyumi Text to: Xiu

She couldn't remember the last time the two of them actually got to hang out. When she tried to think about it, all she could remember was that....Love Squad thing. It was so silly thinking about it now, but to think that it had been so long! It felt like it was only yesterday when they were joking around with Lizzy and Levi.
Xiu felt a wave of nostalgia wash over her, but she shook it off when her phone buzzed again.Eight Text to: Junko

She could no longer spend her day off lazing around, but Xiu hardly cared about that. It was definitely worth it if it meant that she'd get to see Junko again. They had so much to catch up on! It wasn't even until she saw her friend's text back did she realize that the other ghoul hadn't even known about her cafe. Jack, where did all that time go?Eight Text to: Junko

Since she lived so close, it didn't take her long until she arrived. She kept the sign turned to "Closed", but left the door open a crack so that Junko would know that she could come in once she arrived. Dropping her things on one of the chairs, Xiu made her way into the kitchen and started on some tea.

Junko honestly wasn't at all surprised that Xiu ran a cafe, it just seemed to be the natural course that ghoul would take. She was very excited to see her again, it had been far too long since she had spent time with her friends outside of Seiji. She followed the directions to the letter, humming cheerfully to herself as she approached the door with the right address. Yes, this was it! The door was even ajar. Smiling, Junko stepped in, closing and locking the door behind her so no one would think it was an open invitation. "Xiu?" She called out as she wandered about the cafe, looking all around her with excited glee. It was so cute! Perfect for Xiu.

Brightening when the bells above the doorway tinkled to indicate that someone had entered, Xiu poked her head out of the kitchen. Her gaze immediately found the familiar figure standing at the door, and her heart leapt in excitement. "Junko!"
She rushed out to give her friend a huge hug, her tail whipping behind her. She couldn't remember the last time she had actually seen the other ghoul, and she held onto her for a good few seconds before laughing and drawing back. "I'm so glad to see you! You're as pretty as ever, I see!"
Remembering her manners at the last minute, Xiu turned and gestured towards the tables. "Come in, come in! Feel free to choose any table! I have some cake and tea prepared which I'll bring out in a moment!"

There she was! Junko squealed with delight, bouncing from one foot to the other with excitement and opening her arms out to her friend as the other ghoul ran toward her. Xiu was wrapped up in a tight hug, though Junko thankfully didn't have the strength to give her a crushing hug, and she swayed side to side with the ghoul as if trying to keep her balance without stumbling too much. When finally Xiu drew back she was still grinning ear to ear, her head nodding vigorously. "Yes, yes! You too! Let me look at you~!" She drew back to look her friend up and down, giving a nod that could likely be taken as approval. Yes, good. She looked acceptable. As Xiu played hostess Junko couldn't help but laugh good naturedly. "Any table? Goodness, I don't know which one I'll choose, it's so crowded today~!" She teased before choosing the table nearest her. She sat down and took a moment to look around, still very impressed with what Xiu had managed to accomplish, apparently.

Although she had already woken up that day in a fairly good mood, Xiu was feeling quite ecstatic now. From the little bounce in her step and the grin on her face, she almost felt like seeing Junko again was the equivalent to having downed ten energy drinks...only considerably less detrimental to her physical health.
Laughing as well, she lifted a hand and gave it an airy wave. "You get the cafe all to yourself today! Which I guess is good for both of us, since it means that I actually have time to chat with you instead of having to run back and forth!" Xiu grinned, and then swept into the kitchen to retrieve the promised cake and tea. Upon emerging, she moved over to Junko's selected table and began to set everything down.
"So! How have you been lately?" It was a generic question, she knew, but she was genuinely curious since it had been so long.
