Zyk perched precariously on the rails of Zinnia's podium. The pigtailed girl ruffled the fur on her dutiful crobat's head, and he made a chittering sound that was not unlike a purr. "You ready, bud?" she asked. "CroBAT!" Zyk said. "Then go get 'em!" Zyk needed no further encouragement; he launched himself into the air over the stadium.

Lenore entered the stadium with Urabrask at her side. Although they hadn't been having much luck, they weren't going to give up.

Zyk closed his eyes against the dazzling lights. Having spent so long as a zubat, relying on his ears over his eyes was second nature to him. He located his target and tried to slap him with a wing.

Giving up on trying to confuse Zyk, Lenore called out a new command. "Shadow Ball!"
As he was hit again, blood trickled out of his carapace and Urabrask formed it into a sphere that he sent lurching towards the crobat.

Zyk was beginning to wonder just how much blood could fit inside an empty shell. He decided that he'd rather not know; even if his natural diet consisted mostly of blood, he knew that whatever was coming out of Urabrask was not appetizing.
He flew forward to strike his opponent again.

Lenore knew there was no chance for Urabrask to win now, so she decided that they may as well go out with a bang. "Final Gambit!"
The shedinja remained motionless for a moment after being hit by the wing attack, but with increasing speed, blood shot forth from his carapace - not a whole lot, as he had taken a fair amount of damage, but enough to hurt.

The last attack shook Zyk to his core, but he managed to wing his way back to Zinnia. "You did great!" she said to the crobat. "Let's rest up at the pokemon center." She waved to Lenore and scurried out of the stadium so they could meet back up and go to the center together.
