Zinnia and Zebo stepped into their places on the field. Zin was smiling, and Zebo's tail twitched in anticipation. "Good luck!" Zinnia called across the stadium to the other trainer. There was nothing quite like a healthy battle to lift her spirits.

Merope was more observant than her trainer and peeped at her foe.

"I hunger for your life energy," Merope said, in perfect monotone. Fluttering like old underwear in the breeze, she swooped towards Zebo with a draining Leech Life.

Zebo dodged the leech life-- he hated bug-type attacks-- and unsheathed his claws. He sharpened them on the stadium floor, eyeing the golbat all the while.

Merope flapped to avoid hitting the ground, angling herself as she returned to the air to avoid any attacks that may come her way. Seeing none, she flew back towards the Liepard with another Leech Life.

An ethereal glow appeared around the liepard's freshly sharpened claws. He winced from his life force being drained, then sprang for the flying pokemon. He hoped that his claws would be able to reach Merope.

The liepard's blow landed, much to her chagrin. The force of it sent her crashing into the wall, and she gripped onto the newly-made cracks with her feet. Pulling her ears back, she sent Leech Life in his direction.

((I'm refreshing the stadium forum, so it's not necessary to quote me, hehe. But I don't mind either way. FYI, Leech Life recovers 25% of the damage dealt, so you'd be at 737.5 HP.))

((Sounds good! And I got [100 Base Damage (Golbat is 1x to Ghost attacks) + 50 Hone Claws - 37 Leech Life = 113 Total] damage? The last time I talked to Panda about it, decimals were rounded down, but I know not everyone does that so I'm pretty SHRUG about it haha.))
Merope leaped off of her resting spot, but not fast enough. Zebo's claws scraped against her wing as she made her escape, though thankfully the damage was minor enough that she was still able to fly. She screeched at him, trying to gather more energy.

((Ahaha no worries, it's my first time battling in a while, so I have to GOOGLE EVERYTHING.))
Zebo's earlier attack had nicked Merope's wing, making it more difficult for her to maneuver in the air. His next blow caught her dead on, and she was unable to recover from it quickly. With desperate energy, she aimed Leech Life at him.

((Edit: I think Zebo has +100 HP? Should have been 700HP as opposed to 600HP earlier on.))
Unable to fly high, Merope was easy pickings for Zebo's reaching paws. Though she suffered his attacks, however, she tried to remain aloft. It wouldn't do for her to be smacked by both him and the floor. Flitting close, she tried another Leech Life.
