Excitable Zealot

It felt good to be by himself, just walking with no goal in mind, no burden to endure. Oh he knew it would be only a few days before his father's Kinfa would find him and herd him back to the caravan. But for now? Now he was enjoying the scenery and making note of the changes along the border of Jauhar. It was one thing to know that the land changed, slipping from one type of scenery to another, and another thing to see it with your own eyes.

He didn't think he'd ever get used to it, and if he did, he'd just make sure to come back during a different season.

The Shifter strode up to a path marker, peering up at the words carved and then painted onto the sign. So many roads he could take, a literal crossroad. Above him Dakri perched on the top, whistling down at him as he curled his tail as much as he could, around the sign that pointed towards Tale.

Chuckling Kdal shook his head, "No silly, we just came from there." He called, not expecting the familiar to reply or otherwise react to his words.

The first steps always seemed the hardest, but now was the time to start if any. It felt like he had traversed all of Jauhar’s wonders through his wanderings, all except the border. Being one that enjoyed the roads less travelled, it was odd to walk along one well traversed by travelers. He had heard of this being one that was scouted by the alkidikes, but it wasn’t a concern to him. Especially with Siern at his side.

“What do you think of this, Siern?” he never expected the radaku to really make any notion of listening, he was truly happy to even have him even following along. His lady friends must be out and about, the shifter thought with a grin.

The trees slowly and subtly began to become more spread apart, noting impending border. He knew of a crossroads coming up, at least that’s what he had been told by his parents. They were worried, but they knew that he wasn’t one to stay in the nest. If he didn’t actually leave today, he still wouldn’t be coming home for a while. The world was his to explore. As he came across the crossing, he was surprised to find another wanderer, a shifter at that too. “Hello there!”
