Inhaling the warm, faintly sweet-scented air, Chariklo closed her eyes and smiled from pure joy. She was healing well enough from the awful ambush and she was certain that she could feel the starseed within pulsing and humming gleefully as if testing itself now that it was no longer coated by a freaky mirror parasite.

Of course, that notion was nonsense, but the tall blonde liked it. It was certainly how she was feeling at the moment. She was free of the Chaos taint and more than willing to test whatever limits she might have. Though, as she understood it, physically and magically her abilities hadn't changed. No, this was just her soul dancing around and being a cheerful little daisy.

How on earth were her friends able to stand her?

Her friends... For a moment Chariklo frowned. There were still friends within the mirror court that she owed explanations and apologies to. Well, now that she could go to space, maybe offering to take them with her for a field trip would help soothe over any hurt feelings. Not that she'd gone yet. As happy as she was, the idea of magically teleporting into space frightened her a little bit. But oh, she wanted to go badly.

Giving her head an irritable shake, the senshi of seagulls sighed and muttered to herself.

"You worry too damn much, girlfrand."

The Eternal Senshi of Vengeance had not been seen much in the streets or rooftops of Destiny City. Once she had patrolled diligently enough to be a familiar face to many of the up and rising youngsters that she counted herself amongst, and now? She had spent too much time being angry, bitter and unsocial, uncertain as to how to fit back into things, if she even could. Now she had other things that drove her forward...

She had powered up that evening because she had missed the bus that would have taken her from the part of town where she had gotten a job back to her flat and it was faster to leap from rooftop to rooftop than it was to wait at the stop, probably safer too, given what she had been wearing as a civilian. Cordelia had set her headphones down on the ground as she had transformed, picking them up and putting them back on afterwards, leaving one bud out so she could still hear anything that might require her attention while in this form. Climbing up the fire escape she paused to stretch before taking a running leap from one roof to the next.

The rather sudden appearance of an aura she didn't know made Chariklo freeze briefly in her tracks. After a moment, she relaxed. It belonged to Order. Therefore, much less likely to try and kill her. After another moment's concentration, she decided that this new person was roughly as strong as she was. And on the heels of that thought, curiosity rose up and informed her that she simply had to go and introduce herself.

Taking to her own rooftop path, she tried to tally up those who knew about her. Not many. Certainly no one from the Negaverse yet. Most of the Dark Mirrors had to know by now. Whether or not any other White Moon senshi or Knights had gotten the memo, well. She'd find out in pretty shirt order.

Humming softly to herself, Chariko homed in on the strange aura, determined to try and make herself a new friend.

Not paying full attention to her surroundings was one of her many shortcomings as a sailor scout. Corvus was blissfully oblivious to the presence of another powered individual approacing until Chariklo was nearly atop her.

Skidding to a halt she pulled her buds out of her ears, tucking the cords down into her bodice before trying to find the source of the sudden surge she felt. Titties were indeed pockets during extreme circumstances...

Arriving just in time to see the other woman stash something inside her cleavage, Chariklo felt a wide grin flicker across her face before she started to laugh helplessly. It wasn't particularly polite, but it was still happening.

"Oh my sweet ********," she gasped as she closed the last few feet of distance between them. "I never thought I'd see someone else using the same approach to stow and go as me."

Her best friendly smile now firmly in place, Chariklo paused and checked herself. She couldn't just go barging up to people. Particularly strange people. Not yet. So, even though her impulses wanted nothing more than to poke and prod at this other senshi, Chariklo behaved and settled for sticking her hand out.

"Sorry, I'm still getting used to being one of you lot. Name's Chariklo."

Then, she blinked and actually looked at the other woman. She was... little! Well, little in height at any rate.

"Oh my god," she muttered in sheer delight. "You're fun sized!"[/sized]

Her eyes narrowed with extreme distrust groomed by years of being a Sailor Scout during some of the most difficult times that Destiny City had seen. It was sad, really, that when it all boiled down she had such mixed feelings about meeting others who played for the same side as she did. She couldn't let them get close enough to become friends because friends meant pain and failure... But she knew first hand how dangerous it was to work alone.

"Eternal Sailor Corvus." She would go with formality, offering her hand in return if only because she knew that if the other was going to attack her, for whatever reason, her own abilities would only trigger if she was hurt first.

"... What do you mean you're still getting used to 'being one of you lot'. You're an eternal senshi. Haven't you been doing this for a while? Or are the cats desperate enough that they're powering people up without training them right again?"

Grinning as she shook the offered hand, Chariklo had to fight down the urge to reach out to pat the shorter woman on the head.

"Well, you could say I was batting for a different team for a while," she stated easily. "Are you serious about the cat thing, though? Did they really try automatic power ups on someone?"

If they had, she was going to have to track Liryn down and have a heart to heart about how that wasn't cool. Still, in her delight at meeting someone new, she pushed the thought aside and focused on the chick in front of her.

"That corset," she said matter-of-factly, "is fabulous. So are the feathery bits. I know there's a Raven b***h over in the Negaverse, so you can't be ravens. So... crows? Blackbirds? Help a girl out here, Fun Size."

"Vengeance." Her tone was flat and her eyes remained narrow. Corvus had never heard of a Senshi of Ravens and it was likely for the best. It might have tempted her to get a glimpse of them and the last thing she needed was one more person on the dark side to feel some sort of a connection with.

"When I was first awakened there were a number of scouts running around that didn't know a damn thing about the power they were given to wield. Wake them up and send them running off to face their doom and it's all good as long as they don't expose themselves and wind up corrupted. It was a mess. I'm certain it hasn't gotten any better..."

Not that she had done anything to help with that...

Ducking her head slightly to hide the amusement twinkling in her eyes, Chariklo coughed a little.

"Well, aren't you just Little miss Sunshine. Jesus, the way you were talkin', I thought there were scores of cats going around and creating Insta-Eternals."

Looked like she wouldn't need to have that heart-to-heart with Liryn after all.

"Honey, even if the furballs told anyone anything, we'd all still be running off to our doom. And since I have no idea what things were like on your side when you were starting out, I can't really offer much in the way of comfort or assurance. I can, however, state that y'all need to stop having meetings. White Moon meetings are famous for being a hot ******** mess."

She left it at that, figuring that telling this chick that she'd interrupted one such meeting in her time and pummeled the s**t out of any knight or senshi possible probably wouldn't earn her any friendship points. Instead she took out her upgraded senshi phone and allowed her lips to quirk into a fond smile.

"Wanna swap digits or anything? Liryn was a sweetie and hooked me up with this sweet phone and I haven't really done much with it since.

"Possibly, but at least we would be educated about the doom we were running off to. Not that I've seen a whole lot of doom as of late." Things had either changed considerably, again, or she simply didn't know where to go looking for 'doom' anymore.

"If you would like to scan me with your phone you may. It doesn't hurt to have allies in a pinch... You'll forgive me if I'm not as open to giving you my civilian information, I hope. Slumber parties and pillow fights are considerably more fun than youma and the dark side of the force, but I've been burned more than once by letting work get too close."

She didn't disagree that White Moon meetings were a 'hot ******** mess'. That was something she could get behind and fully support. They were never properly organized and, more often than not, condescending.

Chariklo was skeptical.

"Maybe," she said cautiously. "But even the people who do know s**t aren't exactly forthcoming about it. And trust me on this one, it's out there. It's just learned how to better hide itself."

She couldn't keep the bitterness out of her own voice on that one. The masquerade at New Years and that nightmarish Fun House were proof enough of that. That poor, baby senshi they'd twisted and warped...

Shuddering, Chariklo forced herself to smile and held up her phone, hitting the app that would also her to scan Fun Size in.

"But the slumber parties where you gotta fight youma are so much fun! And then afterwards we can paint our nails and play Dream Date."

She couldn't quite keep the mocking tone from her voice, though deep down she understood where this girl was coming from. It was too easy for bad s**t to happen if someone knew who you were during off hours.

"So now what, Fun Size? Got any fun stories or advice for a White Moon newb?"

She felt her own phone buzz that a contact had been updated to it, ignoring it for the moment in favor of answering the other young woman's questions. "The best advice I have is to find someone you work well with and stick together, although that's not necessarily the advice that I've been practicing lately. What they told us, back at the first meeting, was that alone we're vulnerable; easier to pick off and take down. We were meant to work together..."

She snorted softly, crossing her arms over her chest as she shook her head. "Sometimes I think they're just as full of s**t now as I did back then, and that was five... Six years ago?" That snort turned into a soft laugh that brought the traces of a devilish smile. "... I'm sure most scouts would rather play Pretty Pretty Princess than Dream Date."

Laughing outright at Corvus' devilish smile, Chariklo reached out and play punched the other woman's shoulder.

"I like you. You're almost as good at sassin' as me. Seriously though, if just working together was all it took, you'd think people would've got the message by now."

It was something that bothered her more than she liked to admit. Those on the side of Order really were terribly scattered compared to the Dark Mirrors and the Negaverse. It was not a good situation to be in. And, at least according to those unwelcome 'memories' of hers, it was that lack of cohesion that allowed everything to fly merrily to hell.

"I 'unno, Fun Size. Seems like there should be some way to hit back at 'em and make 'em hurt. I promised someone once that I was going to help rip the Negaverse down stone by stone if I had to. I haven't forgotten that promise. What'd'ya think? You in?"

There was a hint of challenge in her grin. Maybe all it took to really fight back was just deciding to do it and finding someone willing to go along for the ride.

"They don't get the picture because there's more to it than just that. Anyone can team up against a common enemy. Anyone can work together. It doesn't become more than that unless you have a common goal, though, and that's what our enemy has that we don't. They have a goal. Us?" She snorted, shaking her head.

"If we had one when I was awakened I couldn't tell you what it's become now..." A puff of air was blown up and Corvus shook her head once more. "I'm all for taking them apart, but I have my own personal code when it comes to that. I don't kill. Won't. Life is too precious to be wasted unless absolutely necessary. There can be redemption..." If she could redeem herself there had to be a way to redeem those they fought against still.

"If that's something you're alright with, I'm in."

Frowning slightly, Chariklo managed to hold her tongue as Corvus explained her no killing stance. This was a potential ally. One didn't flip out on potential allies. Emotions flickered across her face as she kept silent for a moment.

Well... okay. So there were maybe one or two that she didn't want to see killed off hand. Titan... Titan had been kind to her when the Negaverse had kidnapped Hver. He'd helped. And just through the grapevine, she knew of others who'd purified. So. Corvus had a point.

Still.

"Personal codes are fine and dandy," she said softly, her mind's eye filling with visions of being trapped in that damned mountain ride. Of that future. Of Bianca sprawled, dead, at the foot of a bell tower, her starseed ripped out only after she'd been tortured. "But trust me in this. There are those you will never redeem. They don't want to be redeemed. They want to hurt people and enjoy it. And those ******** are rabid goddamn dogs that need to be put down."

Her face hardened briefly as her teeth ground audibly.

"If I can stop another Bischofite from happening, I am going to take every step possible to do just that. You said you've been out of things for a while, yeah? Well, I haven't. And I've seen a lot more of the Negaverse in action than I like. I'm all for saving those who can be saved, but the rest burn. Fair?"
