The liepard brushed against his trainer's leg before leaping fluidly down to his place on the field. "Good luck," Zin said to her pokemon. It felt good to be battling again.

Algol swooped into the stadium and landed before Cetus. The Galactic grunt looked completely unamused to be battling again.
"Better make this quick, featherbutt," she told her Flying-type. Algol simply ignored her.

"We'll go first! Scratch!" Zin said.
The liepard crouched low before springing into the air, aiming his claws at the airborne pidgeot. He was eager to show off his jumping skills; all birds ought to fear the mighty leopard!

A cloud of feathers erupted from the Pigeot as he shrieked in pain from the Scratch, flying away in a wide arc from the Liepard.
"Use Gust!"
Algol whipped up his wings and formed a large vortex that swallowed up the battle field.

Zebo felt the wind tear at his fur and growled.
"Scratch again!" Zin said.
The liepard leaped up once more, fighting against the wind that still buffeted him.

Algol managed to dodge the Liepard claws again, saving himself from more pain. In retaliation, he used Gust again on Zebo.

Algol squaked at the slice of the feline's claws along his wing. Diving toward him, the Pigeot used Wing Attack on the Liepard.

Zebo roared as the pidgeot's wing struck him on the nose. His fur stood on end as he blinked away tears, rubbing at the sore spot. He was lucky it wasn't bleeding, but it sure did smart!
"Scratch!"
Zebo was all to eager to mete out some revenge for the critical attack.

Algol was beginning to really hate felines. They only thing they were good for was eating. He used another Wing Attack against Zebo when it was their turn.

Zebo was about ready to try anything. Electricity charged through his body, and he sent a jolt toward Algol.

Algol felt his form stiffen as the Thunder Wave hit successfully. He dropped like a stick into a pool of water to the stadium field; his wings outstretched and body writhing under the electrical sparks that cackled from him.

The liepard leaped onto his opponent and merrily raked him with his claws. Birds were a lot easier to catch on the ground!
