Hyperborea was out on patrol, but her mind was else where. She was feeling down, she seemed to be on this emotional roller coaster lately. Some days she was angry, some days she was content, and other days she was depressed. She kept thinking about that night, even if Babylon was right and the youma wasn't her fault, which she didn't really believe, she still had told her father that she hated him and completely ignored her mother those were purely her doing.
She continued walking down a street of what she guessed were office buildings and shops. She suddenly felt an aura that brought her out of her thoughts. It was an aura she was quite familiar with. The senshi of war, Penthesilea.
Oh God, Penthe! I had forgotten about her. I missed what...2 session. She started towards the aura. I really hope she isn't angry. Once she saw the red head she called out to her a bit trepidatiously. "Penthe."

Penthe had been absolutely frantic. When Hyperborea missed their first scheduled training session, she wrote it off - the kid was fourteen, she probably had a ton of homework or something, and she forgot.
The second, though, that was when she stopped writing it off and started worrying, and the longer she went without any kind of contact from the Page, the more worried she became. It meant that she was shooting off after every Page aura she felt, which was good in some ways - ey, new Pages- and bad in others - ey, lots of wasted time.
The longer it stretched, themore she feared. What if Hype had been killed? Or worse, corrupted?
Actually seeing the Page - not a Page anymore! A Squire - alive and whole was a blessing, and Penthe ran forward, going to sweep her up in a hug.
"Hype! You're alive! I was worried sick, child, don't do that t'me!"

She had been worried the older girl would be angry or upset that she had disappeared but hearing that she had made her friend worry made Hyperborea feel even worse.
She returned the hug. "I'm sorry Penthe. I know I should have contacted you. Its just...alot of stuff happened. I kind of forgot about our sessions cause of everything." Her voice shaking as she tried to explain.
She took a breath. Penthe deserved a full explanation, she was a close friend afterall. "Penthe, do you...watch the news?"

"Call me next time!" Penthe said, "Or send me one'a your fancy knight letters." Those worked, right? She wasn't exactly intimately familiar with the workings of Knighthood communications.
But...well, those were the type of words that someone only opened with if there had been some kind of tragedy. "No..." She admitted, and her tone was a bit wary. Had there been some kind of large-scale attack? Or was it more personal?

Hyperborea took deep breath. This wasn't easy but Penthe was her friend and she deserved an explanation, really on a certain level Hyperborea wanted her to know.
"There was...a youma attack. It happened after a fight I had with my parents, I had left to patrol for while and a youma broke in. I think it sensed my aura but I don't know. When I got back....." She paused trying to both find the words and hold back the tears that were already forming remembering what had happened. "My parents were gone, I killed the youma after turning squire but I was scared and ran away to my wonder for a few days. When I came back, I was so focused on patrols I guess I just forgot about training."
"I'm sorry Penthe, I really didn't mean to worry you." She said her eyes downcast.

Penthe felt her heart sink. "Oh, Hype," she said. She couldn't even imagine losing her mother or Taji to a youma or an officer, never mind both of them at once. Especially not after she'd had a fight with them. It was why she always powered up far away from home and from the restaurant - her aura was a beacon of light, now, and a delicious thing for youma to track. But she wouldn't blame a child for not thinking of that.
"I'm so sorry, sweet thing. Do you need somewhere t'stay? My mama'dput yuo up,no questions asked. She already knows who - what, I guess, I am, an' what I do, an' she sure as hell ain't no officer." The offer and associated assurances came without even a moment's thought. Hyperborea was like a second little sister to her, and the idea that she might not have somewhere to go pulled at her heart.

"Really You'd do that. I...Merci, that would be great Pethe." She said truly glad to have a friend like the senshi of war. Hyperborea couldn't refrain from giving the older senshi a quick hug.
"I'm working on moving into the crystal dorms but if you could put me up for a few days while things are being worked out, that'd be great." While she didn't mind staying at Babylon's and she was very thankful for all he had done for her, she would feel a bit more comfortable staying with Penthe and her family.
"Are you sure I wouldn't be a burden? I could at least give you guys some money for living expenses or something." She offered.

"Of course," Penthe wrapped her arms around the younger girl, holding her close and unwilling to let go. "I promise you won't be no burden, sweet thing, Mama's been on me to help out some'a my magic friends anyway." She laughed, a little. Her mother worried after people she hadn't even met yet.
"You can stay as long as you need, while you work all that out." She fluffed Hype's hair and let her go, stepping back. "Let's go now, then, 'fore somebody notices me and we gotta fight our way home."

"Tu es ma meilleure amie." She whispered as she held onto the older girl. "Sounds good" She said as Penthe let her go. She followed the senshi's lead, powering down as they left.
