Megrez's mind was in something of a flurry recently. Most recently, there was the business with Chariklo, and she hoped the Dark Mirror was healing well. When they actually had time to talk, there would be plenty of apologies and questions, to be sure. There was also the business with Hugbell, which she and Sadachbia emerged more or less okay from. She still needed to hunt down Hugbell and ask if she remembered anything about her trade routes, or any business dealings that would have resulted in Hugbellion plushies being sold in Megrezian stores. Lastly, there was the mess at the Luna Bay concert that Glitnir told her about. Glitnir had stayed strong through the Chariklo and Amytis rescue mission, though now that it was done, his wounds were bothering him. She hoped he would recover quickly.

While patrolling and picking through her mental Rolodex of the recent messy events, Megrez felt a solitary basic senshi aura in the area. She certainly wasn't going to leave a basic senshi unattended, especially after the messes that kept happening. Her mind flashed back to poor Warhol, who had been tossed into a dumpster for being alone. She needed to at least escort this senshi a little bit. With precision, she hopped from rooftop to rooftop, then to a slightly lower ledge so that she could see the senshi and the senshi could see her.

"Hello down there!"

Megrez flashed the basic senshi a winning smile before jumping down to her level. "What are you up to? Normal patrolling, or something in particular?" She paused, then added, "Mind if I come with you? It's been dangerous around town lately. You don't know when a Negaverse General or Captain might show up and try to make your their next conquest." There had been some Captains and a General or two at Chariklo's mission. The mission might very well have shaken them out of the woodwork and sent them scurrying throughout the city to step up efforts of their own.

"That does sound lucky," Megrez said. "My experience with the upper ranks hasn't been so good. I nearly got killed by a General when I was a basic senshi. If an Eternal senshi hadn't intervened, I'd be dead." She followed the other senshi's footsteps. "But I definitely agree with you on Corrupt Senshi. I haven't encountered many, but I've heard mostly bad news." Kerberos was something of an exception, since he seemed to be struggling to find a way out, but the more recent example of a Corrupt took precedence in Megrez's mind: the Corrupt who attacked and drained Penthesilea at the New Year's event. She still wanted to find and at least maim that one.

"Got screwed? What do you mean? Was he caught trying to purify?" It sounded like a sad story, that one. Elpis's story concerned Megrez; she knew of a few Eternals who would reach out to newbies. Where had they gone? "Really? I know of a few who would probably be willing to help you. Eternal Sailor Ida would be likely to help. Thraen would be, too, if you can find him. And I can get Penthesilea for you! We're... close. That's two or three extra Eternals right there." The verve slipped out of her voice as she went on. "But I guess you're right... Eternals seem to be hard to find these days. I think there will always be more first and second-stagers than third-stagers, though. I'm glad you're doing your best to help who you can." There was a pause before she continued. "I don't think I gave you my name. I'm Megrez, Senshi of Eggs. What about you?"

"They do exist," Megrez said plaintively, though the next question brought her to a painful answer. "I don't know," she said, and it hurt to admit it. "I don't know where they all were." She lowered her head. "You can always rely on each other. You sound like you're doing a very good job of helping people."

Megrez nodded. "Oh, no, I understand. It is hard, definitely. But everyone is fighting for it all. Every person who even so much as dusts a youma is helping to fight. I know you feel alone, but there are other people fighting, even if you don't see them. And some of us couldn't turn our backs on this war even if we wanted to." She had a feeling that this senshi wouldn't buy what she said, but she hoped that she could inspire at least a little more confidence in her.

"It's true," Megrez admitted. "The teamwork isn't as good as it should be. And public opinion is definitely a problem." She smiled and squeezed Elpis's hand. "That's right. People like us are needed. People who want to talk, people who want to build. We need to work to defend and listen. Maybe, if we all work together, we can get some converts." Squeezing Elpis's hand again and then releasing it, Megrez gestured forward with her head. "Come on. How about we patrol a bit? I'm sure there's a youma looking to get dusted."
