OOC Notes: My main idea is this - a mature guy owns an apartment where he used to live with his ex-girlfriend. She thinks he isn't capable of raising a family, so he adopts a child. He goes through the paperwork and everything, but she isn't impressed. He has a younger sister, age 14 whom he picks up after school and on weekends to keep an eye on her until their mom is finished at work. In the roleplay, we don't see the mom as an important character, though. It's a concept of growing up, both as an adult and as a child.

~Personality~ Brook is very cool and collected when it comes to her decision-making. She goes with the flow and doesn't usually deny an insult when it's given to her. She doesn't see the point of being emotional and usually keeps a straight face during a struggle. Fighting only causes suffering, but she'll do anything to protect those around her. Her sole purpose is to ensure that the Ancient Dragon is safe. When she's off duty, she spends most of her time fishing and swimming.
~Biography~ The Ancient Dragon King had aided the Qualvier family during a war among dragons. Without seeking help, he led them to victory. This was no challenge to him, so the Qualvier family vowed to aid him and anyone involved with him at any costs in order to return the favor for the great deed. To this day, the promise lives on.
Brook's real name in the dragon tongue is Brokvharina, which obviously, humans would get sick of pronouncing all the time. Her dragon form existed in one of the deepest depths of the ocean, where her dragon mother gave birth to her. She emerged from the waters a century later, ready to protect the king, as is tradition in her family.
She swam for miles until she reached his kingdom. When she left the water, she turned into a human. She cannot turn into a dragon again unless she is in water. She met with the king and was told that he had no particular need for a protector. Despite this, she feels obligated to help whenever she feels it is required. Otherwise, it'd bring shame to her family name and they'd never let her return home.
~Extra~
She only fights when those against dragons are present. She can only turn into a dragon when it involves water. If it doesn't, she uses a scythe passed down in her family. She prefers to use it as a bo-staff. She usually analyzes the enemy's movements before charging in to attack. If it means hiding, then so be it. Her fighting method involves venturing deep into the waters and attacking similarly to a shark, biting at any prey that come too close.
~Abilities~In dragon form, she can create a vortex in the water by spinning with her wings spread underwater. She has ice breath that can freeze humans in 10 seconds flat. She can change the shape of the water to whatever she desires, but if she uses her ice breath and is in the water, she is at risk of becoming frozen with it. As a human, she can create a slender dragon with water that she uses to surround the enemy. Or she can freeze it solid, then strike at it with her scythe to throw shards of ice to the enemy, stunning or hurting them. She can create an ice barrier with this, as well. She does not, however, have a last resort and/or trump card.
~Weaknesses~
She can't turn into a dragon unless she's in water.
She is weak against electricity. If in human form, it has no effect though.
She doesn't like plants, algae, or being indoors for longer than 3 hours.
She's cold-blooded, so she doesn't like heat. If she's burning, she uses her ice power to let it melt into water and cool herself off a bit.

~Personality~ Gwyn is very sensitive. She cries easily and hates conflict. She's sentimental and doesn't try to hurt other peoples' feelings. She believes that peace is the only answer to the world's problems. This is simply because she's a child, though.
She doesn't fight as a human. When she does fight, however, it's because someone tried to come at her from the neck. If someone attempts to, for example, choke her, she will turn into a dragon and grab them, then throw them aside. Her method of fighting keeps enemies at a distance. The necklace she wears is very dear to her and she'll protect it.
She enjoys baking and loves writing in a journal. She writes stories of what she and the fellow dragons have done, so in case they go extinct, it will be documented. This is justified because she seldom turns into a dragon, so she has learned to write as though she were a normal human being.
~Biography~ Gwyntahlon Lucipherus was born during a summer solstice. At age 4, she saw her mother get killed by dragon hunters. Her family crest flew off of her head when they cut her neck. She turned human in order to protect herself. They then went after the father, who told her to run as far as she could, and that he would find her when it was all over. She grabbed her mother's crest and did exactly as her father told her. She ran from the men with their armor soaked in dragon blood
After having traveled many miles, she encountered Will. Something about him made her automatically trust him. She ran into his arms and cried. It turned out that he too was a dragon. She was delighted to know that she wasn't alone. She asked if he had a place where she could stay.
Once she was finally able to rest, she encountered some red ribbon and tied it around the crest. She then wore it as the necklace she holds so dear.
~Extra~ Her mother's crest will glow when she transforms into a dragon. She will only do so when threatened. Any time a fellow dragon touches it, she gets defensive. If an enemy tries to kill her, she will most certainly transform into a dragon, where the crest will be infused into her neck instead of worn as a pendant.
~Abilities~She only uses her powers as a dragon when threatened to a great extent. If everyone around her is fighting and she's being ganged up on, she transforms. All of her attacks involve slamming down her tail, thrusting enemies aside with her arms, slamming a foot down to make enemies lose their balance, picking them up and literally throwing them away from her, and
~Weaknesses~
She's afraid of the dark. When in human form and in the dark, her crest will glow as a night light. It puts her right to sleep because it reminds her of her mother's lullabies.
She doesn't trust anyone wearing armor
She is weak against any spells used against dragons, even as a human. She needs to learn how to counter it from Will, which will take time to master.
Her last resort only lasts for 5 minutes, and once it's done, she turns back into a human and immediately collapses. When she comes to, she will remember all of the damage she had done and cry.

Biography: Cameron was an only child for 10 years. In that time, he was always worried how others felt about him. Their opinion mattered greatly to him. At school, he would always get good grades to gain his mother and fathers' approval. He enjoyed family dinners around the table. He followed traditions frequently.
Cam was very social. In high school they called him a lady's man, because everybody wanted a piece of him. He lets his chocolate hair grow out a bit before cutting it, so it gave a bad boy look. His ex girlfriend, Sam, was no exception. He was amazed by her lucious blonde hair and her willingness to spend time with him. She, however, cheated on him for different guys.
Sam started spending less time with him after they both turned 21. She was off partying with her friends and, over time, having intimate relationships with other guys. He thought she wanted a committed relationship and to pursue his life-long dream of getting married and raising a family.
Having a feeling it was something he'd done, he confronted her and asked why she didn't want to be with him anymore. "You need to grow up!" she yelled. "Take some responsibilities and be a man!" and with that, she stormed out. He was heartbroken.
He was 10 years old when his little sister Hannah was born, and he knew he wanted to have kids one day. She was the most adorable thing ever. He was 16 when they divorced, and he couldn't stop worrying about how Hannah felt. He supported her every step of the way, so much so that she didn't need therapy to talk about it. He loves his little sister wholeheartedly.
To try and prove to Sam that he was a responsible adult, he adopted an orphan at Hollydell Care Center. Sam wasn't impressed. Now he's single and taking care of two kids: the orphan, and Hannah.
Personality: Cameron is a charming young adult. As mentioned, he's cautious what others think of him, and does what he can to make them think kindly of him, even if he seems to be a brown-noser. His priorities are not at work, but around the family. Cam is in fact not childish. Sam just needed a proper excuse for her cheating behavior.
Cam loves to teach Hannah everything he knows. She's his everything and even taught her how to do chores you'd expect a husband to do, like mow the lawn and clean the gutters. She thinks it's funny how he's under the impression she'll use that knowledge in the future.
Cameron enjoys walking around the park and he always takes Hannah to the carnival. He isn't looking for a relationship, but if one comes along, he just hopes they both have the same goals. The only particularly childish thing about him is that he doesn't stay organized around the house. He'll pick up clothing and stains, but the rooms usually end up a bit dusty. He's not exactly a handyman either, so he'll need to call a repair man.
He's what you'd expect for a cook, since he takes care of his little sister. It's not perfect, but it has heart and it's acceptable. He can't cook anything fancy, though. The side-dishes are always from a box, but everything else is either homemade or store-bought and then customized. For example, he buys chicken, but can choose to grill it or season and then cook it, but he doesn't know how to fry it.
More information: Because his mother is also single, she's entrusted him with picking up Hannah after school and taking care of her, since his job's hours "luckily" (he requested it) coincide with his sister's school schedule. She stays at his place until their mom picks her up.
He and Hannah wash his 2004 Sedan together and he tries to give her tidbits of Driver's Ed before her school does. She doesn't do the actual driving, he just...teaches her basics, like what PRNDL means, and what certain lights under the dashboard mean.
How can he live in an apartment alone (for the most part)?
Instead of going to college, he spent his life savings on a cheap apartment and anything he may need to stay there. From there, it's that his job gives him enough money to not only buy groceries, but also pay rent. As a consequence, however, most of the stuff he has is cheap, so if he needs to buy new shoes, it cuts into the grocery money.
Does he talk to or spend time with his dad?
His dad moved out of state, so while he can't spend time with him, he does call his dad twice a week on a landline phone (he'd need a better job in order to afford a cell phone)
Why would his mom need Cam to babysit a 14 year old?
She works 2 separate jobs to keep the house she lives in with her daughter. Cam bought the apartment with Sam, thinking they'd get married and stay there. Also, it helped his mom with money problems by moving out. He does in fact love his mother, enough to help in this way. It's the least he can do to pay her back for what she's done for him as a mother.
