As she was wont to do, Teleri woke well before the sun. In the predawn light the Flocklands were quiet, most of the members asleep at this time of day. For the most part, Teleri remained still, curled up with her wings folded tightly to her sides, neck turned and muzzle tucked into the warm feathers. She waited, for a sign of movement from her mother or sisters, but they all seemed content to remain asleep. 'Well that's no fun...'
Lifting her head slowly, the white filly glanced around, her red eyes scanning the area. There was no sign of promising movement, so she unwound herself from the tight coil she slept in and climbed to her hooves. Stretching out her wings and legs, the filly arched her neck and flicked her tail before shivering off the last hints of sleep. Well, if adventure would not find its way to her, she would find her way to it. Stepping gingerly over the sprawled bodies of her sisters she gave a last flick of her tail as she left them behind, picking up a cheerful trot. She knew just what to do next.
Time to find Miela and go on their gathering journey. What harm would an early start do? Cantering to the nest of her favorite gatherer, Teleri slid to a stop and gave a soft whistle. "Miela? Mieeeelaaaa! It's day! Guess what day it is? Guess, guess, guess!"
