☆ PERSONALITY 》 In short, (no pun intended,) Helga is an arrogant bigot who believes that the Valkyries as a race are superior to all other races, with a very few exceptions. She is of the opinion that attending Amaterasu Academy is a big waste of her time, but she has been instructed to do so, and she is not one who will defy or ignore the orders of her superiors.
☆ ABILITIES 》 In addition to her skills with melee and ranged weapons, Helga has a moderate amount of talent in the use of song-based magic and sound-based magic.
☆ WEAPONS 》 Long sword and metal round shield. (Shields are normally classified as armor, but if you can hit someone with it, then it's a weapon.)
☆ TALENTS/HOBBIES 》 Singing. (She can sing from memory all of the female parts of Wagner’s ‘Ring Cycle’.)
☆ HISTORY 》 Helga is a member of that proud race of women warriors who fly over the battlefields and choose from among the brave and noble warriors the ones who were to die and ascend to the glorious halls of Valhalla. Even though she was born a Valkyrie, that doesn’t mean that she is automatically qualified to work as a Valkyrie. She is old enough to attend the Valkyrie Finishing School, after which she will become a Valkyrie-in-training, but it seems that the board of acceptance for the Valkyrie Finishing School has become overly concerned about her alleged ‘attitude problem’ in regards to dealing with other races. In order to correct this supposed problem, the board of acceptance has decided that she should attend a couple semesters at Amaterasu Academy as a sort of a ‘tough love’ lesson in tolerance and sensitivity to diversity. There was also some concern about her tendency to smack others for even suggesting that she might be a bit overweight. (She’s big-boned.) Helga was very displeased with this turn of events, but what could she do? Orders are orders, and since attending this academy is now the only way that she’ll get into Valkyrie Finishing School, that’s what she’ll have to do. With some luck, her fellow students will soon recognize her obvious superiority, and the school’s faculty won’t take long in recognizing the fact that she really doesn’t need to be there.

☆ LIKES 》 Pork, chicken, and everything else classified in the meat group except for beef, bouzouki music, and Helen, his lovely, muscular, fiesty, and short-tempered Minotaur girlfriend back in his home village.
☆ DISLIKES 》 Beef (eating beef is like eating a relative), Turks (Taur absolutely hates Turks. It's a Greek thing.) Romans for essentially stealing and renaming the Greek Pantheon. (No respect!) He also isn't fond of the German paratroopers that invaded Crete during that little disagreement known as World War 2 and made a mess of things, but that was before his time. Magic (see Personality).
☆ FEARS 》 Failing his classes and returning home in disgrace.
☆ PERSONALITY 》 Taur is a fairly easy-going person who can get along with most races, unless you try to kill him, in which case he'll be glad to return the favor. His basic approach to hand-to-hand combat is hit first, hit hard, hit fast, and hit often. Taur does not trust magic, having heard too many stories about how magic will fail or backfire on the user, and he is suspicious of those who wield magic. Instead, he relies on the divine power of his patron deity, Ares the Greek God of War. By showing his patron deity the proper reverence and by employing the proper invocations, Taur can wield a portion of Ares' divine power. (See below.) While magic is fickle and untrustworthy, divine power works every time! That being so, Taur does not call upon his deity for assistance except in dire need. Ares does not look favorably upon a warrior who is constantly pestering Him for help with battles that the warrior can handle by himself.
☆ ABILITIES 》 Ares' Spear, a shaft of pure energy that strikes with the force of a god (Ares, to be precise); Achilles' Armor, an enchantment that strengthens the armor worn by the warrior on whom this power is granted, or provides a form of armor if that warrior isn't already wearing any; (The name refers to the ancient Greek hero Achilles, and the power grants extra protection to the heels.) Speed of Hermes, an enchantment that allows the warrior to move with unnatural speed; and Battle Hymn, a hymn of praise to Ares that raises the courage and morale of the warrior and his allies while sowing discord, confusion, and despair among their foes. (Please note that these are manifestations of divine power, not magic. Refer to Personality for further information.)

☆ TALENTS/HOBBIES 》 Reading (he can read Homer's 'The Iliad' in the original Homeric Greek). Enjoys a good game of rugby now and then. (He believes that if you aren't limping at game's end, you weren't playing hard enough.) Hasn't played American football, but he's intrigued.
☆ HISTORY 》 Taur was born in a thriving community of Minotaurs on the Isle of Crete. His namesake is none other than the Greek hero Achilles, who happens to be the greatest hero that the world has ever seen, in Taur’s opinion, and Taur knows that he has some big shoes to fill if he hopes to be anything like his namesake. (Speaking of shoes, Taur hopes that in time everyone will forget about that little thing about Achilles’ heel.) It was noticed early in Taur’s life that he had a fairly high level of intelligence (for a Minotaur, which isn't saying much). Added to that was Taur’s prowess as a warrior and his total devotion to his patron deity, Ares the Greek God of War. It was much to the surprise and delight of Taur and his entire family when he received an invitation to attend Amaterasu Academy. Taur considers it to be a great honor because he will be the very first member of his family to attend an institute of higher education. (Going by the way that his mother had gone on, and on, and on about it, one might have gotten the idea that Taur had just been anointed Lord Emperor of the Entire Universe.) At the present time, Taur’s first and foremost priority is to graduate from the Academy. Graduating with honors will be nice, but just getting the diploma will be enough for Taur to say ‘Mission accomplished’. On the other hand, returning home without the diploma will be a great disgrace that will bring shame upon Taur and his entire family. Needless to say, Taur is determined to ensure that such a disgrace will not happen.
