Nobody seemed to have any answers. Somehow, a quhar had escaped its pen and gone gallivanting around the compound. No fences were broken and nobody would admit to letting it free or seeing it break out so Sebastien had been called in to take care of the situation. He stood a distance away, eying the rebellious creature with his hands on his hips. Well then. He didn't really personally care how the thing had gotten out so long as it got back in. It had been bucking at the newbies, apparently, and threatening a one-quhar stampede. This just went to show that each beast could not be lumped into one single set of expectations.

"Hup!" It was a fairly average vocalization, but one that made you look like a bit of an idiot outside the compound. The quhar looked up, lazily chewing a sprig of clover. Sebastien began to approach and the beast grunted. Another three steps and it stomped the ground. "Uh-uh. We're not gonna play that game." He cracked his whip and the quhar grunted again, the fur atop its shoulders shuddering. "Hey-!" He cracked his whip again and, rather than charge as the young man came even closer, the quhar watched carefully. Sebastien was able to put a hand on the beast's flank and give it a pat. The creature relented and gave a more pleasant sort of snort before the young charmer looped a rope through its functional nose-ring. There. Now everyone could stop pretending they hadn't seen or done anything at all.
