You have met Lancelot before. He is the one that inspired you to become a knight. This is a past knight memory.
Oliver was tired, hungry. Working in the stable was hard and exhausting, but just being around the horses was a reward to the young boy. They were honest, unassuming, willing to take you at face value with no judgements- He was suddenly given a light smack over the head and a hastily delivered order to go prepare one of the larger stables. Looking towards the entrance he saw a man there, holding the reigns to a beautiful white horse. He petted the creature's nose fondly.
You realize you have been chained before. You feel pain, fear, and then nothing as your body twists into a weapon and you are sealed. This is a weapon memory.
The chains cut deep, rubbing through soft layers of skin-like bark. It peeled in gentle flakes, and golden sap flowed from the raw wounds with every struggle. It hurt, he didn't want this, he didn't ask for this... He wanted to scream, but every tendril in his body was warping, twisting, and then there was nothingness.
You remember what brought you to Camelot in the first place. It was the collapse of everything around you. It was the despair that drove you forward and gave you determination. This is a knight memory.
The smell of smoke hung heavily in the air. Oliver's face was dirty, covered in ash and tears and dust as he sobbed against the withers of the grey, round-bellied pony. He didn't know where the pony was taking him, just that every step was farther from the place his family died.
You remember training to one day become a knight. This is a knight memory.
Oliver tumbled backwards, tripped under the weight of his own axe as the knight swung towards him. The pain was the last measure, and tears rose in his eyes. What good could a failure of a boy like him every do? Could he even be a knight? The firm, calloused hand of his current guardian helped him up, and as though reading his mind, told him he would grow up strong.

As the memories, the past selves, peeled off the doors and revealed themselves to him, the boy began to feel them as his own. Some, a scared, angry creature, the overwhelming majority, a scared, longing child...
Oliver knew what he was. They had both been a victim of terrible things, but he was a Knight. He had sworn his vows because he wanted things to be different, he wanted to be strong, or at least try to be strong, and protect what he could protect. That was how he wanted to be valued, by standing up on those timid, shaking legs, for those who could not stand at all. He would be the meekest, most fragile barrier against the darkness, but a barrier nonetheless.
Oliver stepped through the blue door.
