Hyperborea sat on a high branch of a tree in the park plucking her bow's string. She had intended to go out on patrol around city. But she had lost the will to do so. She just wanted to be alone right now, maybe her aura would draw a youma to her that she could take her anger out on. Unfortunately it seemed the universe had other plans she felt an order aura approaching her.
Inwardly she groaned, she didn't want to talk to someone right now, but she realized this aura belonged to a page. That changed things somewhat, this page might be newly awakened or might not be a good fighter. She had been a page just a short while ago, she understood how confusing or dangerous things could be for a page.
She felt that as much as killing Youma and stopping negaversers were part of her duty, so was talking to pages who approached her. If this page needed advice or help with fighting she should help them as other people had helped her. So she choked down the urge to be short tempered or to simply leave to avoid being social.
She waited for the page to come into view. She was an earth page, one of Camelot's people. She seemed to be running into them all of a sudden, with her encounter with Falias the night before. She looked young, maybe just a few years older than Hyperborea herself. And she was cute.
Hyperborea mentally slapped herself. What are you thinking, dammit you need to keep your focus on what matters. Your duty is to kill youma and stop negaversers not think of how pretty a girl is. She berated herself.
She shook her head and dropped down from her perch. "Bonsoir earth page, may I help you?" ZaiaFantasy here's a start let me know if I need to change anything

Little did she knew but Hyperborea was stealing her bit. It was usually her in the trees dropping down on Newgrange and making him jump, if he didn't know her power signature so well. She just liked being in nature, anyway, so it was nice to feel a power signature of good as she approached her usual grove. She thought maybe she'd missed her calling as a Lost Boy or some equally forested character in another life.
By now she was pretty set in her usual routine and though she'd narrowly escape death only a few weeks ago she went out still to master her fears and do her duty. She always told Arias that this was not worth dying for but if people were willing to kill for it...maybe she was wrong.
"Hello?"
She knew someone was there and knew enough to know that this person wasn't likely to want to hurt her, being on the same side as she was.
"I know you're there. I'm Sherwood."
Though her thoughts were torn between her, dare she think it, boyfriend and her partner, Newgrange. And Papa Camelot saving her from what would have certainly been an early death.

Hyperborea slung her bow over her shoulder and dropped down in front of the girl. "A pleasure, Sherwood of Earth. I am Hyperborea of Cosmos." She said formally. She offered a hand to the girl in greeting.
Sherwood, the forest featured in Robin-hood. Not an Arthurian story but one she knew well none-the-less. She couldn't help but wonder how much her wonder matched the stories. Earth wonders, no really all wonders begged that question. There were myths behind each of them it seemed, some fit their myths well like Camelot while others like my Hyperborea are fairly different.
"Now then did you need something Sherwood or were you just walking by?" If it were the latter she could just return to her solitude and wait for youma to show up, if not she would give any assistance asked of her.

We both have bows? I thought that was my thing...
She watched Hyperborea as she dropped down, giving her plenty of room to do so. She'd never met a Cosmos knight and unlike Sherwood, which she assumed was the forest of Robin Hood legend, she had never heard of a Hyperborea. Was this a new breed of knight not tied to the planets?
Honestly, she knew too little about the powered world to know the answer to that.
She knew some people lived up to their wonders. Papa Camelot was just like the knights of the round table in her eyes, someone kind and brave and stalwart. He'd saved her life. The fact that she was out and about after such a shocking scare, without Newgrange, was somewhat surprising.
"I was patrolling, I guess. Though not very hard. You're the first person I've met. I haven't really wanted to meet anyone, that's why I'm in the woods. I love it here. I feel more like myself in the forest, but I guess that's not surprising considering my name."

Hyperborea could sympathize with not wanting to meet anyone. Had she know she wouldn't have even bothered coming down to talk to the page. However she had and she couldn't in good conscious leave it at this.
"One question: Can you fight, are you able to defend yourself?" If the answer was yes the squire of Cosmos would let the Earth page get back to her patrol but if not....

"This war isn't something I want to die for."
She'd told everyone she knew as much, but those thoughts were sort of driven home by the fact that she had almost died for this war already and hadn't been prepared. She hadn't even been looking for it. One moment she was patrolling in peace and the next this insane Nega lady was trying to skewer her like a kabob.
She sighed and slumped.
"I probably should learn something, though."
Bashing at things with her bow did not seem to be the most effective thing.

"And nobody should ask you to. But even if you never powered up again and tried to live a life of peace, trouble has a way of finding people like us. So even if your not gonna be looking for a fight I think it's better to know how to defend yourself so that if the fight finds you your prepared." Hyperborea hoped that made sense.
"Perhaps I could show you a few things. I'm a pretty good fighter, if I may say so myself. " She knew that the negaverse was just as much a threat to those not participating in the fighting as to those who sought out battles, so she'd rather this page know how to fight and never use than not know how and run through by some agents weapon.
"Here attack me as if I were a negaverse officer, I'd like to see how you fight right now." She said kindly. She figured there wasn't a good chance this page could actually hurt her and she had enough control to not actually hurt the girl so a sparring match seemed like a good way to begin teaching her.

"Too late," she murmured softly.
She hadn't died but too close for comfort.
Sherwood looked at the Cosmos knight and shrugged, feeling sort of apprehensive about the whole thing. She knew how to whack people with her bow but no amount of combat training seemed like it would beat that wicked looking spear Painite had had. The only reason Camelot had stopped it was because he had a big metal shield.
She gave Hyperborea a questioning look and then shrugged again, bringing up her bow to start whacking her fellow knight in her usual manic way.

ZaiaFantasy yeah sorry I've been really slow with tagging lately, also fin? Hyperborea watched the slower page attack. Her attack was blunt and uncoordinated, usable against youma or someone else who doesn't know how to fight perhapse but worthless against a trained fighter.
She easily side-stepped the attack, grabbing Sherwoods arms and knocking her feet out from under her. Hyperborea used Sherwood's momentum to flip her onto her back. She was careful to control the throw and not put her full power into so that she didn't hurt the page.
She offered a hand to help the downed page up. "Your movements are kind of sloppy. Try to keep in mind where your opponent can move to, few if any opponents will stay in the same place during a fight. Now if you'd like I can show you some good moves."
