back dated to 5/27Hyperborea reappeared in the spot she had left from. The young squire's now short hair fluttered softly in the morning wind as she collasped to her knees. Days without food had taken its toll on her, she was glad she had trained on Hyperborea with Theseus but she had pushed her body to its physical limits from lack of sleep and food.
Her hands were still wrapped in the linens she had used as bandages. Her bow was clutched in her left hand.
It took her a moment to sense the overwhelming and all too familar aura. Camelot. Oh God. He didn't wait for me, did he? I never even considered.... She struggled to her feet and tried to see where he was.

If there was one thing this war taught Camelot, it was patience. He knew how to wait, when he had to, and how to do so while torn to the core with worry. It was not like he had any other options, after all, as he could not go to her Wonder to look for her.
As much as he wanted to.
At the very least, he knew that was where she went. It did little to comfort him, though, as she had not yet returned, and as the hours passed, his worry grew. A day turned into two and he did not see her. What if she came back in another place, and he missed her? Should he go out and search? But if he was out searching, she might come back while his back was turned and he would ensure himself missing her.
But there were times that he had to leave this post, to check in with work or home or take care of personal things. What if she had come back during one of those times?
As it turned out, his worry was quickly ebbed as he felt her aura below. Moving to the edge of the roof he was perched on, he looked down to see Hyperborea wobbling down below. She did not look great, but he imagined there had been no supplies for her at her Wonder, which would explain things a bit. Leaping from the roof, he landed with a heavy metallic clang of armor and hurried to her.
He caught her in a hug, lifting her up off the ground as he did so.
"You're back! I'm so glad you're safe! You worried me like crazy! Don't ever do that again, honestly, my old heart can't take it." He put her down, looking her over, "are you alright? What have you been doing for two days?!"

She was a little surprised when the Royal Knight lifted her off the ground in a big hug. The stone face facade that she had tried to build up on her wonder was already cracking. When he put her down she felt ashamed. She had made him worry, she hadn't even considered that people might be worried about her back on Earth while she was training the past few days. "I'm sorry I shouldn't have run away from you like that." She thought about how easy it would have been to send a message to Camelot explaining where she was and what she was doing but she hadn't even had that much consideration for a man who has been nothing but kind to her. "I didn't mean to make you worry so much." She said looking down.
"I'm fine, kinda light headed but that should pass once I get some food." Her stomach let out a pained gurgle in agreement. She blushed a bit and held her stomach as the familar hunger pains hit her again.
"As for what I've been doing. I needed to be stronger so I was training with Theseus. He taught me how to use my magic and aspect, as well as helping me with my shooting and hand to hand fighting." It was mostly true. She didn't think she needed to tell him what had happened when she first went to her wonder. He was worried enough he didn't need to hear that for a moment she considered ending it there.

"Oh, it's okay," Camelot said, offering her a warm smile. He was just glad to see her again, whole and okay. He had worried about the worst possible outcomes, and thought he might not see her again at all, but she was back and that was a very good step. He did not assume she was okay, though, just because she had come back to Earth.
She had suffered a lot. The police and news reports were all too clear. Her family had been killed by a youma, though of course the stories left out just what had attacked them. A wild animal, maybe.
"Well, let's get you some food, then, okay? You can tell me about your training, if you'd like. I just... want to make sure you're alright. I can't help but worry. Some say I'm a master at just that."
He grinned, then powered down, not sensing any other auras in the area, and imagining it would be easier for them to get some food if they weren't dressed like crazy cosplayers.
"Ah... how are you feeling?" The last time he saw her had not been a particularly easy night for her, and he knew it took much longer than a few days to be able to deal with something like that. For whatever it was worth, he would offer to be there for her, and do what he could.

"Thanks."she said softly before powering down. She followed his led not really caring where they went. "I assume you mean about what happened." With just about anyone else, she would have lied. She would have said she was fine and ended the conversation there. But Camelot was special, he was one of the few people she felt she could be honest with. More than that she felt like he deserved an honest answer since he waited for her.
"Honestly it still hurts. It hurts so much, I can't stop it either. I see their faces, especially in my dreams." She said absently reaching back to her short hair remembering the reason she had cut it. She didn't want her mothers hair, she didn't deserve it. Before she had been so proud of her long white hair just like her mother's but now when she looked at it all she could she was her mother's dead face.
"I see their faces so clearly, Mama, she looked so afraid and in pain. And Papa...." She had to take a breath before continuing. "Do you know what my last words to him were? I told him that I hated him. It was all over a stupid fight. God, I'm a horrible daughter." She said looking at the ground as tears streamed down her face.

Tony looked at her, listening intently as she recounted her story. He knew that she had suffered a profound loss before she left, and he had done very little to help at the time. She vanished to her wonder and he did his best to wait for her, but he felt so impotent and useless. It was not easy, knowing she needed help, but not being able to do anything at all.
Of course, even now, with her back here, he was not sure how much he could do. It would not deter him from trying, though.
When she started to cry, he stopped and put his arms around her, holding her close to him for a moment just to give her support and remind her that she was not as alone as she felt. He kneeled in front of her, looking up at her so he could get a look at her face, catching her eyes directly, his hands now on both of her arms lightly.
"Let me tell you something about being a father. Inevitably, your child is going to tell you they hate you. That's part of growing up, for both of you. But nothing you ever say can ever take the love your father has for you away. No fight means more than that. You are not a horrible daughter, you are someone who is growing up, and learning, and suffering. I don't doubt for a moment that your father knew you loved him, whether it was the last thing you said to him or not. Don't let that one moment be the way you remember him. You loved him, right? And he loved you. And he's always going to be there with you, a part of you, as long as you hold on to that love. No one can take him away from you, even if he's not here to hear you say it to him directly. Hold on to your love for him, for your mom."

Lithiasaur I think we can start bringing this to a wrap Ciel had promised herself that she would be strong back on her wonder but already the dam had broken. She felt bad that she was leaning on tony so much but he seemed so strong and kind. She held onto him and cried.
After a bit of crying she was able to get herself under control. "I hope you're right. I loved him...I loved them both more than I could ever describe. And more than I told them." She said sadly wiping her now red eyes.
"Merci. Tony it really does mean alot that your here for me." She said. She was truly grateful. The older librarian didn't have to take care of her like this, after all she wasn't one f his children. But he was still here, patient and kind. He was a bright spot in what felt like a much darker and lonelier world.

Aurelius Ambrosius Sounds good to me! We can probably end it around here. Tony let her cry, letting her do so for as long as she needed. There was not much else to mourning, and it was much better than being forced to keep these kinds of emotions locked away. That did far more damage, in the long run, and though this was a difficult time already it did not need to be made worse.
He smiled at her and nodded quietly, when she finally pulled back and was able to speak. To him, it was as simple as being a friend to her, and he would do whatever she needed him to do. All he wanted was to see her happy, and to help her so she knew that she was not alone.
He might not be able to offer her much, but at least he could try.
"Do you want me to take you anywhere? After we get you some dinner. Come on, there's a nice little place that's probably pretty empty just around the corner here."
A quiet night would do her go, and he offered her his hand again, willing to spend the time and wanting to see her taken care of.

Lithiasaur sorry this took so long, but fin Her stomach let out another pained growl. "I just want to get some food right now, the rest can come later." She said softly worn out from crying and her training and everything else that had happened the past few days. Three days of only water and intense training had really taken it out on her.
She took his hand and let him lead the way.
