Elise leaned against the bathroom's door as she stared down at her phone. She counted down the seconds until the five minute alarm went off with a chime as the sound. The brunette took a deep breath as she slowly reached over and took the light purple and white pregnancy test. Her mind replays surge same thoughts over and over again only one stripe, there's no way, and its only because of stress I'm late...very late. Her hand brought the test closer as she finally noticed the stripe of pink...then the other. The next seconds were filled with the sound of her softly gasping and the test hitting the floor, as if suddenly letting it go would reveal a different outcome. She was still hesitating to even believe, pregnant? That wasn't ever a possibility in her mind, even when she was late...very late. She mentally criticized herself for not checking sooner, it's been two months since she last had her period and only today did she actually decide to check.

The next thoughts that hit her like a brick wall was how she was going to tell him. Her eyes checked the time before she quickly began to clean up the test and placed it back in its box. She took the box out and threw it into the garbage before heading back into her home, waiting on him to arrive so she could tell him the news she still had yet to determine was good or bad.

She looked up when she heard the front door being opened and she moved from her spot on the couch. Elise pushed her hair back behind her ears as she watched him, slightly curious as to what he was so excited about. "Hm?" She started before gasping when he picked her up. The gasp was replaced with her laughter as she looked down at him, hands touching his as she smiled. One of the things she loved about his was how his happiness was contagious, or maybe it was because she was in love with him that when she saw he was excited about something it made her happy. "I have some news too" she started, knowing she was going to get this out sooner or later. It's not like she could hide something like a pragmancy, soon enough it's going to be very apparent that she isn't just bloated or been eating too much. She waited for him to put her down as she looked down towards his shirt, thinking already about placing this shirt as well as some other dirty clothes into the washer "you tell me first though" she spoke, not wanting to spoil the mood if he should take this the wrong way.

Her eyes widened a bit when he brought up his old home as she slowly grew excited "really?" She asked happily before she actually thought about the circumstances of how he was getting it. He was switching gangs...wasn't that dangerous alone to switch sides? And on top of that, he was going to basically be a bodyguard. What if he got hurt protecting the boss? She relaxed due to his kiss before she looked up at him, was this really a good idea? "Danny, isn't it a little...dangerous?" She asked softly. She was always scared that one day, he wouldn't come home. That something terrible would happen like a fight or a drive by and he gets the worse end of it. Her worry was bound to increase if he was actually suppose to protect someone at all costs.

Elise walked over to him though she stayed behind the couch and simply leaned down to hug him, she loosely embraced him with her arms around him, clasping together in front "the word shouldn't isn't a definite no" she murmured as she closed her eyes, letting out a small sigh "just be careful, you can't be too cautious, especially since you're going to be the new guy" she said softly before letting go "I'm going to go make us food, do you want anything special?" She asked as she headed to the kitchen, typing her hair back into a loose bun as she opened up the pantry so, reminding herself she needed to go grocery shopping in a couple of days.

For a moment, maybe a few seconds at most Elise froze up, reminded that she had to tell him her little surprise. She forced herself to keep moving, as if his statement hadn't even phased her "how many rooms were in that house?" She asked, completely ignoring his reply, or at least she was trying to. Elise began to boil water to make pasta as she stood over the stove, thinking about how she was going to word this for him.
