Jagger was creeping closer and closer to the interior of Venezia's carnival and camp every time he came in. No, not because he was looking for stronger fighters, or to pick on healers...but because he was sure it was where the better food was! He was getting tired of meager camp rations and trail mix, and there was only so much popcorn and cotton candy one could enjoy before it got pretty old. There had to be good stuff, like pizza and turkey legs somewhere, and he was sure the carnies were hoarding it all for themselves! So the troll crept from tent to tent, sniffing the air for yummy scents, when he spied something out of the corner of his vision. It looked like a moving shadow! Upon closer inspection, he could see its beastly form and he idly wondered if this was one of the fabled darkbeasts from that darkness god. But what was one doing here? He thought those things only stayed underground...deciding to investigate further, he pulled out his jagged blade and rushed the thing, attempting to impale it to see if it was solid or not!

Jagger watched it dart and then launch back in viciously. Even as the teeth dug into his shoulder above his armor he grinned. "You ARE a darkbeast, aren't you!" he says rather too excitedly, before attempting to sink his own big pointy teeth into Black death's neck in return.

Jagger growled right back at him while his teeth were buried in his neck, though it was more in fun from the troll than seriousness like from the darkbeast. He had no time to react when the hold was released on his neck, feeling their heads collide almost immediately. He loosened his own hold and shook stars from his vision, before slashing his sword at the creature again.

Jagger admired his speed, well until he got chomped in the arm. He yelped, dropping his sword, but after a moment grinned. "Okay, we can play this way," he says, aiming claws at Black Death's face.

Jagger missed with his claws mostly, but managed to pull the arm out of the way of the next chomp, he grins and this time he aims a hard punch at his opponent's face.

Jagger chuckled as he hit him square on the nose. He watched the beast circle him and he moved to circle too, so when he got rushed, he moved just enough to catch part of the barreling move but not the whole force of it. "Is this where I say 'bad dog?'", Jagger says, as he tries to kick him in the rear as he goes by. Though the troll wasn't entirely sure what he was, really. Were those bat ears or bunny ears, anyway?

The next thing Jagger knew, he was on his back with claws digging into him. He hit his head hard on the ground and in a daze, he mumbled something unintelligible, before trying to headbutt the beast, hoping his horn would do some damage in the process. As much as he was having fun he didn't wanna lose again, it was always embarrassing having to admit it to Snakebite!

Jagger didn't have a chance to avoid it, he left himself wide open when he missed, and the jaws clamped down hard. He was already woozy, but that death bite was enough to make the troll pass out from pain and additional bloodloss, going limp with a groan.
