Labyrinth said a few unkind things in her head when she saw that colt in the group of park guests that had been gathered for her to escort to the ride.

"Ok, it's ok, smile, look enthusiastic, if you don't look him in the eye maybe he won't notice it's you." she told herself through a teeth gritted grin. She tilted her hat down a little further over her eyes to try hide a little more.

The week before, Miss Glory the teacher had a small get together on the last day of school. Foals who'd been born just prior to the summer break were brought in and introduced to their peers in order to help make friends. When it was her turn, Lab had jumped onto Miss Glory's desk, to her sister's embarrassment and her brother's amusement and boldly introduced herself.

"My name is Labyrinth and one day I'm going to be the most famous archaeologist the world will ever know!" Her introduction was met with some claps and some giggles and a couple....comments.

And now, here she was, dressed up like a famous movie archeologist and she had to take that foal in her group. Ugh.

Not even Lab's dark fur could hide her embarrassment, but she wore the big smile for the sake of the rest of the group. "When my mummies said I should work for the park for bits, I didn't know they'd put me on this ride. This isn't what I meant at ALL" She wondered if a couple of foals looking at each other with huge smiles on their faces would look odd so she cleared her throat, jumped on a pile of boxes, and stomped her tiny hoof to get everyone's attention.

"Good afternoon ladies and gents! Welcome to Indiana Ford's Adventure!" a small smattering of polite applause. "In a moment, we're going to be plunged into the jungles of Kartmandoom, where will we be searching for the lost treasure of Monchu Ponchi!" She watched Wildflour out of the corner of her eye. A small green light on her "explorer's uniform" light up, signaling it was safe to bring in the next group. "Please follow me and be prepared! The jungles are dangerous and we don't know what traps the ancients laid to keep their treasure safe."

Labyrinth jumped off the box pile with a small front flip, landing neatly. "Let's go everyone!" The entrance point became clouded over with smoke and the filly marched through.

One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six. she silently counted as each member of her group filed in. Once the small group entered the building, everything became very dark and the air became hot and damp. Jungle like noises, the tweeting of birds, calls of wild animals piped in from hidden speakers. Light barely began filtering through the canopy above them.

"Ah, I hope a storm will come by soon and break this heat..whew!" Lab said as she guided the group through a narrow path that was thickly flanked on all sides by dense foliage and trees. "It shouldn't be much further and we'll find the entrance to the cave next to a large stone pillar!"

As soon as she said that, she turned to the right and there was the pillar. "Wow I'm not very perceptive, if that'd be a trap I'd have been de.." A loud rumble and suddenly two large "stone" slabs crunched together right where Lab had been standing, but the foal had dove to the ground right before they could crush her. The mother and daughter in the group screeched in surprise.

"WELL THEN!" came the unicorn's voice behind the stones. "That was rather rude I'd say. Also, I'm not going to make any more jokes about traps or anything because that was distressingly close. Ok let's see.." The stone slabs rumbled lightly and began to move. "The..positive thing about this..is..that this means..we're going..the right...way!" Labyrinth had been pulling a rope that was moving the slabs apart again and with a final tug she'd managed to pull them open enough for the group to keep going. She stood to the side as the group pushed forward. One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six.

Labyrinth felt her face heat up at the look Flour gave her. What was that about? She was just trying to have fun and do her best for the group. She sighed a little. Maybe she wouldn't have any friends at all, and it wouldn't even be because of her fangs! But Flour was six, and so she circled around the group and put on her biggest smile again.

And so she lead the group through the maze towards their final destination. She dodged poisoned darts, helped the group across the scary bridge, and even got a fright herself when the screen which projected a large scary image of a ancient god flashed before she was ready. "I might have forgotten about that one.." she joked, even though the short hairs of her coat and mane were on end.

And then, they reached the cave, and in the cave was a large room where a huge golden idol rested. "There it is! We found the treasure! Now we just have to get it! Since I'm the professional explorer here," she inwardly cringed at that line. "I will get the idol!"

A hop, skip, and a jump later, Labyrinth landed on top of the idol's resting place and scooped it up with a "TA DAH!" But the moment was short lived. The room started shaking, the walls started to crack, dust filling the air.

"We have to go!" she called urgently, stuffing the idol into the empty saddle bag she'd been carrying. "This way!!" she cried, leading them down a long hallway that had rocks that cracked as the passed and a ceiling that seemed to be dropping lower.

Labyrinth guided them group to the final stop, the minecart roller coaster.

"Quickly everyone get in! The whole cave system may collapse! This will get all of you out the fastest!" She went around, making sure everyone was safely buckled in before the safety harnesses came down.

one.two.three.four.five..wait? six? six six six six oh gosh where was wild flour?

A tiny light flashed on the console near the coaster controls, Lab had no choice. With all the passengers secure she set the coaster in motion, the next group would be there soon and the cars needed to be back into place before they arrived. She grabbed the first aid bag and slung it around her neck, taking off the way they'd come.

"Wild Flour?" she called as loudly as she could without risking disturbing any other groups already making their way through the maze. "Wild Flour where are you??" Oh please don't be hurt! she prayed silently Please oh please be ok!

Labyrinth scooted to a halt, breathing a bit heavy and then throws her arms around the colt. "OH THANK GOODNESS! Are you ok?? Did you get hurt or lost? I bought the kit!" she thrust it forward forward. "I have everything! Band-Aids and some things to help with pain and to wash out eyes! Are you sure you don't need anything?" she asked anxiously.

This might have been something that might have passed for a romantic moment if the walls didn't start pulsing and liquid smoke didn't start pouring through the cracks again.

"Shoot!" Lab grabbed Wild Flour's hoof and dragged him down the hall quickly and into a large curtain of vines. Passing through them, Lab shoved a employee only door open and yanked him through, closing it quickly before the next group reached them.

"WHEW!" she exhaled deeply, glancing at Wild Flour through her bangs. After a couple moments to catch her breath and let her heart calm down a little, she said. "Did you..mean what you said back there..?"
